How would "I Love Lucy" be different if it had been sponsored by a marijuana company instead of a cigarette company?

Friends, are you tired, run-down, listless? Do you poop out at parties? Are you unpopular? The answer to all your problems is in this little bottle. Cannameatavegamin! That's right, Cannameatavegamin contains cannabis, meat, vegetables and minerals.

Ethel never would have said, "I have sufficient."

by Anonymousreply 1July 24, 2015 5:16 PM

[italic]Mame[/italic] would have been a much better film, but she'd REALLY need a reason to open a new window!

by Anonymousreply 2July 24, 2015 5:19 PM

They would have actually finished that giant loaf of bread.

by Anonymousreply 3July 24, 2015 5:21 PM

If you get the blu-ray box set of the first season, there is an option to watch the shows as they originally aired with the original cigarette commercials. Those are fun to watch. More doctors recommend Phillip Morris!!

by Anonymousreply 4July 24, 2015 5:21 PM

"Philip Morris Cannabis is the only marijuana for me. You think I could work for that cold nasty woman without it ? No way. That's why Jess, Madeleine, Bob and even Desi smoke it from the time we arrive until we leave whenever the bitch from hell dismisses us !"

Fred would've put Little Ricky in a microwave while babysitting him.

by Anonymousreply 6July 24, 2015 5:31 PM

They could have given the REAL reason why Lucy's mother, Mrs. MacGillicuddy, was so loopy.

by Anonymousreply 7July 24, 2015 5:34 PM

They'd have to change the name of the show to I Love Doritos.

by Anonymousreply 8July 24, 2015 5:36 PM

Ricky's screen test would have been for [italic]Dude Where's My Car[/italic], which would have been called [italic]¿Hombre, Dondé Esta Mi Auto?[/italic]

by Anonymousreply 9July 24, 2015 5:41 PM

Aunt Martha's Old Fashioned Green Goddess salad dressing would have made them rich.

by Anonymousreply 10July 24, 2015 5:44 PM

"Hey Cesar, you wanna swing on this ?" would have been a line heard daily from Desi rather than the one time it allegedly occurred.

Mrs. Trumball's ability to pay her rent would have been clear to all, she was the block's dealer and she lived in a building with "show people." Easy money for a lady in her 80s.

by Anonymousreply 12July 24, 2015 6:15 PM

That chocolate would not have even made it to the conveyor belt.

by Anonymousreply 13July 24, 2015 6:23 PM

Lucy would be married to a hep-cat like Louis Armstrong rather than a bongo player from Squaresville.

by Anonymousreply 14July 24, 2015 6:33 PM

An entire episode would consist of opening and closing the louvered shutters.

by Anonymousreply 15July 24, 2015 6:38 PM

R3 WW. Golf-clapping over here.

I love the commercials where they talk about the health benefits of smoking.

by Anonymousreply 17July 24, 2015 6:42 PM

Lucy in Hollywood would have been invited to parties at Robert Mitchum's house.

by Anonymousreply 18July 24, 2015 8:01 PM

Instead of Mame, Lucy would go on to fuck up the film version of Hair.

by Anonymousreply 24July 25, 2015 4:42 AM

by Anonymousreply 25July 25, 2015 5:14 AM

Someone would have broken Lucy's kneecaps when she mowed down Betty Ramsey's prize-winning "flower bed."

by Anonymousreply 26July 25, 2015 5:11 PM

Season 2 finale: Fred cleaning weed while discussing Upton Sinclair.

by Anonymousreply 27July 25, 2015 5:16 PM

Maybe Fred and Ethel wouldn’t have suffered premature hetero bed death.

by Anonymousreply 28March 17, 2021 5:01 PM

Now that you mention it they all seemed high at the time. And the plots reflected decision making that could easily be the result of impaired thinking.

by Anonymousreply 29March 17, 2021 5:05 PM

A chill, laid back Ricky would just let her be in his fucking show.
