Here's the bitch singing The Man That Got Away. He looks like he'd be a ton of fun in bed. Who's had him?
The men of "Pitch Perfect" are indeed homely.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | June 30, 2015 1:08 PM |
I love his body type.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | June 30, 2015 1:16 PM |
I want him to sit on my face.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | June 30, 2015 1:22 PM |
Eww! Kill it with fire!
by Anonymous | reply 4 | June 30, 2015 1:25 PM |
Are there shirtless pics of him? I want to see his areolas.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | June 30, 2015 1:44 PM |
[quote] He really doesn't do the song justice. He should leave that one to Judy. She goes from distraught to panic, to full emotional breakdown, as she sings.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | June 30, 2015 2:28 PM |
Sorry, his double-chinned, doughy face is a real turn-off.
Also, he shouldn't sing that song because I'm in total sympathy with the man who got away from him.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | June 30, 2015 2:41 PM |
He's really cute.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | June 30, 2015 3:11 PM |
He is cute but he doesn't understand that song. It needs an adult to sing it.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | June 30, 2015 6:03 PM |
Fat.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | July 1, 2015 5:17 AM |
He's cute, but he's not everyone's cup of tea...
by Anonymous | reply 13 | December 26, 2015 4:11 AM |
Yeah, he doesn't understand the song. And why didn't he change the pronoun from man to woman who got away?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | December 26, 2015 4:17 AM |
Marc Platt's son, so no problemo "getting his foot in the door."
by Anonymous | reply 15 | November 6, 2016 9:01 PM |
He's brilliant in DEH. And he's got BDF.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | November 6, 2016 9:48 PM |
He is so my type too R2. I'd like to spoil him.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | June 12, 2017 7:09 AM |
His girlfriend is so ugly.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | June 12, 2017 8:07 AM |
The girl is actually Jonah Hill's younger sister, but she's not Platt's girlfriend. She's his best fag hag.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | June 12, 2017 8:14 AM |
How old is he? 5 years ago he played a college kid in Pitch Perfect and now 5 years later he's playing a high school kid? In another 5 years is he going to play a middle school kid?
by Anonymous | reply 23 | June 12, 2017 8:23 AM |
He's 23 almost 24 R23
Pretty much the normal age for someone to play a high school student.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | June 26, 2017 6:25 AM |
Rather execrable.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | June 26, 2017 7:17 AM |
How rich is his producer father? From what I've read, he was born with the proverbial silver spoon in his mouth. He probably used his father's connection to land roles on Brosdway.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | June 26, 2017 8:06 AM |
His father had his Oscar ripped out of his hands when "Moonlight" was announced. The guys who wrote the music for "La La Land" wrote "Dear Evan Hansen". You do the math.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | June 26, 2017 9:17 AM |
Boy that Feldstein girl is the poster child for fag hag! Ben and her brother. She sho' likes them fug doesn't she? Are there others? With the money she's got, she can afford plastic surgery and nothing but the best gays! Why slum GURL?
by Anonymous | reply 28 | June 26, 2017 9:27 AM |
I don't know....I can get past him singing a Judy Garland song. UGH

by Anonymous | reply 30 | June 26, 2017 9:46 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 31 | June 26, 2017 9:54 AM |
He really DOES need to leave that song alone.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | June 26, 2017 11:24 AM |
Not cute but definitely a gay face.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | June 26, 2017 11:32 AM |
Is he gay? I didn't think so but the halloween pic and Man That Got Away clip seems to prove otherwise.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | June 26, 2017 11:36 AM |
The double chin is not attractive. He needs to lose about 25 lbs. and he'd be a real looker.

by Anonymous | reply 36 | June 26, 2017 12:12 PM |
Like most reasonably attractive & higher Jewish guys he'll grow older and uglier. You can already see it here. The process has already begun. By 35 (if not sooner) he'll be bald and hideous.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | June 26, 2017 12:18 PM |
R30, past not passed...
by Anonymous | reply 38 | June 26, 2017 12:20 PM |
He pretty openly likes loads of gay stuff on IG. I would say glass closet status.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | June 26, 2017 12:22 PM |
He's got former fat face like Jonah Hill.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | June 26, 2017 1:24 PM |
First of all he's FAT . . . Secondly, he has no understanding of this song. It's a shame. Judy is fantastic but no one has ever come close that I know of.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | June 26, 2017 1:38 PM |
Most of the celebs (like Barbra Streisand, Morgan Freeman, Hugh Jackman, etc.) who have flocked backstage and sang high praises of Ben Platt's performace in DEH must have ben friends, colleagues, and one-time employees ,

R41 - listen to Tony Bennett's early 1960's version. A true masterpiece; it easily destroys Sinatra's vile "The Gal That Got Away"
by Anonymous | reply 45 | June 26, 2017 1:58 PM |
Why would he even need to be even glass closeted? He's a theater actor who's friends with lots of openly gay actors. Is he planning a Hollywood career?
by Anonymous | reply 46 | June 26, 2017 2:54 PM |
He kinda reminds me of Ted Besell.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | June 26, 2017 2:59 PM |
Sir,I knew Ted Besell, and Ben Platt is no Ted Besell
by Anonymous | reply 48 | June 26, 2017 3:25 PM |

No. They wrote the LYRICS for "La La Land."
by Anonymous | reply 49 | June 26, 2017 3:27 PM |
I love the click clack of silverware in the background. Yes no insight as to how to interpret the song, simply random emotions as he slip and slides across a range of notes.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | June 26, 2017 3:28 PM |
His father is a well known Hollywood producer, I'm sure this helped him get the part. It should open a lot of doors on Broadway and Hollywood.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | June 26, 2017 3:34 PM |
He lost a TON of weight doing DEAR EVAN HANSEN. His brother, Jonah, is hot as hell and took him to the gym. (He was a great Fiyero in WICKED) He is a cute otter who looks like he knows how to throw a good one.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | June 26, 2017 3:54 PM |
His brother Jonah must have landed the Fiyero role in Wicked becsuse his father is its producer. Some people are really born lucky.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | June 26, 2017 4:33 PM |
The Platt brothers never had to wait tables.
Do you know of any Broadway actor who had to struggle long before achieving success? Sarah Jessica Parker comes to mind but her success was mostly minted from TV and screen work.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | June 26, 2017 4:36 PM |
How could one brother look like that and one look like THAT?? Do they have the same parents?
by Anonymous | reply 56 | June 26, 2017 4:48 PM |
Wtf are you all talking about, just because he doesn't have a six pack doesn't mean he isn't fat. He's practically starving himself for this role. He is incredibly cute. Are you all this mean just because it's anonymous or are you just that superficial and shallow?
by Anonymous | reply 57 | June 26, 2017 6:37 PM |
I'd say the latter.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | June 26, 2017 6:53 PM |
Ben Platt is amazingly talented and sort of cute but....
by Anonymous | reply 59 | June 26, 2017 7:08 PM |
But his brother is hotter
by Anonymous | reply 60 | June 26, 2017 7:10 PM |
His brother is hot. But he looks like he just crawled out of a butter dish. That face looks like it's made of play-doh.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | June 26, 2017 7:15 PM |
R61 it's just "baby fat"
by Anonymous | reply 62 | June 26, 2017 7:48 PM |
I live outside NYC and will not have a chance to see Dear Evan Hunter in the foreseeable future. What is so demanding about the role? The staging doesn't seem to have much choreography or elaborate sets.
In a long interview by Paul Wontorek at Brodway.com, Platt said that he is pretty much a recluse after the show, hardly speaking and with minmal human contact in order to preserve his voice and wind down. He said that he has resorted bingeing on tv serials on Netflix to while a way his time.
I'm pretty sure countless Broadway performers have endured demanding and exhausting roles on Broadway performing 8 shows a week. I guess he is just not used to strenuous work due to his very privileged background.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | June 28, 2017 4:45 PM |
R63 He's probably binging on his favorite junk food too.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | June 28, 2017 4:53 PM |
He's a butterface, and that's being charitable.
by Anonymous | reply 65 | June 28, 2017 5:00 PM |
Alex Sharp in "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nightime" and Matthew James Thomas in the recent revival of "Pippin" had pretty demanding roles too but their performances did not garner the adoring press and celeb-love that Ben Platt got (because of his father's extensive Hollywood connections). Thomas, in the demanding physical role of Pippin, had to sing, dance, do acrobatics, and even get shot out of a cannon.
Sharp, in his acting debut, won Lead Actor in a Play (I think we was plucked straight out of Julliard to Broadway) while Thomas was nominated for Lead Actor in a Musical. In interviews, they were very appreciative of the opportunities they had gotten. These two are also better-looking than Platt. I hope to see them both back on stage, maybe on TV and screen too.

Ben Platt with family friend, Meryl Streep. His father, Marc Platt, produced Meryl's recent movie, "Ricky and the Flash".

Ben Platt with Zac Efron. Ben Platt's dad produced Efron's flop movie, "Charlie St. Cloud".

Ben Platt with Morgan Freeman. Ben's dad produced Freeman's "Wanted".
Freeman said that "Dear Evan Hunter" was the best musical he has ever seen and Platt's performance was one for the ages.

by Anonymous | reply 93 | July 4, 2017 4:46 AM |
I'm not commenting on his looks but Miss Thang is quoted today in Page Six about not being able to greet fans after the show so he can "self preserve" or some tired old diva rationale. For someone so young, this is quite a pretentious twat. Guess what, darlin? If ya can't greet the fans, the fans won't be there next time. Let's see Glenn Close, Sally Field and a host of much more revered (and older) talent can greet their fans but not you??

by Anonymous | reply 116 | July 14, 2017 3:34 AM |
The comments section at r109 is full of young women complaining that he's gay and trying to convince themselves that he is bi or "pan".
Which just reinforces one of my pet theses about women - that the female psyche as a whole, and women's sexuality in particular, are extremely susceptible to social cues. If society started glamorizing hot potatoes, women would be in droves shoving 'em up their twats.
by Anonymous | reply 117 | July 16, 2017 10:42 AM |
He's fugly, but it's awesome that we're now in a world where guys can casually say "he" in that context without either bearding/closeting or staging a handwringing I'm Coming Out extravaganza

It always matters if he's hung. Why does this need to be explained on a gay message board, r122?
by Anonymous | reply 139 | February 17, 2019 9:38 AM |
R139: Maybe because not everybody is that shallow.
I find absurd when people like Platt (or Lucas Hedges) are accused of nepotism, yes they have the connection but they have the talent too.
He received a lot of praise for Dear Evan Hansen and in my opinion he deserved it
by Anonymous | reply 140 | February 17, 2019 9:58 AM |
I didn't say he doesn't deserve acclaim for DEH, r140. I just hate queens like r122 who think bottoms don't need cocks, or to be hung, because they only exist to be fucked by some POS like r122.
I wasn't really talking about Ben Platt any longer.
