Can you jerk off to old porn?

Warning: this is morbid. I get the fact that people die everyday but theres something about porn from the 90's and back that I cant watch because the actor may be dead. This could be due to drugs or murder or whatever. Unless its someone who we have evidence is still alive i just cant. Thats why I stay on chaturbate or Cam4 when im in a pinch.

by Anonymousreply 70January 18, 2020 4:52 PM

I pity you, OP. The hottest porn was 1907s porn, very hot and nasty and real - but most of those guys are gone now.

by Anonymousreply 1November 8, 2014 3:19 AM

Issues, OP. You have them.

by Anonymousreply 2November 8, 2014 3:21 AM

I happen to know Brad Hunt is alive and well, OP.

by Anonymousreply 3November 8, 2014 3:22 AM

[You do realize that this is a troll, right? It does not believe what it posts. It just craves attention. You might want to stop talking to it.]

by Anonymousreply 4November 8, 2014 3:24 AM

Another well spent $18

by Anonymousreply 5November 8, 2014 3:26 AM

I can kind of see what you mean, but by that same standard there are plenty of newer porn films that feature recently deceased stars as well, such as Erick Rhodes, Cameron Fox, and others. So are you going to rule out newer porn too?

I mainly watch straight porn because there are more straight male porn stars I am attracted to than gay ones - and many of them are from the 80's, such as Randy Spears and TT Boy, but even some of them have since passed, such as Jon Dough. I kind of try to put myself back in my mindframe when I was younger, and in the 80's and so incredibly turned on by them, but how rare it was for me to get a hold of some porn in general, let alone some with them in it.

by Anonymousreply 6November 8, 2014 3:27 AM

So are you guys jerking off too John Holmes and his peers? I get what OP means.

by Anonymousreply 7November 8, 2014 3:44 AM

In the '70's I was a teenager. I didn't dare to bring gay porn into the house. I had to make due with acceptable magazines like exercise mags and Sports Illustrated and such. If I could find some of those old mags I'm sure I would "enjoy" today as I did back then.

P.S. Jack Scalia was once the most beautiful man in the world.

by Anonymousreply 8November 8, 2014 3:55 AM

Jack Scalia is still alive so you're missing the point.

by Anonymousreply 9November 8, 2014 4:04 AM

I get what the OP is saying. If I know the guy is dead, it seems creepy to jerk off to him. But if I don't know, then it doesn't much matter. I'm not going to presume someone from the 1980s is dead.

by Anonymousreply 10November 8, 2014 4:17 AM

Jack Scalia may still be alive {which I knew}, but he is far removed from those glory days of modeling underware. I wouldn't want to jerk off to him these days.

by Anonymousreply 11November 8, 2014 4:19 AM

So I guess you can't watch and enjoy old classic movies either? They're all dead too.

by Anonymousreply 12November 8, 2014 4:23 AM

You're weird. I don't watch old films, porn or no, and think about how people may or may not be dead.

by Anonymousreply 13November 8, 2014 4:24 AM

Thomas Alva Edison was the gay porn king of 1907!

Omg some of you are really dumb. The original question is can can have a sexual fantasy with someone you know is dead.

by Anonymousreply 15November 8, 2014 4:32 AM

Hilarious R14. I hope those two lived a long and happy life together.

by Anonymousreply 16November 8, 2014 4:33 AM

I'm in my mid-40's, so "magazine" porn from the 80's is sort of a nostalgic turn-on for me, but when I see pictures from that time period online it becomes a turn-off when I think how most of the models are probably dead from AIDS. Sad, but true.

by Anonymousreply 17November 8, 2014 4:41 AM

[R17] there it is but I didnt want to sound insensitive.

by Anonymousreply 18November 8, 2014 5:01 AM

Bowman, God rest his soul.

by Anonymousreply 19November 8, 2014 5:27 AM

Doesn't bother me one bit. Dead, for one reason or another, caught a life-long disease, doesn't bother me any. NOT watching isn't going to change those circumstances.

by Anonymousreply 20November 8, 2014 5:34 AM

I do get kind of grossed out watching any bareback porn, especially the stuff from Treasure Island Media. In a recent interview though, one of the producers at TIM mentioned they only shoot with HIV+ models. But there is something so creepy about how kinky they are with exchanging bodily fluids and engaging in unsafe acts that makes me nauseous. Also, some mainstream gay porn stars have shot for TIM too, such as Marcus Iron, and Rod Spunkel, which makes me wonder if they are positive as well too.

by Anonymousreply 21November 8, 2014 6:05 AM

Isn't it more of a turn off to seem them still living but aged?

by Anonymousreply 22November 8, 2014 6:09 AM

Ignorance is bliss. My favorite are the '80s guys with their speedo tan lines and unspoiled (aka UN-TATTOOD) bodies. I just wish they'd have had high resolution video back then…it's all shitty VHS quality shit. But it still gets my nut.

by Anonymousreply 23November 8, 2014 6:22 AM

It used to creep me out too, but then I like to think that they would be honored to have guys jerking off to their work.

by Anonymousreply 24November 8, 2014 6:25 AM

There. Has been a couple from the 80s that committed sucide (Kyle Carrington Joel Curry) I feel bad about jacking off to but strangely Sean from CF I found hotter after his death. Did they ever tell what was the reason of his death?

by Anonymousreply 25November 8, 2014 6:32 AM

If I know something bad happened to a certain actor in the porn I don't enjoy watching it. But it's obvious that porn from the 70s has lot of people who are dead now and that in itself doesn't take away the hotness of it. You can get melancholic about everything that's happened in the history but that's life. Everything on this planet dies eventually.

And like R23 said ignorance is bliss. When I watch porn I don't want to be thinking sad things.

by Anonymousreply 26November 8, 2014 8:38 AM

R21 only poz models makes their stuff grosser, who wants to see a poz?

I like the 70's, dirty but innocent in a way. Few back then had tragic lives.

by Anonymousreply 27November 8, 2014 12:23 PM

I can't jerk off to a porn star if I know they died under tragic circumstances like drug overdose, suicide or, AIDS. It just feels wrong to me that they died a tragic death probably related to being in the porn business and, I'm using those images for my own sexual gratification.

by Anonymousreply 28November 8, 2014 3:45 PM

OP, I totally understand. I do, I do!

When I jerk off to porn, I ask myself, "Where did these strong, hard men come from? Who were their parents? Where did they go to school? What are their dreams and aspirations/apparitions? Do they believe in a higher power? Will that higher power aid them in a future in real estate or slightly used cars?

By then, I've shot my wad and moved on to musicals from the 60s.

That's just unpossible when I have the fear they've been dead for awhile or perhaps working in a local grocery shop or Jiffy Lube.

by Anonymousreply 29November 8, 2014 5:07 PM

OP, every guy that you see in any porno is going to die someday. That should ruin it for you for good.

by Anonymousreply 30November 8, 2014 5:54 PM

My all time favorite porn scene is between Christopher Lance and Grant Fagan in "The Young and the Hung." This is a William Higgins/Catalina film from 1985. Yes, I'm really old. Lance was stabbed to death by his boyfriend in 1993 or 1994. The fact he is dead has no effect on my enjoyment of this scene. I will always remember him at the peak of his beauty.

[quote]Omg some of you are really dumb. The original question is can can have a sexual fantasy with someone you know is dead.

Yes, yes, yes. I always shed a tear after wanking to the dead. Because, I think they would have wanted it that way.

And thus, their deaths were not in vain. Like Jesus, they fucked for our sins.

by Anonymousreply 32November 8, 2014 6:29 PM

I know exactly how you feel OP. That's why, even though I like to read books, I won't read anything dealing with history. All those people are dead. I just can't bear reading about them.

by Anonymousreply 33November 8, 2014 6:35 PM

What a shame.

by Anonymousreply 34November 8, 2014 6:36 PM

R34 yes one of my favorite old school porn films

It was also the FIRST one I saw and when I discovered the late Text Anthony, who died of AIDS in 1992, he was the prototype of the perfect boyfriend, that I'm still searching for

RIP Tex

Between the cheesy hair styling, weird tan lines and poor video quality, those old videos do nothing for me. And I grew up in the 80s. Spoiled by online HD porn. I also think a lot of guys now are hotter.

by Anonymousreply 42January 17, 2020 6:11 PM

Yeah I had fun watching the old Noll brothers films from the 80s on xvideos recently, they were hot.

by Anonymousreply 43January 17, 2020 6:17 PM

R43 exactly, men were men back then. Are the Noll Brothers still around?

by Anonymousreply 44January 17, 2020 6:18 PM

It can be a bummer when you watch some of the older movies knowing most, if not all of the actors are dead.

The Rialto Report did an article about the movie Centurian's of Rome (and crazy story behind the making of it) from 1981. They got access to the model releases for all 34 actors in the movie and 22 of them died before the age of 45 (mostly of AIDS). And at least one other (David Morris) died at age 47.

It's really hard to tell how many have died in anonymity. The majority of the real names of the porn stars from 70s through 90s are unknown, unlike most modern stars.

R45 did anyone know Tex Anthony's real name? Or real date death aside from just 1992

Can't find it anywhere

by Anonymousreply 46January 17, 2020 6:30 PM

If their death is surrounded by some kind of tragedy or if they suffered a lot, I'm aware of it. However, if they are simply no longer with us, they are just like the many others who have become lost to time.

by Anonymousreply 47January 17, 2020 6:31 PM

R47 good thing is that their work will live on from generation to generation, thanks to the internet

by Anonymousreply 48January 17, 2020 6:34 PM

Only on DataLounge do people “overthink” pornography.

by Anonymousreply 49January 17, 2020 6:35 PM

The porn star subgroup was really hit hard by AIDS - as expected I guess, but scary what a high % died from it.

by Anonymousreply 50January 17, 2020 6:37 PM

R46 I'm sure some people in porn knew his real name and that it's on the model releases for the porn work he did. No one has publically revealed it though apparently.

by Anonymousreply 51January 17, 2020 6:49 PM

Not only OP is suffering from morbid paranoia, but also from morbid obesity as well.

by Anonymousreply 52January 17, 2020 6:50 PM

[quote]The hottest porn was 1907s porn, very hot and nasty and real - but most of those guys are gone now.

R1 How did you watch porn in 1907? Just curious...

by Anonymousreply 53January 17, 2020 6:53 PM

[quote] The hottest porn was 1907s porn, very hot and nasty and real - but most of those guys are gone now.

Most of them except Michael Lucas, of course.

by Anonymousreply 54January 17, 2020 6:56 PM

R51 about half the actors from the William Higgins/Catalina early to mid 80s days of gay porn are still alive

Higgins just passed unfortunately

I would love a thorough documentary, like a documentary mixed with Boogie Nights, on the scene with interviews from the survivors, it really had an innocence and fun to the pornography . Films like Spring Semester, Young and the Hung, Giants, etc

They don't make them.like that anymore

by Anonymousreply 55January 17, 2020 6:56 PM

If I've had sex with the porn star I give it a miss and look for something with Kevin Miles or Bill Farnsworth.

by Anonymousreply 56January 17, 2020 7:06 PM

I can’t jerk to porn of guys I know died.

Also, I hate 80’s porn because everyone has shaved bodies—yuck

by Anonymousreply 57January 17, 2020 7:33 PM

I only do

by Anonymousreply 58January 17, 2020 7:41 PM

There were still some hawt Civil War soldiers around in 1907. I mean if you like daddy porn.

by Anonymousreply 59January 17, 2020 7:43 PM

Of course i can jack to old porn. Ryan Idol, Jon Vincent, Bruno, Corey Evans, even more.

by Anonymousreply 60January 17, 2020 8:12 PM

I don't know about old porn, but I really love what most would consider ancient porn. I started getting into the stuff that started it all, the Athletic Model Guild, created by Bob Mizer. Back then, Bob would make little films that would find any excuse for the guys to strip down to jockstraps and either wrestle or spank. Everything was done in good fun, but the gay overtones were unmistakable. As the late Sixties/early Seventies came, Mizer (and contemporaries like Richard Fontaine, Bruce Bellas, Pat Rocco and David Hurles) went to nudity and "soft-core" porn. The first male-male kiss in porn was a black and white silent called Cellmates. It can still get me harder than anything out today.

by Anonymousreply 61January 17, 2020 8:13 PM

[quote] Also, I hate 80’s porn because everyone has shaved bodies—yuck

That’s not the ‘80s.

by Anonymousreply 62January 17, 2020 9:24 PM

[quote] I pity you, OP. The hottest porn was 1907s.

Now THERE’S some daguerreotypes I’d like to get a hold of.

by Anonymousreply 63January 17, 2020 9:26 PM

R62 exactly, that started towards the late 80s and WAS the 90s

Around the time porn went from being shot on film to shot on video

by Anonymousreply 64January 17, 2020 9:33 PM

I can and I will!

by Anonymousreply 65January 18, 2020 9:11 AM

Yes, OP. I watch old movies too, and I read old books.

Try again.

by Anonymousreply 66January 18, 2020 9:12 AM

OP, it depends. I love classic porn and I know many of those guys are dead now. You just learn to deal with it. It's weird to see porn from the recently deceased like a CB performer Dave Slick whose shows I watched live many times. It makes you sad and kind of angry to know he threw it all away by OD'ing in a restaurant bathroom.

by Anonymousreply 67January 18, 2020 9:41 AM

You know what your problem is, OP? You think too much!

by Anonymousreply 68January 18, 2020 1:37 PM

Dying of a drug overdose in your 20s sucks but getting old also sucks, for everyone, but especially if you're in front of the camera.

by Anonymousreply 69January 18, 2020 4:43 PM

Every time you cum jerking off to a dead 90s porn star, an angel gets its wings! 😇
