Handsome French actor died June 15th at the age of 87.
Married to Ginger Rogers and then to Dorothy Malone who had two daughters with him.
Memorable in an old Dick Van Dyke episode.

Wow, surprised this is so under the radar. He was major hunk.

He was quite handsome as the skating instructor, Sandomir, in GIGI (1958).

I believe he got the role in "Gigi" because he was shtupping Eva Gabor at the time. He certainly looked good in tight pants,

I prefer to remember him as he was in his Oscar nominated role from THE HYPNOTIC EYE. He co-starred with the statuesque Allison Hayes in it. She was likewise robbed of her Academy Award for ATTACK OF THE 50 FT. WOMAN.

Surely a joke from R8. I saw "The Hypnotic Eye" a few times, it's highly doubtful even the wardrobe, or the set decoration, got nominated.
Oscar nominations for that campfest? Hilarious.

His last IMDB credit was an episode of "The Doris Day Show" when he was only 42 (1969). So I guess he must have retired from acting a LONG time ago.

R10, per the linked article:
[quote] After leaving the film business in the late 1960s, Bergerac, a naturalized U.S. citizen since 1963, became an executive with the Revlon Cosmetics company, where his older brother, Michel, was president and chairman. He later ran the Biarritz Olympique rugby club in the early 1980s.

He was also in Fury of Achilles, looking great in Greco-Roman gear

He looks stunning in LES GIRLS in 1957. No wonder Ginger and Dot Malone had to marry him. Just like that Italian hottie Vittorio Gassman and Shelley Winters. Hollywood dames back then went for those hot european hunks who knew how to satisfy a lady ...
Shelley and Vittorio had a very tempestous relationship.

Mary Rodgers completed the trifecta a couple of days ago.

Sorry but Mary Rodgers finished the Eli Wallach/Julius Rudel Trifecta.

"The Hypnotic Eye" terrified me when I saw it as a child. I think it was the sequence where the woman set her hair on fire that did the trick.

He was the 40-something Ginger Rogers' boy toy, and they made a bad movie together.

Well I'm glad she was getting it from SOMEONE! God knows I couldn't get it up for her!
