Maxwell Caulfield
Married Juliet Mills in 1980 when he was 20 and she was 38.
Juliet is 73 now...and they're still married!
Thirty-four years of marriage is a Hollywood miracle, isn't it? But then again, who the heck would let go of the surreal beauty that is Maxwell Caulfield?

20 seems way too young to be married to a 28 year old. Regardless of genders.
But good for them for making it last.

It was an arranged marriage, she is a dyke, he is gay.
His brother was already married to her sister so he helped set it up.
Lavendar marriage, but they have become great friends so there is no reason to divorce. They truly do enjoy each other.

Fascinating snippet from R6's link:
[quote]From the start of his career, Caulfield has projected more than an image. Born in the British Midlands, he left home and school at 15 to live in London, where he worked as a nude dancer. At 18, he jetted to New York and landed a job in a gay farce, Hotrock Hotel. His highly praised performance as an omnisexual boarder in Entertaining Mr. Sloane led to the lead in Grease 2. Caulfield was supposed to replace John Travolta in the hearts of America. "I was such a chump," he says. "It was crazy to think the world was ready for a successor for Travolta." Eager for stardom, "I did a lot of blowing my own trumpet." His bad-boy reputation persisted until several L.A. stage performances altered that image.

Huh? Hayley Mills first husband (1975-1984) was Leigh Lawson, who is of no relation to Caulfield.

I too lusted after Maxwell Caulfield since I saw him in Grease 2, but I always got this hyper-masculine vibe from him, and I assumed he was disdainful of the gays.
BOY WAS I WRONG!
I'm making it a point to rewatch Grease 2 with gusto tonight and give free rein to my reawakened lust.
And good to know he's living in SoCal. My New Year's resolution is to make him my future husband now that he and I can get lawfully married.
See you soon, Max baby!

God was he an asshole back in the day. When Grease 2 came out they did a profile on him and the other cast members of the film in Vanity fair, and it was so clear he was a temperamental brat with a colossal ego. I will say he learned his lesson however, very quickly after he did not become a star. He is apparently now an extremely nice, humble, friendly guy.
He had one of the best bodies of the eighties. That photo of his ass shows how great it was--it's so toned and muscular, and his thighs are equally muscular.

R37 Vanity Fair wasn't being published when "Grease 2" premiered. It wasn't revived until 83 or 84.

He definitely did himself in, there was a lot of discussion about what a cunt he was, considering his very dubious beginnings (hustling, dancing, etc.) He was quickly dismissed as a vapid, 80s pretty boy, which wasn't totally fair because it was discovered somewhat later that he actually could act on stage. The damage was done at that point, though. There were a ton of gay rumors about him in LA, but nobody really cared because his career as a star was finished. He had burned way too many bridges.

I saw Maxwelll in a play on 42nd st about 20 years ago. He was nude for about 5 minutes but seen from the back. A friend told me if I sat extreme house right, near the front I could see his junk. He has a nice uncut dick but not worth all that trouble and it was such a bad play I don't remember it's name.
He has a buzz cut now and I think he looks really handsome.

When I was 12 and saw him in Grease 2, I was obsessed. He was so fucking hot.
Then, when I was about 15, he was on The Colbys, and no longer hot in my eyes. I realized then how very short the hotness shelf life is.

R64 I don't think so. He was hot as fuck in Grease 2. Then, to be he started looking like a goofy royal family member.
Of course, I recognize him as a handsome man, even now. I'm just talking about my ability to be aroused by him.
I remember when he was nude on Broadway. It was a pretty huge story in the tri-state area anyway. It KILLED me as a 13 year old that I was missing out on some Cool Rider dick.

I saw him naked in the early 80s, onstage, it was a small theater and he was only a few rows in front of me. He just stood there...and stood there...facing me. And yes, it was spectacular. Some silly play with Jessica Tandy.

R64 Erotic arousal is a fickle thing.
I watched the 1962 'Billy Budd' starring Terence Stamp. I thought he looked ugly because his hair was styled in a still high pompadour. Yet he was beautiful when walked on deck and the wind tousled his hair.
