Robert Mandan is 83. Katherine Helmond will be 86 this week. Robert Guillaume is 87. Cathryn Damon was only 56 when she died of cancer in 1987. Richard Mulligan was 67 when he died in 2000.

This seems to be a thread in which to share a Diana Canova anecdote! In his autobiography, Martin Short says that Diana was terrified of her "I'm a Big Girl Now" father Danny Thomas because he always had a loaded gun in his pocket even while filming! There were lots of scenes where her character hugs Thomas and she was frightened that the gun would go off. If the show had gotten a second season, she was going to demand extra "danger pay" because of Thomas and his gun.
