I think sexual orientation is fixed and determined in the womb. What happens I think is that a huge number of people are bisexual and, generally they feel much more attracted to one sex than the other. When they finally experience attraction to that other sex they might think their attraction is fluid or swaying but it is not. You were always attracted to both sexes, it is just that the right person from the sex you are much less attracted to never showed up until now.
