Is he ever coming out? He's finally done after 150 years on GH. He's moved to Amsterdam full time (I presume it's Amsterdam). He's got plenty of "fuck you" money, he's as old as Methuselah and everyone in the entire world knows he's gay. What is he waiting for, a visitation from the ghost of Judy Garland?

Does anyone know, is he still with Ron Glass? I worked with both of them on different TV movies. Ron was extremely nice (can't be emphatic enough about this) but quite a flamer in private. Geary was a personality-free ass hat--he would be courteous but he made it clear it was work for him. Also a bit queenie when powers that be weren't around but not to the extent of Ron. But wondering if they are still together how Ron could stand him all of these years?

R6 Almost to the point of "sweet." Treated everyone with generosity and warmth and was very appreciative any time anyone told him they loved his work, etc. He was also quite sexy. He was definitely with Geary at the time and if he wasn't "open," exactly, well he wasn't exactly a closet case, either.

Geary was supposedly beloved by the cast of GH; at least they made a big deal of how sad they all were that he was leaving I think him leaving was a combination of hating the writing and poor health.

Or it may have just been that he's been playing the same fucking part for a hundred years and he'd rather retire and relax in Amsterdam.

Just a guess, I don't know the guy. Our soap queens probably know.

I was never all about him but I have a straight male friend who thought he was awesome. I never understood the awards. Other actors seemed deserving as well.

Tony Geary is 72 now. I never found him to be a great male beauty but I guess he got lucky, and they obviously liked his acting.

IIRC, Tony Geary became popular when curly hair was popular, as in Barbra Streisand's hair in the "A Star Is Born" era. TG's hair was curly like Barbra's.

He seemed to think his fame as Luke would get him a career outside of the soaps. He only got supporting or small character parts. Of course he came back. But he had the clout in daytime to get one of the best deals in soap history.

I beg to differ R35. He was in DL classic tv movie of the week: Intimate Agony ( about an herpes outbreak on a vaction island), also starring Judith Light and hot 80s Mark Harmon.

What ever happened to movies like "Intimate Agony," movies that addressed serious and personal issues of the time?

He was always playing strange young men. Retarded on Bright Promise, a rapist on Y&R and Quinn Martin had him as druggie/villains on lots of shows. He was meant to be a combo of all those on GH until someone saw the chemistry he had with Genie. He got hot when they did that Ice Princess story and showed off a nice chest. I swooned for him. He came to a hotel I was working at in the 80's for a GH appearance and we had to accommodate him like he was a diva. He was traveling with a male photographer who stayed with him in the same room. Pretty obvious he was his partner.
