I've heard rumors for Ian and JR. Heard something about Ian being more public about it before Teen Wolf, then he closeted all of that up before he became more popular. And I thought I heard someone on a Stargate forum back in the day say they heard JR's sister say her brother was gay. Don't know if either rumor is true, couldn't find any real evidence of anything. But they seem to talk about dating women too, so maybe bisexual. I've wondered if they were ever into each other, I sometimes got that vibe when they were together.

Other than them - we already know about Colton. I thought it was Max that was gay though, not Charlie, with Holland taking her role as permanent beard as she does for all her friends. JR is defiantly gay. I worked in the arts scene in Vancouver during the late 90s and early 2000s and I remember seeing him out at numerous gay events.

Tyler Hoechlin has been the likely subject of several gay blind items. Given his gayface, I'm inclined to think they're true. One blind was actually about two guys on the same show. It was rumored to be about Hoechlin and O'Brien, but O'Brien doesn't ping much for me. I'm guessing it was probably about Hoechlin and Haynes.

About JR - is he gay or bi? Could be either and still attend those events you saw him at. There was an article back in Stargate days I read where he mentions he and his wife whenever he gets married will both be tested to know the chances of their kids having cystic fibrosis. I also thought I heard he was married at some point, but isn't anymore.

What blind was rumored to be about Hoechlin and DOB? I think Hoechlin is possibly bi, I don't think he's 100% gay. But DOB doesn't ping for me either. I see him as the kind of guy who would play gay chicken as a joke but stop it the moment it goes too far cause he's only into girls.

I always assumed Dylan OB was gay/bi after I saw a clip of Tyler P recoiling from him when he tried to touch Tyler's nipple in a dreamy way. Conversely, Harry Styles is allowed to touch his band mates' bums without them batting an eyelid, which proves he's straight, at least as far as they're aware. I think Posey and Dylan both do the "gay chicken" thing. Some still think she was forced to leave and that working with Daniel must've been too awkward for her. But they did seem to get along well after the breakup. I believe, in the long run, the show pandering to the Sterek shipping was a mistake.It became an embarassing distraction and it was sad to watch all these fans waiting and being obsessed about Sterek to happen on the show. But, of course, at the beginning the show needed some momentum for the fans to get crazy about the show and the show went for it and it opened a can of worms.

Sterek shippers did everything but pay attention to what was actually happening on the show. They brought it on themselves.

Yeah, Jeff Davis is to blame by pandering and teasing the Sterek shippers who then turned on the show when they figured they've been had. It was obvious that he pandered to them, because he needed the fan numbers (especially in the early years) but the shippers didn't get that.

I imagine the trouble with Teen Wolf in general seems that Jeff Davis tried to be more of a "cool Dad" (trying his best to be pals with the cast and crew) than a showrunner who keeps everybody in line. The show itself deserved so much more than that shallow surface teen drivel nonsense.

R116 I think it would have. I missed Colton when he was gone. He was easily the best part of the show for me, adorable little villain wannabe, trying so hard at it and failing. Scott and Stiles had me hooked a while longer, they were so good together, but I never warmed to any of the new characters. Tyler and Colton had some delightful PDA, and their characters were ridiculously compatible, especially in the sense of typical slash tropes, with one obviously marked as dominant and the other as submissive by canon. It should have spawned way more interest than it did.

People went out of their way to romanticise him and yes, while I get the appeal of twisted ships, Sterek would have been violent and abusive to the extreme and the characters didn't even like each other. I just don't understand how anyone could have thought it could become canon, but then again, the show's been shit about character consistency (just look what they did to Lydia). Also, while Stiles has obviously been teased as bi, Derek was marked as nothing but straight in the show.

Froy and Andrew where also all over the Teen Wolf goodbye party. That was also the time when Teen Wolf was filming in Atlanta. I think they had a pretty good casting agent for those 2 seasons (of course you also had Keahu who only got the job because of Jeff) and they actually managed to cast some decent actors in that time. But that changed when they moved to LA for season 3 onwards. And I bet that Jeff was much more involved in casting in LA.

Ryan Kelley confimed that he had auditioned for other roles in s1-2 several times but hadn't gotten the job. But as we know he suddenly got a role specifically written for him as soon as they had moved to LA because he was friends with Jeff. It's pretty obvious something happend between Davis and Hoechlin, because around the second season the show didn't know what to do with Derek and that usually happens when either someone from the actor's side (the actor himself or his team) objected to a story or character development and the showrunner and writers don't have anything else prepared for said character or David kept Derek on for longer than he was supposed to (due to being popular).

Stiles never came off as gay. It was all about his neediness for approval. Once he grew out of it (character development) that was that.

There are a fair number of actors from Teen Wolf who are still in the closet. Even JR Borne has never officially come out, not to mention later additions like Froy.

Though Jeff puts too much blame on the actors. As Colton and Garrett both talked about, they got very heavy pressure from their own management not to come out. It isn't like it was just them being scared.

Unfortunately, in the industry, if you want to be A-list or even B-list you need to stay in the closet.

A list yes, B list no. If you are a really good actor who gets critics recognition you get jobs. Of course you need to have acting chops, if your strength is your looks then coming out could make your life more difficult

If your main ambition is to be in blockbusters and be paid millions, then yes.

And of course it's very different on tv. If you look at emmys nominations is easy to find blacks, asians, latinos and openly gay actors. Film industry is a different story

The worst thing is in a lot of cases is gay people in power positions the ones who prevent actors from coming out and to make difficult for the ones out of the closet.

Noone on TW was A list (or B list) so it's quite obvious any of them are not the MTV closeted star (no matter how many gay, closeted or not, actors were on TW)
