I LIKE STRAIGHT-ACTING GUYS, BUT EVEN KNOWING THEY'RE GAY USUALLY TURNS ME OFF

Read this interesting article.

Being attracted to masculine guys, gay or straight, is normal. Being exclusively attracted to straight guys, however, means you are going to be single the rest of your life. Straight guys don't have sex with men unless you are prepared to pay them an insane amount of money and even then it's questionable that they are "straight." The person who asked that question is an idiot.

by Anonymousreply 1August 26, 2015 5:03 PM

That's just a common form of self-loathing.

I mean as he admits, just knowing a guy is gay is a turn-off for him. He has internalized that being gay is negative, is a bad thing.

Sadly you see that too often, many posters here suffer from it.

by Anonymousreply 2August 26, 2015 6:00 PM

Thank you Sigmund Freud, I mean R2, for that brilliant deduction.

by Anonymousreply 3August 26, 2015 6:03 PM

This is the first time I read that a feminine gay man also may show signs of internalised homophobia. Internalised homophobia is usually attributed to masculine gay men who reject feminine gay men.

by Anonymousreply 4August 26, 2015 6:14 PM

Right. The only people who don't experience internalized homophobia are the ones who actively fuck feminine guys. Of course! It all makes sense now. Have a cookie.

by Anonymousreply 5August 26, 2015 6:18 PM

I'd rather be with a gay guy (however he acts) than a guy who wants to have gay sex, but has a girlfriend at home and says he can get 'into men' but couldn't have a relationship with one.

Bu-bye.

by Anonymousreply 6August 26, 2015 7:14 PM

Uh, good for you? Bye. :)

by Anonymousreply 7August 26, 2015 7:16 PM

What is really at stake here is a healthy relationship. As a gay men we are often looking to be saved by a man who will make us feel secure with the complexity of who we are, and defend us to " the others"- whether that is family, friends, or the guy who called you " fag" repeatedly in high school. But that is a male fantasy that is only about female subjugation. Straight men liked to feel like they have "saved " the woman in their life from some anonymous danger so that the woman will give into their ideal of power and control. Gay men don't need to be controlled- we are already men. And that is really the point: if you felt like a man, comfortable in your own skin, you wouldn't desire that which you think represents a man. I have gone on many dates where my date is overly willing to hand the controls over to someone else in exchange for feeling protected from a society of bullies. But being your own man keeps you from whoring out your self- esteem for the want of an imaginary defense. I want a man to treat me like an equal. That is the best thing about being gay: that I don't have to get involved in some pre-ordained battle of the sexes. If the poster looked at gay men as men- instead lesser than- he would find ,at least, internal happiness. Sorry to be so long winded.

That is like an extreme fetishization of masculinity and he has been strongly brainwashed by society to believe masculinity is a heterosexual monopoly.

Kind of, he wants to be the defenseless princess twho needs a strong prince to come and save him.

by Anonymousreply 9August 26, 2015 7:48 PM

Maybe the complainer is transgender and just doesn't realize it yet.

by Anonymousreply 10August 26, 2015 7:50 PM

R10 Realistically speaking, women don't tend to fetishize masculinity in men.

by Anonymousreply 11August 26, 2015 7:56 PM

Could be R10. R11 is also correct. Why do gay men fetishize masculinity then?

by Anonymousreply 12September 6, 2015 7:47 PM

[quote]Maybe the complainer is transgender and just doesn't realize it yet.

That's what I thought.

He wants to be a girl.

by Anonymousreply 13September 6, 2015 7:55 PM

[quote]Realistically speaking, women don't tend to fetishize masculinity in men.

Women often like a strong female streak in a man. They also often fall for gay men.

Men often like butch women in the same way. Look at the way they love Julia Roberts. Hardly tres femme, is she?

I prefer gay men to straight. The fact that a guy is into other guys turns me on. Even watching porn, if the guy is really "gay4pay", I don't want to know. I don't understand the gay men who prefer straight men.

I agree.

Op is a fucking homophone and I'm hoping he drops dead.

by Anonymousreply 17September 6, 2015 8:01 PM

It's not the OP, it's the guy who wrote the article.

Unfortunately this is true many gays . I have seen this on chatburate /Cam4 .

Most gays won't give 5 tokens to two hot gay guys having sex but willing to give 200 tokens for just a flash of cock from douchebag "straight guy"

by Anonymousreply 19September 6, 2015 8:14 PM

[quote]Unfortunately this is true many gays . I have seen this on chatburate /Cam4 .

Do you spend a lot of time on chatburate /Cam4?

What else have you observed?

by Anonymousreply 20September 6, 2015 8:18 PM

R19, one of my favorite "straight" Chaturboys declared last week "I've been a tad adventurous lately. I've always identified as straight but recently I'd say I'm more bi-curious right now. I let a guy suck me off, and I got off."

by Anonymousreply 21September 6, 2015 8:22 PM

That's homophobic R19.

by Anonymousreply 22September 6, 2015 8:22 PM

[R20] LOL No I don't .

However few things I have observed that 1. Gay guys preferred "straight " Turkish men and willing to give lot of tokens to them.

2. Almost all the German gays are into fisting and leather and are washed-up drug addicts.

3. Poor black gays guys are least in demand.

4. Poor east Asian gays are second least in demand .

5 Even though South American men are as "straight" as their Turkish counter part, they are far less shy and willing to do anything for lot less tokens. Turkish men on hand won't even touch each other ..Anyway they don't need to do that since they get tons of tokens without doing much.

6 UK gay couple are most generous of all .They are willing to show lots of hot gay sex without any tokens (free of cost)

7. straight guys are douchebags and lot of time don't deliver their promises

8. There are very less Scandinavian guys on cam4/ chatburate

9. Same with Dutch and Swiss guys

10.You do realize that they are still internet connection in Syria,Egypt, Iraq and other middle east/North African countries and their "straight " guy are willing to do free c2c to women and MEN.

11. Indian guys are either for tokens or for girls. Otherwise they will kick out in ziffy . They are most homophobic /money minded people

12. Pakistani men will never reply to you if you are a male . Though they would never kick you out (unlike India men). You can continue to flirt with them without getting any response

by Anonymousreply 23September 6, 2015 8:39 PM

Uh okay
