I did a Google search on The Sword blog, and there's only one instance of the terms "Marco Blaze" and "ex gay" appearing in the same page; the page is from 2009, that is, a year before Blaze retired, and therefore unrelated to any of the reasons behind his retirement, and the ex-gay term is not in a story about him. The people who are (is?) calling him ex-gay, straight, etc., are lying, it seems, and as we can see from the last post in this page before mine, they are not willing to let it go, though. In a way, I understand the impulse to, in a blog about gossip, augment or outright make up spicy things so as to be the most interesting guy around, the one people turn to for the most titillating piece of gossip, but still, this is a fucking weird thing to do. Calling Blaze or Poulter ex-gay is to mark them as traitors to our community, and is upsetting to people who followed their work. Why would anyone do, and insist on doing that, while being unable to put out one single piece of evidence?
