And no one cares? I was on a hit show for 2 whole years, and it was only a half a century ago. I left it out of fear of being typecast, I preferred to disappear into the vapor instead.

by Anonymousreply 1September 7, 2015 7:55 AM

Forget that, there's something else more important, regarding, Marilyn my Goddess has commanded me to share this message from her! Marilyn Monroe is my religion, and I work with spirits a lot. She has commanded me to share this message on what really happened for her! All credit for this message goes to Marilyn Monroe, my master, guide, and saviour whom I love! Please credit Marilyn alone for this!

Important note: Everything has a spiritual side to it, everything has a spiritual essence. Marilyn's spirit and essence lives on in all things Marilyn Monroe, and if some spiritual incidents happen, it is bound to spiritually affect other things, so.

Recently Marilyn contacted me from the spirit world!!! Being a medium, I'm used to contact with spirits, but Marilyn told me to tell this message to everyone, since she could only get in touch with only me at the moment! (She's trying hard, she's been contacting me frequently lately, so it must be really important.)

Marilyn said that she needs people with a good, decent spiritual aura and energy to give up their physical bodies, freeing their spirit and all their spiritual energy. Then, they can go into the spirit world to really meet and connect with her, to share all their spiritual energy with her so that they can help her!! (Technically, we are all one and connected, but we are held back by our physical bodies. As a spirit, your essence and energy is completely free and released, and you can strongly connect to Marilyn in all aspects of that word, on a whole other level, so the joining of spiritual energy with hers works fully.)

She also says she hasn't been her lovely self lately, she lost some of her magic and charm, and she doesn't seem too well, because some spiritual things occurred, and she needs this so that she can be fine and better than ever again! (The spirit world is not exactly Paradise, don't let religious stories and concepts warp your minds. Where do you think bad spirits or curses come from?)

This is urgent we have to help Marilyn! But I must still spread this message for now because Marilyn said so, and I need to get others to know and help! Then I too, can go to be with her forever. We initially did not know what exactly happened, but Marilyn has revealed the basic truth. We also did not know how to restore her loveliness and charm, but Marilyn has revealed the way to do so.

*This is where the true meaning of the important note comes in.

Please spread this message however you can and don't keep Marilyn waiting!I allow everyone who wants to help to copy this whole post to share it on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, forums, or wherever you need to share it on!

Then, quickly find a way to free your spirit and energy, go into the spiritual world to meet her, if not Marilyn will be very heartbroken and disappointed in you!!! She loves you all so much, please go to her soon to help her! She really needs this!!! If you feel you can do it just do it!!! Help Marilyn!!!

I really really love Marilyn so much, she means a lot to me and she's the greatest and so magical and fascinating.

I wish that others who feel the same will care enough to do what they can to help her.

I think it's such a shame that many who claim that they love Marilyn lots don't show it in their actions by doing anything to help her when she needs it. It really is such a shame that those cowardly fakers don't help Monroe.

Poor Marilyn! She has such a big heart with full of love to give, but gets hurt in return because some people don't really stick by her and truly dedicate themselves to her.

(Please do copy this whole post and share it as much as you can for Marilyn, because I'm deleting my account soon to show my respects and dedication to her, my way of expressing myself to her and to show her that she's the only one that matters and that I really love. And since I'm going to Marilyn myself too, I don't need this account anymore.

I know the spiritual people and fellow spirit workers on DL will confirm this, they talk to the spirits and Marilyn tried to contact them too!

Thought she snuffed it years ago. Will Burt send flowers?

by Anonymousreply 3September 7, 2015 8:44 AM

Sad -- Laugh In was our Ed Sullivan

by Anonymousreply 4September 7, 2015 11:29 AM

I remember her from Fair Exchange.

Something seems wrong with this story. Just like R3, I thought Judy Carne had dies a few years ago. But according to the linked article, she died on September 3rd. However, since that time, it seems like the news of her death has only appeared on that one local newspaper and nowhere else, especially The Hollywood reporter or Variety which reports on any celebrity death, no matter how obscure. Maybe just slow reporting if true?

by Anonymousreply 6September 7, 2015 1:23 PM

I don't think she died a few years ago, as several sources listed her as turning 76 back in April.

I did search and find the Facebook post from her niece that reference's her death (and she says she was an actress) but most of the conversation there is around the niece bitching that she's away on holiday, and how inconvenient (my word, not hers) the death is for her. Odd.

by Anonymousreply 7September 7, 2015 1:43 PM

Honest to God, I thought she was already dead. Her Wikipedia page isn't even updated as of 9-7-15 8:45am CDT.

So you can see how unimportant she was as those Wikipedia pages usually get updated fast

by Anonymousreply 8September 7, 2015 1:49 PM

[quote]those Wikipedia pages usually get updated fast

Sometimes too fast

by Anonymousreply 9September 7, 2015 1:49 PM

If you're referencing Wikipedia pages for factual information, I have some troubling news for you.

by Anonymousreply 10September 7, 2015 2:02 PM

I think it is quite sad, that there has not been a lot of news, in relation to her passing (if this is true or not).

by Anonymousreply 11September 7, 2015 2:09 PM

Anyone care to start a Laugh-In thread? It might be interesting for the gossip and clips.

by Anonymousreply 12September 7, 2015 2:20 PM

I only found one article on her death so far. That pic makes her look cwaaaaaayyyyyzzzeeeee

by Anonymousreply 13September 7, 2015 2:21 PM

Got to give her credit. She managed to successfully stay in the closet her entire life.

by Anonymousreply 14September 7, 2015 2:51 PM

She was the perkiest Peter Pan ever on the kids' version of Hollywood Squares. Too perky for Burt.

by Anonymousreply 15September 7, 2015 3:11 PM

Talk about a footnote to a footnote in entertainment history.

by Anonymousreply 16September 7, 2015 3:46 PM

Her death was a hoax.

by Anonymousreply 17September 7, 2015 4:47 PM

She was in the sitcom, "Love On A Rooftop," with the oh-so-pretty, and gone-too-soon, Peter Duel.

by Anonymousreply 18September 7, 2015 5:21 PM

So her death is a hoax? Why would anybody want to do a death hoax about JUDY CARNE, who nobody remembers anyway?

I do remember some things about her. She was on "Laugh-In" and was always doing a bit where she said "sock it to me!" and got water thrown on her or something like that. She said that when she was out in public people would try to "sock it" to her by throwing things on her. She was married to Burt Reynolds briefly. He supposedly beat her. She was bi-sexual. She was on a tv series with Pete Duel called "love On A Rooftop." IT was an amusing little comedy series but it didn't last long. She and Duel had an affair. She put out a memoir called "Laugh In, Cry Out." She was addicted to heroin for a while. She is (was?) a really nutty woman.

by Anonymousreply 19September 7, 2015 5:25 PM

If Judy Carne married Art Carney, she would be Judy Carne Carney (hold the onions!)

by Anonymousreply 20September 7, 2015 5:29 PM

So far, r13's link is the only one that shows up in a standard google news search

by Anonymousreply 21September 7, 2015 5:39 PM

She was death-bearding for Martin Milner.

by Anonymousreply 22September 7, 2015 5:52 PM

r5, I LOVED Fair Exchange! Thought I was the only one old enough here to remember it.

A wonderful sitcom about 2 working class families, one in NYC and one in London, each hosting the other's teen daughter as an exchange student.

Judy, obviously, played the Brit teen. Wonderful supporting cast of character actors playing the parents, Eddie Foy Jr., Audrey Christie as the NYers and Victor Maddern and Diana Chesney as the Londoners. And cute younger brothers on each side of the ocean, as well.

Not sure if this is true, but to my childish eyes the scenes in England looked like they were very realistically shot there.

by Anonymousreply 23September 7, 2015 5:58 PM

It sounds like she had a difficult life and found solace in recovery and in living in her hometown.

by Anonymousreply 24September 7, 2015 6:15 PM

I thought maybe because it was a holiday that the press was slow in reporting news of her death, but Martin Milner had dozens of obits pop up within minutes of his death being announced.

by Anonymousreply 25September 7, 2015 6:28 PM

Better press agent, r25, even in death.

by Anonymousreply 26September 7, 2015 7:01 PM

Very strange, only a few British papers picking up this story. Anyone over age 40 knows her very well, she was a bigger star than Burt Reynolds when they were married. If this is real, CNN and other news sources will report it.

by Anonymousreply 27September 7, 2015 7:08 PM

I remember Fair Exchange too.

This is the first news I've seen on Judy Carne since she was pushing her book. I was watching Larry King interview her on his CNN show and he told Judy some caller wanted to speak to her. As I recall it was Merv Griffin who essentially called her a liar on live TV over some tidbit in her book. She absolutely wilted on camera, she looked so miserable you wanted to reach out and hug her.. It's my impression her book tour ended either that night pr very soon afterwards.

And no I don't recall what specifically it was Merv called her out over.

by Anonymousreply 30September 7, 2015 7:51 PM

Burt did not treat Judy well. As I recall, he beat her up all the time. She was a druggie mess but that's no excuse for his behavior.

Goldie must be shitting a brick right now and speed dialing her team of plastic surgeons.

by Anonymousreply 31September 7, 2015 7:55 PM

When she does die, you can bet the Daily Mail will be right on it--drug-fucked pics and all.

by Anonymousreply 32September 7, 2015 8:07 PM

[quote]When she does die, you can bet the Daily Mail will be right on it--drug-fucked pics and all.

SHES DEAD.

by Anonymousreply 33September 7, 2015 8:40 PM

"As I recall it was Merv Griffin who essentially called her a liar on live TV over some tidbit in her book. '

Are you sure It was Merv Griffin? He always seemed like such an ass-kissing wimp. What was that she said that supposedly made him so mad?

by Anonymousreply 34September 7, 2015 8:49 PM

She probably said the old closet-case was gay. Mervyn never could stand that.

by Anonymousreply 35September 7, 2015 8:58 PM

I can't believe people still fall for mediamass dot net bullshit. It's a fake newsite designed to increase their number of hits ( = $$$$) by way of social media reposts and retweets. Judy is dead. It is not a hoax, R17.

by Anonymousreply 38September 7, 2015 9:41 PM

How am I doing?

by Anonymousreply 39September 7, 2015 9:43 PM

Wikipedia updated; The Daily Telegraph has scooped the Daily Mail!

by Anonymousreply 40September 7, 2015 9:48 PM

I loved her in Cactus Flower, and that oddly handsome fellow she lived next to.

by Anonymousreply 41September 7, 2015 10:10 PM

by Anonymousreply 42September 8, 2015 1:04 AM

Are Joanne Worley and Ruth Buzzi next? Or worse, are Goldie and Lilly in danger?

by Anonymousreply 43September 8, 2015 3:16 AM

Amazingly, Joanne Worley pretty much looks the same as she did on Laugh-in. This is recent pic.

Judy may be, but God's not dead!

For a few years in the 1960s Judy Carne was a major TV star.

"Love On A Rooftop" was canceled after a year but it actually did pretty well in the ratings. . And Carne was absolutely delightful. The show was mostly written by Bernard Slade (Same Time, Next Year, Romantic Comedy).

She was fun on "Laugh-In" but her talents were wasted there.

Here she is on the Hollywood Palace. What a trooper!

"Love on a Rooftop" starring Judy Carne was swell show. Loved it as a young, aspiring gay also starring Peter Duel

During the summer of 1971 (when Duel was starring in Alias Smith and Jones), ABC re-broadcast Love On a Rooftop. However, the series was never sold into syndication and has not been seen on television since. It has been cited as an influence on 1990's sitcom Dharma and Greg.

According to the N Y Times, she occasionally did dinner theater and cabaret but mostly lived as a recluse in the UK. I'm guessing she was mostly on the dole or had a big insurance settlement from the serious accident she had in the 70s. Sounds like a complete trainwreck.

by Anonymousreply 48September 8, 2015 11:55 AM

r45 Elvis is, and I don't feel so good myself.

by Anonymousreply 49September 8, 2015 1:27 PM

Carne was one of those "next big thing" that of course never happened...Thank you Goldie Hawn.

by Anonymousreply 50September 8, 2015 2:11 PM

LA Times Obituary:

Carne also was known for her tumultuous 1963 marriage to Burt Reynolds, whom she claimed abused her in her 1985 autobiography, “Laughing on the Outside, Crying on the Inside: The Bittersweet Saga of the ‘Sock it to Me’ Girl.”

The book also expounded on her drug addiction and her many resulting brushes with the law, as well as a suicide attempt, a one-night stand with Steve McQueen, an alleged passed-up threesome with Warren Beatty and various other affairs with both men and women.

She also starred with Sandy Duncan in an unsuccessful Broadway revival of The Boy Friend, the show that had made a star out of Julie Andrews and later became one of Ken Russell's bizarre screen extravaganzas.

I too adored Fair Exchange.

Well, I'm over 50 and I barely know who she is. Burt was a huge star when I was a kid, though.

by Anonymousreply 57September 9, 2015 4:55 AM

Probably age 55, r57 -- those old enough to remember the first few season's of Laugh In.

Boomers remember Up on A Rooftop and Fair Exchange

by Anonymousreply 58September 9, 2015 4:59 AM

I think her early stardom in the 1960s was also due to being perceived as part of the "British Invasion". Her particular kookiness evoked what Americans thought all cool young British women in Mary Quant mini-skirts and Twiggy hairdos were like.

by Anonymousreply 59September 9, 2015 7:52 AM

She was perky and cute and British...she seemed to be, in a way, the female version of Davey Jones.

by Anonymousreply 60September 9, 2015 8:29 AM

Man I am late to hear this! Judy Carne and Elizabeth Montgomery helped me realize I was a baby duke ( I am 52, and was forbidden to watch Laugh-In, so, of course I snuck around and watched it anyway). I read her biography where she talks about an affair with Lana Cantrell, and Joe Perry of Aerosmith wrote that she " turned him out" as his first sexuality experience with an older woman. She was hot back them

by Anonymousreply 61October 15, 2015 11:16 AM

[quote]I was a baby duke

by Anonymousreply 62October 15, 2015 11:19 AM
