Top 10 Colleges with the Hottest Guys

CM’s Top 10 Colleges with the Hottest Guys

By Laura Durkalec | January 7, 2015 0 Comments

There’s a lot of criteria to look over when choosing the right college for you: the hot guy ratio on campus, the hot guy ratio on campus and the hot guy ratio on campus. Okay, so realistically this has nothing to do with getting your college degree. Parents say there are more important things to worry about than that super smart AND attractive guy in your chemistry lab, but whoever said it was bad to have a little eye candy to look at every once in while?

College Magazine has researched a whole new list of schools with high 4-year gradation rates, endless varsity and intramural sports, popular Greek life, top-notch gym facilities and awesome weather. This list of schools is filled with guys who will undoubtedly distract you from your books.

1. Pomona College

2. Washington and Lee University

3. Swarthmore College

4. University of Arizona

5. Ohio State University

6. University of Notre Dame

7. Vanderbilt University

8. Rice University

9. Gonzaga University

10. University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill

Pomona College? Seriously?

My ex-boyfriend went to UNC, and my current boyfriend is a damn sight better looking than him.

by Anonymousreply 2February 2, 2015 5:53 PM

An incredibly middle-class, white, suburban list compiled by a sheltered, middle-class, white suburban dilitante girl.

It doesn't even reflect a broad perspective on middle-class, white suburban standards of hot guys.

Looks fade - stupidity is forever, as the saying goes. Her target audience would be better served by picking one of the Boston schools (Babson, Brandeis, BC, Northeastern, Tufts) and getting the best of both worlds by having hot, stupid guys to date and trying to land a hot-enough, better future guy from Harvard, MIT or other school.

by Anonymousreply 3February 2, 2015 5:54 PM

Washington & Lee that I can believe. Great school, great campus. I'm partial to it anyway.

by Anonymousreply 4February 2, 2015 6:04 PM

Leave it to KKKelt to love a school that was named after General Robert E. Lee.

by Anonymousreply 5February 2, 2015 6:06 PM

Yes, Pomona College is hot. So are Gonzaga and Swarthmore.

by Anonymousreply 6February 2, 2015 6:07 PM

Pomona, Rice, and Swarthmore are populated by geeky overachievers. Only Swat has Greek life, and even then it's very small.

by Anonymousreply 7February 2, 2015 6:10 PM

[quote]R2

Lee was something wasn't he ? (And) don't forget that his wife was the daughter of George Washington' step-grandson.

by Anonymousreply 8February 2, 2015 6:11 PM

If you haven't been to St. Olaf, you haven't seen hot. I swear they must select them for that reason. Of course I only visited once and that was a few years ago. Nearby Carleton? Not nearly as hot (but better academics).

by Anonymousreply 9February 2, 2015 6:12 PM

Middlebury College.

by Anonymousreply 10February 2, 2015 6:15 PM

That's the funny thing about Vermont: some of the men are quite good looking, the women good God no.

by Anonymousreply 11February 2, 2015 6:19 PM

Did KKKelt even go to college? Does he even have a GED?

by Anonymousreply 12February 2, 2015 6:22 PM

Rice? Yeaaaah, no. Too many unattractive geeks. The list seems a mess, and possibly a work of sarcasm.

by Anonymousreply 13February 2, 2015 6:23 PM

No, I'm a functional illiterate.

by Anonymousreply 14February 2, 2015 6:24 PM

None of these are top-tier schools.

I guess good-looking goes along with dumb.

by Anonymousreply 15February 2, 2015 6:25 PM

R15, really?

Swarthmore is definitely a top-tier little Ivy. Washington and Lee is a very good school as well.

by Anonymousreply 16February 2, 2015 6:28 PM

The best looking men on earth are in NYC, so it only follows that NYU should be on the list.

by Anonymousreply 17February 2, 2015 6:30 PM

" Velma and I ain't dumb !! "

by Anonymousreply 18February 2, 2015 6:30 PM

R16 Swarthmore is NOT an ivy.

by Anonymousreply 19February 2, 2015 6:38 PM

I know, R19. That's why I said it was a LITTLE IVY. Do you have reading comprehension problems or are you just stupid?

UNC has some hot dudes. Very hot.

by Anonymousreply 21February 2, 2015 6:45 PM

Swarthmore does NOT have hot guys

by Anonymousreply 22February 2, 2015 6:45 PM

ASU, Notre Dame, and some Southern and New England schools.

Good looking=blond and blue eyed.

by Anonymousreply 23February 2, 2015 6:54 PM

Cambridge.

by Anonymousreply 24February 2, 2015 6:55 PM

If you are into jock bro types I think UofA probably deserves high rank.

by Anonymousreply 25February 2, 2015 7:52 PM

I went to Rice. I absolutely loved it there.

But we DO NOT belong on this list.

by Anonymousreply 26February 2, 2015 7:55 PM

Ball State

by Anonymousreply 27February 2, 2015 7:56 PM

You haven't seen hot guys until you've gone to UVA.

by Anonymousreply 28February 2, 2015 8:04 PM

UNC athletes take it up the ass

More often than they go to class.

by Anonymousreply 29February 3, 2015 2:58 AM

UVA is not a charm school.

by Anonymousreply 30February 3, 2015 3:13 AM

Don't try to start the UVA bullshit up again.

by Anonymousreply 31February 3, 2015 9:44 AM

What's wrong with UVA?

by Anonymousreply 32February 3, 2015 9:56 AM

Get your kicks on Route 66.

by Anonymousreply 33February 3, 2015 12:08 PM

R15 is an idiot.

Swarthmore is one of the top 5 private colleges in the country. Pomona is up there as well. Rice is in the top 20 of universities. UNC is in the top 5 of public schools.

by Anonymousreply 34February 3, 2015 12:49 PM

Harvard should be on there for these guys alone.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 35February 3, 2015 12:58 PM

R15 must have gone to a shitty school to not be aware of places like Rice and Swarthmore.

by Anonymousreply 36February 3, 2015 1:41 PM

I live in the Raleigh-Durham area, and I have to disagree about the UNC being in the top 10 of hottest guys. Honestly, a list like this is more about image and PR. Any with decent-sized campus with thousands of 18-22 year old guys running around, you’re going to find some hot guys. From what I’ve seen, UNC has some hot guys but no more so than other college campuses. The thing about UNC guys is that a lot of them fall into that asexual milquetoast pretty boy archetype. They’re nice to look at, but once you get beyond that, they tend to be pretty bland compared to other college guys.

As far as UNC being an elite school, a lot of that is built on reputation and perception. UNC does have some really great professional school and graduate schools (law, medicine, business). However, their undergrad programs are similar to most other decent colleges. Because of the university’s reputation they get tons of applicants and the admissions department gets to pick and choose from among the best. But it’s often been noted around here that getting in to UNC is the hardest part. Generally, students there aren’t challenged or pushed once they get in, resulting in a serious grade inflation problem. It is the epitome of the Lake Wobegon slogan “…where all the kids are above average.” The university is currently embroiled in an athletic/academic schedule where, for over 2 decades, top level athletes were pushed into a shadow curriculum made up of classes that never met and only required a single paper to be turned in at the end. Of course, UNC is recognized for having an extremely high graduation rate among its student athletes. Bottom line, UNC is a good school that has found a way over many years to make itself look great on paper.

by Anonymousreply 37February 4, 2015 2:09 AM

the less minorts the hotter

by Anonymousreply 38February 4, 2015 2:39 AM

UNC is one of the very top Public universities in the nation. It has a very beautiful campus.

by Anonymousreply 39February 4, 2015 2:40 AM

[quote] College Magazine has researched a whole new list of schools with high 4-year gradation rates.

Oh, dear. Obviously their writer didn't go to one of them.

by Anonymousreply 40February 4, 2015 2:44 AM

Bowdoin

by Anonymousreply 41February 4, 2015 3:11 AM

I live in the Midwest and have worked at a few colleges, including a big ten school.

They're filled to the rafters with hot young guys - heallthy, big, strapping dudes. I always look forward to early September, when shirtless touch football games break out on the commons without fail.

by Anonymousreply 42February 4, 2015 1:45 PM

Swarthmore is an egg head school along the lines of Johns Hopkins and U of Chicago. So I don't buy it.

by Anonymousreply 43February 4, 2015 1:48 PM

R42, that's because you focus on the hot guys and ignore the fat or fugly ones

by Anonymousreply 44February 4, 2015 1:56 PM

R44, maybe. Fat farmboys are not uncommon here.

But I worked at UW, and while there were plenty of cheesehead chubbos, they were vastly outnumbered by hot dudes.

My current employer, a small liberal arts college, probably doesn't have a single male student not involved with sports. If A&F was still doing those quasi-porn catalogs, they would have shot these dudes.

by Anonymousreply 45February 4, 2015 3:41 PM

pics please

by Anonymousreply 46February 4, 2015 3:56 PM

Florida has more hotties than all of these campuses combined.

Middle Tennessee State has more hotties than Vandy. Geez, this list is horrible.

by Anonymousreply 47February 4, 2015 10:06 PM

"But I worked at UW, and while there were plenty of cheesehead chubbos, they were vastly outnumbered by hot dudes."

Not while I was there (as a student).

"My current employer, a small liberal arts college, probably doesn't have a single male student not involved with sports."

I find that very, very hard to believe

by Anonymousreply 48February 4, 2015 11:48 PM

Hudson University

by Anonymousreply 49February 6, 2015 1:44 AM

Small liberal college = less hot than big jock university.

Sorry, but it's true.

by Anonymousreply 50February 6, 2015 1:50 AM

Mills College

by Anonymousreply 51February 6, 2015 2:06 AM

UNC basketball Legend Dean Smith has passed away. Sad day.

by Anonymousreply 52February 8, 2015 2:05 PM

Sad week for UNC

by Anonymousreply 53February 12, 2015 11:02 AM

The service academies beat any college. And, you don't have to spend $40K a year for all the hot dudes.

by Anonymousreply 55February 6, 2021 12:37 PM

No Stanford?

by Anonymousreply 56February 6, 2021 12:40 PM

R54, are you brain-damaged? You bumped a six-year-old thread for that meaningless fucking video? I actually want to punch you.

by Anonymousreply 57February 6, 2021 12:53 PM

It's the dumbest list... every college has hot guys. Every college is a collection of 18-22 year old guys... sure there'll be plenty of fugs, but there will always be plenty of hotties too... and as for OP's article... that pic looks like the cover of a bel ami dvd I bought in 1998... no guy is wearing shorts like that anymore...

by Anonymousreply 58February 6, 2021 12:56 PM

[quote]My ex-boyfriend went to UNC, and my current boyfriend is a damn sight better looking than him.

Did they not have a statistics class at your community college?

by Anonymousreply 59February 6, 2021 2:46 PM

Pennsylvania is not known for attractive people so no college there.

by Anonymousreply 60February 6, 2021 3:06 PM

Any school with a huge Greek life is going to be insufferable and full of future GOP suburban voters who never ventured out of their white protected bubbles.

It should not be a source of pride - ever.

by Anonymousreply 61February 6, 2021 3:10 PM

I’m looking into housing around these areas
