Post your favorite looks. I love sport knits of the 1930's.

At least play tennis if you're going to rock the look, otherwise it's pretentious and makes you look like an asshole. It's like wearing clam diggers in Chelsea, WRONG!

R6 But you'll always look like you're running off to play tennis, if you do!

R8 Love that. So crisp looking.

R10 I like to imagine he only wore white sports knits.

Someone tried to buy me once with a tennis outfit from Burberry.
Bitch, please.

You don't accept Amex?

Coming of age among the "country club set", the tennis whites and golf look have always had an appeal for me. Seeing a nice looking guy with an athletic build wearing them... mmmmmm!

Even when she's prancing off to the Eagle at eleven PM?

*sigh*
I would love to see today's players in Becker's shorts.

I like the boating blazer, no socks and deck shoes.

What OP and his beard actually looked like during the 80s

R24 Hi sweetheart, I'm the OP and here's what i really looked like in the '80's:

R25, makes me think of the 1980's miniseries Brideshead Revisited.

R34 Me, too! Those wonderful clothes never go out of style. Good material, good cuts and a classic line travels well through time.

R14 What season?

What tennis has always needed is a slightly dim indiscreet blabbermouth on the tour. And I think we found one. John Isner!

r19 not only did Boris's shorts show off his gorgeous thighs, they revealed clearly the silhouette of his jock strap. How I longed to procure one of those sweaty treasures after a match of his. Short shorts also clung to Lendl's glorious tush -- one of the highlights of the men's tour in his day.

Is that Ben Barnes in the OP photo?

Now that black socks as sporting wear have made a comeback, how long before the youth of America re-discover saddle shoes?

R43 Street fashion has become so sloppy, now, that the next fresh thing is going to be that.
R42 More for you:

I want to comb Ben's hair.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | August 21, 2015 10:09 PM |
Even hotter is the look of cricket whites.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | August 22, 2015 1:02 AM |
I loved Ben's beautiful long hair.
It's too bad he has it shorter now for his new roles.
I still think he pings and have been wondering if he will come out one day.

I shamelessly worked the tennis whites on campus in the 80s. Got me laid.

R8 what a classic look.
