Tasteful friends, peer inside Brooke Shields' Long Island abode

I love the Daily Mail fraus who live in Chav council flats in Sheffield remarking, "Kitchen's a bit small, ain't it?"

by Anonymousreply 1August 13, 2015 10:51 PM

Too much white.

[quote] The star, who was married to Andre Agassi from 1997 to 1999

What the...? Why would they put that in and completely ignore the fact that she's been married to Chris Henchy for 15 years and has two daughters?

by Anonymousreply 3August 13, 2015 11:02 PM

boring, like her

by Anonymousreply 4August 13, 2015 11:04 PM

I think its lovely. I also think hes a genuinely nice lady.

by Anonymousreply 5August 13, 2015 11:14 PM

SHE ! SHES a nice lady !

by Anonymousreply 6August 13, 2015 11:16 PM

I think it's nice. For me. She's been busting her ass since she was in diapers and that's all she has to show for it?

by Anonymousreply 7August 13, 2015 11:18 PM

Where is Chris Atkins?

by Anonymousreply 8August 13, 2015 11:20 PM

I guess she doesn't keep the Keith Haring painting in Long Island.

by Anonymousreply 9August 13, 2015 11:30 PM

Some of the upholstered seating is too oversized for a 1920s dwelling. All the white is appropriate for the setting, but keeping it spotless must be hell on Consuela.

by Anonymousreply 10August 13, 2015 11:37 PM

Frankly, it looks like my home, which is sad.

She's still hot though.

by Anonymousreply 11August 13, 2015 11:43 PM

She hit the wall when she was about 19.

by Anonymousreply 12August 14, 2015 12:02 AM

R3, I laughed out loud when I read that line, too.

It looks like a ladies house. Its rather bland and the garden is "twee grand" and her table setting is ATROCIOUS. I say OK to the fuchsia accents!

I do not like beach houses with low ceilings. Cabins/Camps at the lake or in the mountains, yes.

I dont understand why extremely rich people buy city apartments and beach houses with low ceilings.

by Anonymousreply 13August 14, 2015 12:11 AM

If I had the cash and wanted an american beach house, perhaps one of the big wedding cake Victorians in Cape May NJ. Although that would wash away one of these days.

New England buffs seem more secure feeling than Long Island and NJ sands. Now I'm used to the ancient towns on hills above the calm Mediterranean. Very restful.

by Anonymousreply 14August 14, 2015 12:34 AM

She looks better than her place.

by Anonymousreply 15August 14, 2015 12:37 AM

Is it all available at your local La-Z-Boy?

by Anonymousreply 16August 14, 2015 12:40 AM

I love the kitchen. The living room with the beadboard and the gold walls is super dated and busy. The other two rooms are good.

by Anonymousreply 17August 14, 2015 12:53 AM

It's cosy and inviting. I liked it.

by Anonymousreply 18August 14, 2015 1:03 AM

IIRC, GH did the entire inside of the home in a deal she made with them. It's one of several homes she owns and I think she actually rents it out.

by Anonymousreply 19August 14, 2015 1:10 AM

I'm not a regular reader of lifestyle/decor magazines, is it normal to show a place setting with only a knife and a fork?

by Anonymousreply 20August 14, 2015 1:17 AM

I think R19 explained why its shoddy for a career star.

by Anonymousreply 21August 14, 2015 1:20 AM

R1 that joke is just too British for me to fully understand it, but I still lol’d.

by Anonymousreply 22March 26, 2021 5:23 PM

Very much her look - unpretentious, comfortable and clean. Nothing dramatic or too trendy. Low key family house. Her townhouse on West 10th street is the same - simple, earthy, unpretentious. Except that it costs $10 million and is next to Bradley Cooper.

by Anonymousreply 23March 26, 2021 5:42 PM

2015.

by Anonymousreply 24March 26, 2021 5:45 PM

I have that sofa. It’s from Hildreth’s

by Anonymousreply 25March 26, 2021 5:47 PM

Its 'perfect' for Better Homes and Gardens- he said with disdain.

by Anonymousreply 26March 26, 2021 5:48 PM

Andre Agassi made her sound like a dumbass in his book.
