Is it time to refine LGBT?

We need to drop the "Drop the T" trolls.
Enough of the anti-trans bigotry on this site. This is the only gay site that appears to have allowed a very strong and vocal group of anti-trans bigots and psychos to take over.

Why are there two LG options.
I voted LG, anyway.
The clue , R1, is in the word 'GAY'. This is indeed a gay site and many of not most MTT are NOT gay, they were, and remain, straight males. They can fight their own battles, most of them are built like brick shithouses let's face facts.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | June 29, 2015 12:14 PM |
R1 This is far from the only gay site where people are fed up with trans issues, trans histrionics, and trans demonization of LGs.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | June 29, 2015 12:33 PM |
Amen, R1. I don't understand the level of vitriol. It's disheartening.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | June 29, 2015 12:35 PM |
Even the gays need people to look down upon, always a whipping person.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | June 29, 2015 12:38 PM |
You need to keep up with the facts if you think it's the trans who are whipping persons in this relationship.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | June 29, 2015 12:40 PM |
Since you don't understand it, R4, let me explain why some of us will [italic]never[/italic] accept the Ts:
1. They ruined ENDA.
2. the word "cis"
3. They killed ENDA.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | June 29, 2015 12:42 PM |
"Vitriol?" Oh, please. People are correctly commenting on the fact that the issues of transexuals have absolutely nothing to do with those of lesbians and gay men. Talking about "Lesbians, Gays, and Ventriloquists" or "Lesbians, Gays, and Trapeze Artists" or "Lesbians, Gays, and Squirrels Suffering from St. Vitus Dance and/or Rickets" make about as much sense as lumping transexuals in with us.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | June 29, 2015 12:44 PM |
They want it both ways. "were not gay, never have been gay, dont lump us in with your gay shit." "oh, its your fault straight guys wont sleep with us, its your fault for not supporting us".
by Anonymous | reply 9 | June 29, 2015 1:00 PM |
Not to mention
-- the last 10 years of death threats, violence and rapey rhetoric against lesbians
-- popularizing the new trend of turning gay boys into transgenders
-- telling gay men that we're transphobic if we won't sleep with deranged straight women who cut their tits off
A lot of people are sick of the T's.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | June 29, 2015 1:06 PM |
Nope, r3. This site is the only one of the gay sites I visit that openly allows Stormfront levels of anti-trans bigotry to flourish.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | June 30, 2015 2:24 AM |
This is BORING! Let's talk about COLTON HAYNES!
by Anonymous | reply 12 | June 30, 2015 2:28 AM |
R11, most Stormfronters almost certainly can't tell the difference between GL and BT. The divisions between gay and lesbian and bisexual and transgender are far deeper and more significant to each other than to those outside. Dismissing anti-trans sentiment as 'bigotry' ignores the political reasons that many here reject transgenderism.
Gays generally agreed to accommodate ourselves into society by claiming to be normal other than the same sex thing. This has been an effective political movement which has led to widespread acceptance of gay people. We don't like trans much both because they are too outrageous for the straights to accept and we see them as traitors for pretending to be heterosexual. The 'LGBT' movement has always been welded together and full of internal dislike.

A question, why G and not H for Homosexuality/Homosexual?
It should be LHBT.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | June 30, 2015 5:20 PM |
Oh, please, R11. It is the trans who are vitriolic about the gays. They refuse to accept that gay is what they really are. And you can suck a FTT's dick until you come to realize and accept this, and accept them for what they really are. We will not be holding our collective breath in the meantime, of course.
You really ought to post on translounge.com if you don't like it here.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | June 30, 2015 5:36 PM |
Why is "L" first? It should be the all-encompassing G first.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | July 1, 2015 8:55 AM |
I think we should just be H for homosexual.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | July 1, 2015 2:16 PM |
Embrace the H for homosexual.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | July 8, 2015 5:59 AM |
I'm just glad we dropped the Q.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | July 8, 2015 6:03 AM |
Add the P!
by Anonymous | reply 20 | July 8, 2015 6:48 AM |
What does P stand for?
by Anonymous | reply 21 | July 10, 2015 12:48 AM |
R1 Do you ever get tired of spamming the board with this? Why not go post on a trans message board?
by Anonymous | reply 22 | August 13, 2020 1:48 AM |
A trans-bashing thread on Datalounge.
Groundbreaking.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | August 13, 2020 1:50 AM |
This thread is an excellent example of Bi invisibility on DL.
Or more accurately, conscious Bi Erasure on DL.
Bisexuals remain an oppressed minority within a minority.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | August 13, 2020 1:57 AM |
How is that, R24? LGB has the highest number of votes.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | August 13, 2020 2:08 AM |
It should've stayed as GL. B does not need to be included as so many times they end up in opposite gender relationships which means no one will know they're attracted to the same gender. T shouldn't have been added as it has nothing to do with the gender you're attracted to. The rest of the letters are just stupid and also have no business being anywhere near. Homosexuals have gone through so much and been so loud to be able to get rights and everyone else is just tacking the letter onto the end so they can skip through.
