There's just something creepy about him but that also makes him much more attractive.
He's what you'd expect a European crimelord would look like.

Mikkelsen is a so-so Danish actor, much like his brother Lars. Never understood the attraction, but I guess for Yanks, he's rather exotic.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | June 9, 2015 3:38 PM |
Agree. Creepy-sexy.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | June 9, 2015 3:40 PM |
He is stunningly sexy.

There is absolutely nothing creepy about a guy who desires to.......

Fucking Delicious.

He's fabulous and can play anything or anybody. If you haven't seen The Hunt, do so. He won Best Actor at Cannes for it.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | June 14, 2015 8:56 PM |
He has terrible teeth and looks like his mouth smells. Next.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | June 14, 2015 11:00 PM |
Mads seems like a sensitive guy and i like those guys. He is with the same woman since 1987. In 2000 he married her. They have two children, together.
Here is a photo of Mads with his family.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | March 25, 2016 12:33 PM |
I saw 'A Royal Affair' with him and Alicia Vikander. I liked it. Now i'm looking forward to see 'The Hunt', R8.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | March 25, 2016 12:45 PM |
I have been hot for him for years he plays menacing very well but he can also play sentive guys. I love how different looking he is. He has a a great physical presence. Supposedly he was a ballet dancer before he was an actor.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | March 25, 2016 12:59 PM |
Not sexy at all. Looks cold and evil.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | March 25, 2016 1:16 PM |
It's you who is evil R13. Did you forget that?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | March 25, 2016 1:18 PM |
He is basically a character actor here but he is a big sex symbol in Denmark and a major star, he was very good in a movie called After the Wedding he played this really sweet good man, He is so interesting looking with a beautiful mouth and good at playing menacing but that is because he is a good actor, I have seen him in interviews and he is areally normal and nice guys.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | March 25, 2016 1:27 PM |
I just watched AFTER THE WEDDING and though the movie is kind of a soap-opera, it's good to see him in basically a good-guy role. He's also excellent in THE HUNT, which is very disturbing.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | March 25, 2016 1:43 PM |
He plays quasi-Putin in "House of Cards" and is amazing. Just the right touch of suave psycho creepy.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | March 25, 2016 2:07 PM |
Whoops! His brother, Lars Mikkelsen, plays Putin in "House of Cards".
by Anonymous | reply 18 | March 25, 2016 2:08 PM |
I find Mads hotter than his brother, but I would kick neither out of bed. My husband, however, would kick out Lars.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | March 25, 2016 2:10 PM |
I like Mads but am a big fan of Lars. Both are attractive but Lars edges it for me.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | March 25, 2016 2:13 PM |
For those who mentioned Lars, here is a photo of him with his bro Mads.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | March 25, 2016 2:16 PM |
I wouldn't kick him, or his brother, out of bed. Threesome!
by Anonymous | reply 23 | March 25, 2016 2:24 PM |
Love this guy. He was great in Hannibal.
The Hunt was a good movie, but one of those films that I'll only ever watch one time. It was disturbing and some parts really pissed me off and others (like with Mads in the church at Christmas) were so sad to watch.
He's the bad guy in the upcoming Doctor Strange movie. Im not much into superhero films, but I might see that one for him.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | March 25, 2016 3:30 PM |
Lars is much hotter. Love him in Cards and also Sherlock.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | March 25, 2016 3:30 PM |
Uncut sizemeat - stinky with cheese!
by Anonymous | reply 29 | March 25, 2016 3:53 PM |
Loved him in Valhalla Rising. He and Viggo Mortensen should make a movie together.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | March 25, 2016 4:23 PM |
It's too bad he's been typecast as the Eurocreepy Bad Guy. Hollywood does that to anyone with a European accent.
But Mads Mikkelsen is actually a warm, cool guy — I saw him interviewed at a retrospective at the Telluride Film Festival.
He did wonderfully as the sympathetic lead in a Danish drama called The Hunt. It was nominated for the Best Foreign Language Oscar and Mikkelsen fans should check it out.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | March 25, 2016 4:36 PM |
He is what I call ' ugly/sexy ' , like Adam Driver .

Mads Mikkelsen's Wife, Hanne:' It's me who won Mads'
Hanne: 'We were both dancers in 1987, i met him at an auditon. At this time i had a boyfriend and he had a girlfriend, but we fell in love. I looked at him and thought :That's the man in my life'. ' I met him when he was 20 and i 24, and i'm so proud of him. He's so generous and a fantastic actor. I have to say that i think he's the worlds best actor. He's the best daddy in the world and the best husband' 'Mads is away from home in periods. Then he's gone for 3 months, and then he's home for 4. But when he's home he really IS home. So i actually think that he's more at home with me and the kids than many other fathers who work 8am to 4pm every day'
Interviewer:How much do you talk about his job at home?'
Hanne: 'Not very much. At home we're just Hanne and Mads and Carl and Viola. But i'm still on the sideline when deciding what roles he'll take. It has to fit in with our family life.'
Interviewer: 'You quit your own career as choreographer 5 years ago. Why?'
Hanne: 'Well i looked at Mads after his success with rejseholdet (unit one) and i didn't want to be the sulky wife who told him to do the dishes when he came home tired. So i decided to relax a little, and it has been fantastic. I love to be at home, and i don't feel like i've been sacrificing my own career at all. I have had my time as a dancer, and it was a great time'.
Interviewer: 'There must be many benefits also, because you are with him for many of those exciting adventures. I've found a picture from the premiere of James bond in England where you got to meet queen Elisabeth. You were with him there?'
Hanne: 'Yes. We had to eat mints to prevent bad breath, we had to wash our hands and we were told not to talk to her. He should bow. I had to make a curtsy. We practiced at the hotel. I'm good at making curtsies, cause i used to be a dancer, and i really wanted to, but when we finally got to meet the queen i was placed right behind Mads, And they told me to look at the floor only. I never got to make a curtsy for the queen. I was really sad. '

r1 Yes, because God knows the Limeys wouldn't know beauty was even if it hit them in their (ugly) faces.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | April 1, 2016 10:56 AM |
He was indeed EXCELLENT in 'The Hunt'. Perhaps this and 'A Royal Affair' are his best movies.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | April 1, 2016 12:10 PM |
He's gorgeous. I've seen him in non-creepy roles, so just find him talented and lovely.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | April 1, 2016 12:30 PM |
R34 it's not just the European accent that gets him cast as a bad guy- its the flat looking shark eyes, the prominent cheekbones, the apparent lack of eyebrows, and the creepy mouth. Taken together it can create a sinister look. But an intriguing one, like in Casino Royale.
But other times he looks fine, almost like any other Scandinavian guy. Like in The Hunt
I don't doubt he's a cool guy in real life, ive never heard otherwise. I like him.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | April 1, 2016 5:55 PM |
Is there any gossip though? He gives me closeted vibes (his wife does too actually)
by Anonymous | reply 44 | April 5, 2016 4:53 AM |
I have loved me some Mads for years. "The Hunt" and "A Royal Affair", terrific films. I wanted a threesome with him and Daniel Craig after seeing "Casino Royale".
by Anonymous | reply 45 | April 5, 2016 5:20 AM |
He was great in Hannibal, loved the sexual tension between him and Hugh Dancy.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | April 5, 2016 5:22 AM |
Now that's some beautiful bone structure. He will still be handsome at 100 years old.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | April 5, 2016 5:26 AM |
Mads seems very straight to me. However, you never can tell for sure with people, let alone actors.
I don't know about his wife's sexual orientation. I guess if she was a lesbian, with Mads she became easily bisexual, at least.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | April 5, 2016 11:04 AM |
The only rumor was about him and Gillian Anderson, and that was a CDAN blind item. Though considering Anderson's rep, it's not outside of the realm of possibilities.
He and wife may have a "look the other way" arrangement. But he seems pretty straight.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | April 5, 2016 12:00 PM |
I liked him on Sherlock and preferred him to the dullard who portrays Moriarty.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | April 6, 2016 6:55 PM |
Mads has always reminded me of Brett Anderson from Suede. I get a similar vibe from both of them, probably because pf the fine bone structure and slinky sexy thing they have. Brett's teeth are better.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | April 6, 2016 8:14 PM |
For those who like Mads, they should see ADAM'S APPLES, if they haven't already.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | April 24, 2016 4:39 PM |
You can vote for the best season of Hannibal, if you like.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | November 6, 2016 10:32 AM |
There's a shot of him in close-up delivering a speech in Doctor Strange in which his eyes are so irritated by the sparkly makeup that's caked around them there are tears pouring down his face. It's fucking cruel. He should have filed a grievance with SAG.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | November 6, 2016 10:50 AM |
Two more Mads films worth a look:
Prague (2006)
Nu (22 minute short with hot Swedish actor Mikael Persbrandt and Erland Josephson)
by Anonymous | reply 58 | November 6, 2016 10:59 AM |
His brother Lars used to be way sexier than him, especially in "The Killing" series.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | November 6, 2016 11:30 AM |
Mads has a lot of gratuitous sex scenes and loves showing off his fat ass.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | November 6, 2016 1:02 PM |
Like where R60?
by Anonymous | reply 61 | November 6, 2016 1:13 PM |
Tks! Nice ass indeed.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | November 6, 2016 3:34 PM |
I'm annoyed that Mads' current works are two fantasy movies.('Doctor Strange', and 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story') He could have been more selective.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | November 8, 2016 12:31 PM |
Fug.
by Anonymous | reply 65 | November 8, 2016 12:38 PM |
Wut? Mads Mikkelsen is anything but fugly, R65.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | November 8, 2016 12:57 PM |
He's cashing in, and I sure don't blame him. Make as much on these juggernauts as he can, then do other projects more akin to his artistic sense.
But he sure can access the primal. "Valhalla Rising" is wild. He plays an animal that happens to look human, and he does it incredibly well. So well, in fact, and the film is so well done, that you feel what it was like to be in America before the White Invasion.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | November 8, 2016 12:57 PM |
Yes, i liked him too in 'Valhalla Rising', R67.
R65, look at this gif. Aren't you charmed?

by Anonymous | reply 72 | January 11, 2017 10:54 AM |
He is definitely charming.
by Anonymous | reply 73 | January 11, 2017 7:34 PM |
Yeah I noticed that too, r57. At first, I thought it was an actor choice but then decided it was the glitter.
by Anonymous | reply 74 | January 12, 2017 4:00 AM |
His first movie, Pusher, directed by Nicholas Winding Refn, is excellent also.
by Anonymous | reply 75 | January 12, 2017 4:11 AM |
Large swaths of northern Europeans and Russians with facial features like Mads and Putin seriously creep me out. I think they have more of the Neanderthal genes and are secretly very smart, but also very sadistic like Hitler. They'd kill you and then rape you, but not for sexual pleasure, just to defile your body. Ya know, that kind of thing. I personally think humans across all races have alien DNA too, but these people have more of it in their lineage.
by Anonymous | reply 76 | January 12, 2017 4:18 AM |
My trifecta is Mads, Viggo and Vincent Cassel
by Anonymous | reply 77 | January 12, 2017 4:39 AM |
There is nothing "laide" whatsoever about Viggo
by Anonymous | reply 78 | January 12, 2017 7:09 AM |
True R78 I stand corrected.
by Anonymous | reply 79 | January 17, 2017 4:50 PM |
Hot as hell. Magnificent in Hannibal. Can dance. Looks superb in a suit.
by Anonymous | reply 80 | January 17, 2017 5:46 PM |
Best performance in ROGUE ONE. I want a spin-off of he and his team creating the Death Star plans.
by Anonymous | reply 81 | January 17, 2017 5:49 PM |
R81. No one watched it but me, but last year there was a very good show on WGN network about the Manhattan Project and the behind-the-scenes dramas (real and fictionalized) that went on.
I want to see that same concept, but about Mikkelsen and the original Death Star builders. I'd watch the hell out of that.
by Anonymous | reply 82 | January 17, 2017 5:52 PM |
I wish his career would get more traction in the US. He seems like a nice family guy.
by Anonymous | reply 83 | May 13, 2018 9:06 PM |
No R83 - I'm the opposite.
He's clearly a satisfied happy Hubby-Dad. I also prefer him in most of his Euro roles and I love hearing him speak his own language too.
I recently binged his brother Lars in a meaty interesting three-dimensional tv series role : "Ride the Storm" where he is an alcoholic priest. It was fabulous and he, like Mads just gets hawter with age (that face structure they both blessed with!).
I want Mads similarly based in his homeland/ Scandanavia commissioned in a strong role, well-written, beautifully produced new Scandi TV series that will arc/run over a few seasons.
Don't care what genre, just make that happen pronto over a US-based role!...Although, I wouldn't mind him in a good US indie character role or playing against some actor of equal calibre (Shonaerts? Viggo?) in a bigger studio thing first!

He fucked Gillian Anderson and the actress who played Alanna. Unfortunately I've heard no rumors of a Hugh Dancy hook-up. Hugh might have been into it, he likes those daddy types.
