My friend died on December 6, 2012 out West. I went to her Connecticut memorial service where her Mom lived on 12/23. The next day I was at our traditional Christmas Eve lunch with my siblings, and I got a text message from my dead friend. It was just a heart. All the blood drained to my feet. I understand how people can pass out when shocked!

She died from a heart event. I think she was taking illicit Oxycodine to sleep, and probably mixing it with alcohol. I have no idea it if was an accident or on purpose. I doubt that she would know how to send a time delayed text message, but who knows. Today I believe that her friend who inherited her phone and who I do not know, sent it to me for some demented reason. We're not kids, she should know better. I do not believe a ghost was involved.

Seeing similar threads posted repeatedly on DL reminds me of trying to get laid on Craigslist, where the same 7 guys post every 5 minutes between glass pipe hits, making small changes to their posts in the sociopathic delusion that if three posts are good, then 11 must be amazing.

I took the bait, read one of the Facebook ghost communication stories. It sounds like someone was fucking with the poor guy.

After my best friend died, I really, really missed him, sent him emails on occasion. Unfortunately, he never responded. I'm open-minded about it, so I was hoping.

Not sure if DL can support bitching from beyond the grave. It's got more than enough to go around from the living.

I often return from the grave to post on DL, especially when my favorite snack is mentioned.

Many of us on DL have no pulse, but we are not technically dead.

I do believe ghosts can engage with us using technology and I find it absolutely fascinating as a topic but I don’t believe we have any Datalounge ghosts.

When I die, I hope to haunt Datalounge and ghost post. Maybe I am dead and have been ghost posting all along.
