Madonna's Got Her Gold Granny Dentures In And Doing Interviews

She's wearing correctional boots too.

Why won't someone tell her how fucking stupid she looks? And those shoes are SOOOOO dated. Club kids were wearing those back in 1991.

by Anonymousreply 1March 9, 2015 11:56 PM

Is she ever going to get a new hairstyle, or at least hair color? The long, dried, wavy blonde looks awful on her now.

by Anonymousreply 2March 10, 2015 12:01 AM

She's such a dullard, all that name dropping and desperation. Especially funny when she gets defensive about producers.

by Anonymousreply 3March 10, 2015 12:10 AM

LET'S TALK ABOUT HER TEETH IN THIS THREAD!!!!!

Why is that???

We talk about her teeth because she seriously looks retarded with that grill in her mouth.

God she's pathetic.

by Anonymousreply 5March 10, 2015 12:31 AM

Her grill certainly looks stupid but her new music is fantastic and she is gonna kill it with her new tour.

Haters gon hate. Always. When others nancy on about her grill, or about her age, it just shows how defensive THEY are. Madonna don give a shit idiots.

by Anonymousreply 6March 10, 2015 12:41 AM

The new album will bring her HUGE tour revenue.

And, bitches, trust, the tours are about the NEW music.

Finally, while I love her, SHE DOES LOOK STUPID with the grill and the interview was one of her best in a while, too.

by Anonymousreply 7March 10, 2015 12:52 AM

Her interviews have been great, surprisingly.

Touring is where it is at and she is going to have a massive tour. She is supposedly hitting Asia and Australia, which I hear she has never been to. They are predicting biggest of all time attendance/revenue for her Asia and Australia dates.

Her new record is getting pretty much rave reviews.

Despite the grills, she looks fab.

by Anonymousreply 8March 10, 2015 12:57 AM

REVIEW BOTTOM LINE: Getting her artistic groove back.

Madonna is ahead of the curve once again with her new, ambitious "Rebel Heart" (Interscope) album.

She went a little too far with her 2003 album, "American Life," and then opted for the safer (well, safer for Madonna) world of dance music for a few albums.

With "Rebel Heart," she is innovative again, searching for ways to express her rebellious side and her softer, more heartfelt side. Madonna rarely gets credit for the strength of her melodies, but on this album, they are undeniable. From the gospel-influenced stomp of the single "Living for Love" to the reggae-tinged kiss-off "Unapologetic Bitch," the focus here is on creating a musical backdrop as memorable as the lyrics -- not through production, though Madonna has certainly assembled a who's who of collaborators here from Kanye West to Avicii and Diplo, but through melody.

"Joan of Arc," one of the best songs of her storied career, is an example of what musical magic occurs when all the pieces of a Madonna plan come together. Lyrically, it's a revelation, as she discusses the perils of fame and how all the negativity gets to her. "Never admit it, but it hurts," she sings, before adding, "Even hearts made out of steel can break down." In the end, though, love gives her strength and she remains quietly defiant.

Of course, Madonna can still be openly defiant, too. In "Holy Water," she uses West's aggressive synths and beats to gleefully blend sexual and religious imagery. The mix of joyful, classical-influenced EDM bits and trap-inspired hip-hop on "Bitch I'm Madonna" is a thrilling tension, even before Nicki Minaj shuts it down with a powerful verse.

Madonna breaks new ground with these combinations of hard and soft. On "HeartBreakCity," she takes what could have been a French torch song and toughens it up, adding a thunderous choir and massive-sounding production.

Despite her unexpected revelations on "Rebel Heart," Madonna is more artistically fearless now than ever, ready to forge new styles at a time in her career when most would be considering acoustic interpretations of her hits and decades-themed cover albums.

THE GRADE A

by Anonymousreply 9March 10, 2015 12:58 AM

R8

Madonna has toured both Asia and Australia before. She just hasn't toured them in a while.

by Anonymousreply 10March 10, 2015 1:25 AM

When has Madonna toured Asia, aside from Japan? That is all I can find. Yes I do see she toured Australia. On youtube now looking at show Australia vids...

by Anonymousreply 11March 10, 2015 1:27 AM

These reviews are bought and paid for. ESPECIALLY Entertainment fucking weekly.

by Anonymousreply 12March 10, 2015 1:28 AM

Is she talking funny because her lips or new face restrict movement? I get very uncomfortable when she equates herself to Keith Haring or Warhol. She is a pop star not an artist.

by Anonymousreply 13March 10, 2015 1:43 AM

Bought and paid for? I WISH Madonna would do that. She is too fucking cheap to buy publicity. She leaves that up to the lessers.

by Anonymousreply 14March 10, 2015 1:45 AM

She's still the same old cunt she's always been.

by Anonymousreply 15March 10, 2015 1:54 AM

Howard Stern will be interviewing Madonna on Wednesday.

Will be moving his entire show to 1-5pm Wed to do it.

by Anonymousreply 16March 10, 2015 2:00 AM

Robin hates Madonna and always has. Too bad the show has been totally neutered. I would have loved to see the Howard and Robin of old call Madonna out on her pretentious bullshit.

by Anonymousreply 17March 10, 2015 2:05 AM

I eat piles and piles of shit.

by Anonymousreply 18March 10, 2015 2:06 AM

[quote]Ageism is a cruel and formidable force in popland, but Madonna’s desire to live forever young isn’t exactly the problem, here. It’s the fact that she takes pains to sound so juvenile. The lyrics on “Rebel Heart” feel almost violently resistant to wisdom, as if espousing even the slightest air of sophistication might remind the planet that Madonna is now 56 years old.

by Anonymousreply 19March 10, 2015 2:10 AM

Big fan, saw all her tours, front row on Broadway, even went to the NY premieres of "Who's That Girl" and "Truth Or Dare". I have her whole catalog and have ZERO interest in this new album. Kanye? Bitch, please. Nikki Minaj? No thank you. She seems to only care about her daughter's generation.

by Anonymousreply 20March 10, 2015 2:14 AM

Madonna doesn't need anyone to buy her new record. She only makes them to go on tour and generate hundreds of millions. Selling records is for Taylor and Katy. Touring is where the real measure of success is at.

That being said, I will get her new release. Sounds damn great so far.

by Anonymousreply 21March 10, 2015 2:21 AM

Instead of wearing the gold grills, Madonna should wear a retainer. It would make her seem younger.

by Anonymousreply 22March 10, 2015 2:29 AM

Sure R20. You're about as convincing as the people that say they aren't fans.

by Anonymousreply 23March 10, 2015 2:34 AM

She seems so trapped in her face. Uncomfortable to watch.

by Anonymousreply 24March 10, 2015 2:37 AM

Why does she have to look so dummy? I don't get it.

by Anonymousreply 25March 10, 2015 2:43 AM

All Madonna cares about is $ and looking young. She has no artistic merit and could care less about making a lasting record. Thank God this will bomb and she will be on tour and hopefully get exhausted and unable to do more fake interviews. Kanye is the black male Madonna? That sums up her pea brain.

by Anonymousreply 26March 10, 2015 2:48 AM

I don't see anyone beating down Jane Jackson's door for an interview.

by Anonymousreply 27March 10, 2015 2:51 AM

Does Madoona really need that no-talent auto-tuned Kanye West to collaborate with?

by Anonymousreply 28March 10, 2015 2:55 AM

LOL, r22!

by Anonymousreply 29March 10, 2015 2:56 AM

When it bombs R26? And when it doesn't? Is your head the one that's going to explode?

Because the album has basically gotten very positive reviews, so even if it's not a financial success, it's still going to be considered a good album.

So then what?

Here's some advice. If you think she's awful and has no artistic merit and all she cares about is $$ and looking young... you really don't have to pay attention to her. No one is forcing you to listen to her music or read her interviews or look at her pictures or watch her videos... or come into threads and talk about her.

But something about her compels you, doesn't it?

And that's why she's still around after 30 fucking years.

by Anonymousreply 30March 10, 2015 2:59 AM

I adore her crazylady look in the video.

by Anonymousreply 31March 10, 2015 3:02 AM

"No one is forcing you to listen to her music or read her interviews or look at her pictures or watch her videos."

Actually, she's getting difficult to avoid.

by Anonymousreply 32March 10, 2015 3:02 AM

Her upcoming tour is a flop as well. In the past she used to play two or three dates in big cities, but on this tour the only city she has more than one date in is NYC. Also, in both the US and in Europe, she is playing nothing but arenas and no stadiums because she can't fill up stadiums anymore. On her last tour, she had to give away tickets for free because the stadiums were half empty.

by Anonymousreply 33March 10, 2015 3:03 AM

r32, too many threads on DL to resist? How else does she get in your face and make it so difficult to avoid her?

by Anonymousreply 34March 10, 2015 3:05 AM

What r30 said, Madonna is amazing!

by Anonymousreply 35March 10, 2015 3:06 AM

[quote]Her upcoming tour is a flop as well.

It hasn't gone on sale yet.

[quote]In the past she used to play two or three dates in big cities, but on this tour the only city she has more than one date in is NYC.

Those second and third dates are added after the initial one goes on sale. That's how it worked on the last tour, anyway.

[quote]Also, in both the US and in Europe, she is playing nothing but arenas and no stadiums because she can't fill up stadiums anymore.

There are very few artists who can regularly tour stadiums. An arena might be 15k capacity. A stadium can be up to 100K.

[quote]On her last tour, she had to give away tickets for free because the stadiums were half empty.

Link?

by Anonymousreply 36March 10, 2015 3:08 AM

[quote]Sure [R20]. You're about as convincing as the people that say they aren't fans.

What are you babbling about?

by Anonymousreply 37March 10, 2015 3:14 AM

Madonna's getting too hard to avoid?

Then wouldn't that mean that some of you would have to eat your words that she's irrelevant and has no fan base? Or are you just too simple to turn the channel, or not click on links to videos or threads?

And to the person claiming Madonna gave away tickets for free. HAHAHA. Madonna give anything away for free? No. Just not.

If Madonna had any problems selling tickets on her last tour (Which is BS as she her tour was one of the most financially successful), ticket prices would have dropped this tour. They didn't. They went up.

by Anonymousreply 38March 10, 2015 3:14 AM

[quote]It hasn't gone on sale yet.

In some cities tickets are on sale and you can find plenty of tickets in each level. It's a flop. I guess even her hardcore fans are done paying ridiculous prices to see a has-been.

by Anonymousreply 39March 10, 2015 3:14 AM

R39. Which cities still have plenty of tickets in each level?

And I'm assuming you know that because you actually took the time to check?

by Anonymousreply 40March 10, 2015 3:18 AM

[R39]. Which cities still have plenty of tickets in each level?

Quit expecting people to hold your hand for you to do your research. Go to Ticketmaster and you can look it up for yourself. The cities that already went on sale already have plenty of tickets still.

by Anonymousreply 41March 10, 2015 3:23 AM

uh huh R41. You're the one making the claim. You're the one who brought it up so why is it so difficult to just tell us?

Also what compelled you to go through tour dates of someone you don't like to check ticket availability?

by Anonymousreply 42March 10, 2015 3:26 AM

The usual Madonna haters are out with the tired putdowns like she just wants to be young (who doesn't dumbasses), she has not artistic merit (critics would disagree but who are they???), she is old ( and most of you queens with meth mouth look 80 so bugger off), and so funny she has all of you SEETHING once again by wearing her stupid grills (just to piss off you easily frazzled idiots). Madonna, still got it! Your fave WISHES!

by Anonymousreply 43March 10, 2015 3:31 AM

I admire R41. Dealing with Ticketmaster/LiveNations site is awful. Their captcha system is the worst and it's a pain in the ass to look for tickets. It's so fucking time consuming. I hate doing it when I actually am looking for tickets. But R41 apparently spent the time to go through several dates for someone they hate. That's commitment!

by Anonymousreply 44March 10, 2015 3:34 AM

Now these basic bitches are saying her tour is a flop?????? Bwhwhahahahahahahahahaha put the meth pipe down, sweety.

Of course, the area where Madonna is #1 with no competitors is the one area her haters are trying to bring her down.

Her tix haven't fully gone on sale. Just presale. She always starts with ONE date, then adds others. Most fans HATE stadium tours, prefer arenas. She'll end up playing 2 dates per city, more for some, and play stadiums in Asia and Australia because she doesn't EVER play more than 80-90 dates a tour. She is not playing a lot of hits so of course she is going to play arenas. As IF anyone else could play multiple arena dates with hardly ANY hits yet Madonna can. But when she plays the hits, you better believe that bitch will play stadiums all over, and add multiple dates for each stadium. You know it. I know it. Everyone knows it.

by Anonymousreply 45March 10, 2015 3:39 AM

I love how she shounds witsh them in!

by Anonymousreply 46March 10, 2015 3:40 AM

Well to be fair R43, any positive reviews she obviously paid for! And really any album she sells, she probably just bought herself. And she's putting on concerts and of course just giving tickets away.

Some of these people don't even realize how ridiculous they sound.

And you know what? If she doesn't have a #1 album or a #1 single or a #1 tour? Big deal. She's had a career that has spanned 30 years. How many other people are still #1 after 30 years?

And even if she only sells 1,000 records... (she's already sold 300 million over her career) that's 1,000 more than these bitches will ever sell. And that's probably what really bugs the fuck out of them. This average, next to no talent, awful, miserable, old, old, old, cunt, has managed to do more at the tail end of her career, which has been a "flop," than they've done in their entire lifetimes.

by Anonymousreply 47March 10, 2015 3:40 AM

[quote]Ageism is a cruel and formidable force in popland, but Madonna’s desire to live forever young isn’t exactly the problem, here. It’s the fact that she takes pains to sound so juvenile. The lyrics on “Rebel Heart” feel almost violently resistant to wisdom, as if espousing even the slightest air of sophistication might remind the planet that Madonna is now 56 years old.

Just realized something reading this quote. Singing pop music is for the young. It is a youthful directed style of music. Pop is carefree and party in the usa and all that, so a pop star can't age well. You can't sing that as you grow older and are pumping your face full of fillers, I doesn't work.

Rock artists can go forever because rock is the music of rebellion. Fuck you. Fuck you if you think I'm too young. Fuck you if you think I'm too old, too loud, too ----. And that was sexy.

Madonna is the material girl. She wasn't punk or even new wave. She was mainstream and she used vulgarity to sell herself and her music. It just doesn't age well and that's no one's fault.

And desperation is not sexy.

by Anonymousreply 48March 10, 2015 3:45 AM

The shock continues: a leak of a demo of her collab with Toronto mean street poet Drake is a track called "Shit Sandwich". Here's some sample lyrics:

"Smells so good, so fresh and spicy, so hot/

You want my love, let me show you what I got/

What's cookin' - shit sandwich.

Make you eat it - shit sandwich.

Before you get my luvin' from me

Yeah. Before you get my luvin' from me"

by Anonymousreply 49March 10, 2015 3:45 AM

The first time I saw her on tour was MDNA and there was the whole range of ages there, from 15 through 60. Contrary to popular belief here on Datalounge, Madonna's fan base is younger than she is - I would say the core now is in their 30s and 40s.

Anyway, the arena (not in a major market) was full, full, full. The only seats not full were behind the main screen, which I believe were still $100+. It was fucking expensive, but worth it.

I didn't really care for MDNA, but have liked what I've heard of the new album so far. She probably won't sell many records but will make a fortune off the tour, as per usual.

by Anonymousreply 50March 10, 2015 3:46 AM

[quote]Actually, she's getting difficult to avoid.

She's become a Kardashian.

by Anonymousreply 51March 10, 2015 3:47 AM

Apparently R49 is still finding it too hard to avoid Madonna. She just keeps forcing him to talk about her.

by Anonymousreply 52March 10, 2015 3:49 AM

At the end of the day, many are angry that what they perceive as marginally talented is the most successful.

Besides the fact Madonna is very talented and gifted, so what if she wasn't? You think Taylor, Katy, Rihanna, Diana R, Lardy Gutga, Beyoncé, Kylie, or any other number of pop princesses are the best singers, song-writers, performers????? The answer is hell no. There are hundreds of thousands better than them on any given day. Get over it. None of the singers or actors who make it big are the best, not even Meryl Streptacocous.

No matter what you think of Madonna's talent, which I think is immense, she is the most successful, BY FAR, and that isn't ever going to change. Ever. Her legacy is cemented and all the other pop princesses know it and accept it. They are all vying for 2nd place. Good luck cuz none of them is the best at anything. If they get to 2nd place, it is on star power with a dash of talent. Like everyone else...

by Anonymousreply 53March 10, 2015 3:50 AM

[48] Hey, 1985 called and wants their talking points back.

Bwhahahahahah you ageist fuck! You're probably an aging, bitter queen who WISHES they could be accepted and young with good teeth. Well, you ain't Madonna and she can sing whatever the fuck she wants without your 1985 recycled bullshit. Mmkay?

by Anonymousreply 54March 10, 2015 3:53 AM

"Low carb, no lies/

Last one to finish, dies/

Shit sandwich. Yeah, shit sandwich."

by Anonymousreply 55March 10, 2015 3:53 AM

[quote]many are angry that what they perceive as marginally talented is the most successful.

It's not a perception, she is marginally talented. It's not an unusual happening in America that marginally talented or stupid are wealthy or successful.

by Anonymousreply 56March 10, 2015 3:54 AM

RE: Ticket sales.

Nearly every artist has jacked their concert ticket prices to stupid levels. Fans (of everyone) are refusing to pay.

Exhibit A: Led Zeppelin 1977 U.S. Tour (they didn't get any bigger). Most expensive ticket was $9.75 at Madison Square Garden.

Using the the official government inflation calculator that should be $37.60 today.

Madonna's most expensive ticket at the same venue today: $684? Even more for VIP. Cheapest is $145

At $40, bands would sell out anything. At $600+? No so much.

I'm sure they've all crunched all the numbers to maximize revenue with minimal dates, but plenty of fans refuse to pay so much.

by Anonymousreply 57March 10, 2015 3:55 AM

R55 Shit sandwhich sounds straight off of Gaga's next CD. Scratch that, you might be right. Since that bitch steals everything from Madonna, Shit Sandwhich might be a Madonna/Drake original, though now reductive, version. Nevermind. Carry on

by Anonymousreply 58March 10, 2015 3:57 AM

R56 Keep telling yourself that deary...because it seems you are trying to convince yourself (though lets me honest, not very successfully)...snicker

by Anonymousreply 59March 10, 2015 3:59 AM

I honestly don't get it, bitter queens. I watched the interview- she looks great, she sounds perfectly intelligent and sincere. I've never been a huge fan but respect her trajectory. I'm continuously baffled that adult gay men would spend their time being bitchy towards her. It's just SO small-minded and petty. It's not even a little funny.

by Anonymousreply 60March 10, 2015 4:04 AM

The best thing about Madonna is she makes her own shit happen.

There is no "producer" or record company telling her what to do.

It's all her.

100%

You have to respect that, even if you don't like her music.

by Anonymousreply 61March 10, 2015 4:10 AM

Vadge's PR people have arrived I see.

by Anonymousreply 62March 10, 2015 4:12 AM

That's true 61 and she paid out of her own pocket to have all those guests artists and producers on her album, paid A LOT for them too.

by Anonymousreply 63March 10, 2015 4:15 AM

R60 Gay men have become fangirls of certain female singers. Being fangirls, they look to take down anyone who is at the top. In comes Madonna. For their fave to be considered the Queen of Pop (other than them repeating it over and over and over to themselves or the wall), it isn't going to happen unless Madonna is...removed. Problem is, that isn't likely to happen anytime soon. And more importantly, even were she to retire tomorrow, she will be forever the most successful.

Since all these blogs popped up, gay men have devolved into the worst of their behaviors and it isn't pretty. Most of them are ugly and fear aging, so they make fun of someone who is older but looking good. A standard they have already failed at. So it makes them feel good to laugh at, or mock, her. The younger gays so desperately want to relive the Madonna experience, that phenomenon who takes the world by storm like Elvis, the Beatles, MJ and Madonna. Only problem is Madonna is still going strong to their dismay because as long as she is around, their faves can't get out of her shadow therefore they can't experience that phenomenon yet. Or something like that. They are seriously a terrible generation of gays. Their elders would be horrified at their behavior which is misogynistic and ageist to the max.

by Anonymousreply 64March 10, 2015 4:16 AM

R62

Hahahaha!!! Oh SNAP!! That was so funny and clever!!!!

by Anonymousreply 65March 10, 2015 4:17 AM

eh R64. It's not the younger gays who are hating on Madonna. Most, probably don't give a shit about her and if they don't, certainly don't bother talking about her.

The people bitching about her are probably around her age and horrified at how their own lives turned out.

by Anonymousreply 66March 10, 2015 4:19 AM

Flop singles that don't even enter the charts

Flop album

Flop tour playing little arenas with plenty of tickets available

They don't call her Flopdonna for nothing!

by Anonymousreply 67March 10, 2015 4:22 AM

R66 Oh the younger gays love her...well the ones who aren't angry at life and who lived as victims. Madonna's music and her personality are not for victims. She repels people who are weak and portray themselves as victims. For that alone, she gets tons of hate.

Sadly, the older gays who hate on her are envious and angry that she is still hot and viable while they have been cast out like some 31 year old HW starlet, past their prime. Madonna reminds them of their own failures in life and it angers them.

Can you tell anger is a common emotion from these people? Happy people don't feel the need to bash, trash, mock or laugh at others...ever. EVER. Think about it...

by Anonymousreply 68March 10, 2015 4:25 AM

lol why does her voice sound so dry and her accent sounds different every interview.

Her outfit is horrible and so is that tired ass hair.

She thinks that by teaming up with hip hop acts she'll be popular again? She's delusional as hell.

She never was an "artist".

by Anonymousreply 69March 10, 2015 4:26 AM

Since when is Madison Square Garden a "little arena"?

by Anonymousreply 70March 10, 2015 4:26 AM

R67 They? Who, you and your equally ugly personalities? Snicker. MMMMMHMMMMMM gurl, tell it, queeeen...snicker

by Anonymousreply 71March 10, 2015 4:27 AM

R69 You sound like a hideously ugly person, inside and out. 2015 is gonna suck for you as you see Madonna have success after success. Just like when MDNA was a "flop" yet was the 10th best selling CD of the year Worldwide. Don't cry for Madonna. She'll do just fine without you worrying your little ugly head over it.

by Anonymousreply 72March 10, 2015 4:31 AM

R64, I always got the impression it was the older gays on this board who spewed the most venom about Madge. They grew up in a time where they were expected to suppress their sexuality or risk being seen as a second class citizen.

Then along comes Madge being hugely successful while shoving her tits and pussy everywhere, something that women - second rate citizens - aren't supposed to do, and I think the older gays get jealous because they could never be that open and free.

That was always my take anyway.

by Anonymousreply 73March 10, 2015 4:31 AM

R73 You have a point. She gave them the platform, most were too ashamed to open their lives up and live openly and freely like she did. And she took serious shit for it. She was reviled for about 2 years. REVILED. Yet, she kept her head up and came back stronger than ever. Most of these gay men who hate her are closet cases who have zero of her strength so it makes them feel good to bash her. They never had an ounce of her courage and apparently, never will.

by Anonymousreply 74March 10, 2015 4:35 AM

She is hard to avoid because she is in the media everyday. It's either the near execution, sorry I botched that, or various interviews, but there will be more hijinks to come.

by Anonymousreply 75March 10, 2015 4:37 AM

Yes, if you hate MADONNA, it's because of your OWN pitiful, repulsive little failed existence.

You're not worthy of HER MADJESTY, earthlings!

by Anonymousreply 76March 10, 2015 4:39 AM

I have ragged on all the Madonna threads of the past month, but I will gladly admit that she came across very well in this interview. If she had nixed the grill, I would have given her an A+. She really does have almost a borderline speech impediment with them in which does nothing for her. Rock on Madge, rock on.

by Anonymousreply 77March 10, 2015 4:40 AM

Asked my 22 year old nephew if he would go to a Madonna concert. He laughed.

by Anonymousreply 78March 10, 2015 4:41 AM

R75 And this makes you angry, why? Oh because youre just a bitter old idiot who has nothing better to do than bash someone who put her career on the line to make your world a better place. Turn that anger at yourself where it belongs since you didn't make it in life (you spend hours commented on a thread of a woman you hate). You are a lowlife who wishes they had Madonna's looks, strength and talent.

by Anonymousreply 79March 10, 2015 4:41 AM

R76 Hit the nail on the head? Hit too close to home? Yet, you know it and everyone else does.

by Anonymousreply 80March 10, 2015 4:43 AM

R78 Who gives a flying FUCK what your 22 year old nephew thinks. It is probably has ugly as you and as angry, too. My 14 year old niece, IS going to see Madonna with her 14 year old best friend. WHO CARES! Only the Madonna haters who DESPERATELY want to prove no one under 200 likes her. Idiots!

by Anonymousreply 81March 10, 2015 4:45 AM

Speaking for myself, I don't get her anymore because the music is shit and it has been for decades. She is willing to haul her tired ass to the Grammy's, but not because of increased sales or interest. And she looks like a deformed Bratz doll. Meh. She's in her 60's and gross.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at the Vadge stans that are losing their sanity over people not liking their cunt idol (who wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire). Laugh it off, and move on. You knew damn well from OP's title that it wasn't going to be a thread you'd like, so why torment yourself by clicking on the thread? This is not a fan board and people can talk about the old cunt however they want.

by Anonymousreply 83March 10, 2015 4:50 AM

Troll-dar r81 and page back. Good lord!

by Anonymousreply 84March 10, 2015 9:09 AM

ANYWAYS, guys ... has anyone actually commented on what a great interview that was? The interviewer was great, and he and Madonna actually touched upon some really interesting subjects - the decline or absolute absence of the art/pop scene, especially in New York; and the decline of art and creativity in the music industry. No one goes into a studio anymore and creates music together. Everythig is fragmented, pieced together, recorded in about a hunfdred different ways, emailed, sometimes lost ... no wonder music has lost its soul.

by Anonymousreply 87March 10, 2015 5:50 PM

Even though her teeth and shoes are stupid it was a good interview. It made me realize people hardly ask her about her music which this guy did.

by Anonymousreply 88March 10, 2015 5:56 PM

She's a club music artist, a club music legend in truth. The shoes are fine, dressing like a club kid is appropriate for her. She's an entertainer, not Madge from down the street. And yes I enjoyed the interview. She's highly accomplished in her field, and it's always interesting to hear an seasoned expert talk about what they do.

by Anonymousreply 89March 10, 2015 7:30 PM

Her kind of bondagey/goth clothing looks sill in a sit down interview - the corset, in particular.

by Anonymousreply 90March 10, 2015 7:37 PM

They only ask her about other artists. They don't give a shit about her and it obviously irritates her.

[quote]ANYWAYS, guys

Oh, dear.

by Anonymousreply 91March 10, 2015 8:14 PM

They're her Grillz OP and she's only wearing them because she LOVES pissing hateful and ageist people like you off!

Also, I've noticed in a lot of interviews that she's done lately that she's PURPOSELY making fun of herself and even parodying herself

I mean she's doing Howard Stern tomorrow, she would of NEVER done that just 5 years ago

I love this self parodying phase of her career!

By the way Beyonce used to wear Grillz like crazy as well

by Anonymousreply 92March 10, 2015 8:53 PM

Grills look stupid on anybody, but especially on 56 year old women who are trying desperately to hold on to their youth.

Madonna is pitiful.

by Anonymousreply 93March 10, 2015 9:14 PM

R93 I agree thay they loook stupid

But what does her age have to do with it?

You are being ageist by saying that Madonna cant do certain tbings just because of her age

Its just as bad as saying people cant do certain things, just based on their race

You are the one that is pitiful

by Anonymousreply 94March 10, 2015 9:28 PM

If it hasn't been mentioned, she's on Howard Stern tomorrow.

by Anonymousreply 95March 10, 2015 10:10 PM

Does Stern have a history of commenting on her? I usually don't enjoy him interviewing women.

by Anonymousreply 96March 10, 2015 10:12 PM

she's

a dirty

hoor

by Anonymousreply 97March 10, 2015 10:13 PM

She's a cute hoor.

by Anonymousreply 98March 10, 2015 10:16 PM

Her tour is projected to do $300-$400 million with less than 90 shows. Depending on how extensive she tours Asia and Australia, her tour will earn far more. This with mostly new material and after touring like mad over the last 15 years with high ticket prices.

Her CD is amazing. I am shocked at how good it is given music is in a slump right now.

by Anonymousreply 99March 10, 2015 10:19 PM

Is she giving some places from her last tour a miss? Did she do well in Ireland?

by Anonymousreply 100March 10, 2015 10:21 PM

That interviewer was cute. What's his story?

by Anonymousreply 101March 10, 2015 10:24 PM

I really don't like Rebel Heart. It's the production - exactly like all other pop music today. Same processed vocals, same beats. etc.

It's no worse than the majority of anything else out there, but it's just so generic.

I know there has ALWAYS been studio trickery in music. But, I simply hate the current (well, for the last decade) echo/processed/robotic/too clean vocal form of trickery.

It's just not my thing. If you don't mind that, then look further into the album.

by Anonymousreply 102March 10, 2015 10:29 PM

I'm in my twenties but I hate that music of the last decade/15 years tends to have so little dynamics. Everything is LOUDDDDDDD. I know I sound like Methuselah but a good mix seems to be a thing of the past - all the elements shoot at your ears and become a mush of sound.

by Anonymousreply 103March 10, 2015 10:34 PM

I thought the final, album mix of Joan of Ark ruined what was a very good demo. They buried the vocal and put dumb sounds up front. It's too MUCH production.

by Anonymousreply 104March 10, 2015 10:37 PM

R104 Those demos leaking really affected how I processed the final versions. It is why I stopped listening to the demos after the first round of leaks. It is a no win situation. Even if I hated the demo, it affects how I feel for the song. Now, listening to demos AFTER I've heard the final version doesn't ruin it for me.

I will say, after a few listens, some of the final versions are growing on me. This release has more not radio friendly songs than I thought it would.

by Anonymousreply 105March 10, 2015 10:48 PM

R104 I really like Joan of Arc. I prefer the album version though over the demo.

by Anonymousreply 106March 11, 2015 1:12 AM

Tee hee!

by Anonymousreply 107March 11, 2015 3:55 AM

[quote]Her tour is projected to do $300-$400 million with less than 90 shows.

No, it's not. It's not even selling and there aren't 90 dates.

by Anonymousreply 108March 11, 2015 4:53 AM

[quote]You are being ageist by saying that Madonna cant do certain tbings just because of her age

So what? She's old.

by Anonymousreply 109March 11, 2015 4:54 AM

R103 is right--"music of the last decade/15 years tends to have so little dynamics"

by Anonymousreply 110March 11, 2015 2:00 PM

R109 apparently hopes to drop dead before 40.

by Anonymousreply 111March 11, 2015 2:02 PM

Howard Stern interviews her at 1:00 today.

by Anonymousreply 112March 11, 2015 4:53 PM

Phony meets phony, R112. Big deal

by Anonymousreply 113March 11, 2015 4:56 PM

This is just sad.
