DL Mascot Jahi McMath Showing Signs of Life
You go! [italic] In an interview with The Chronicle on Friday at the office of the family's attorney, Jahi's uncle Omari Sealy, 27, said that while his niece remains unconscious, she looks healthy and moves her head, legs and arms regularly. Showing such signs of life, he said, the family is not going to give up on her.
She even turns in the direction of visitors when they enter her hospital room, an indication that she understands her surroundings, Sealy said.
"She moves so much, she can turn on her side," he said. "They have to keep her bed rails up. They're afraid she could fall out of bed."
Medical experts insist that brain-dead people are not alive. They say movement by people on mechanical support is not uncommon; it's the product of muscle and spinal reflexes.
Experts also say patients can remain on support machines for weeks or even months, but their condition is bound to deteriorate.[/italic]

He's lying and saying this because the donations have tapered off dramatically. She's a corpse and when the last doctor examined her in December she was defecating her insides out and the Oder of death had started to creep in.

This is such a gruesome story! Is the family going to keep her on life support until she starts rotting?

She's not ready to say Jabye.

She already has started rotting. She's not on life support, she's on a ventilator. I can't imagine that she's at a accredited/legitimate medical facility. No legit/reputable medical facility would risk their reputation and licensing to keep a corpse on a ventilator.

At least we know how "the Walking Dead" got started now.

Chelsea Handler has invited Jahi on her "Uganda Be Kidding Me?" tour.

The family is taking the Alameda County to court to have the death certificate revoked, R10.
They can't do so without yet another team of neurologists going in and running brain scans on the corpse.
But the basic deal, to no one's surprise, is that the family wants to get medical insurance reinstated to cover the costs of keeping this poor child's body hooked up to machines.

Is she available for the GOP VP slot in 2016?

I said in another thread a week or so ago, this is solely to get the death certificate revoked so welfare benefits can be claimed again. That family has no shame.

No r13, she's on the Clinton ticket for 2016. Their slogan will be "Brain Dead Bitches Better Than Obama!"

R15 = poster child for brain death.

Good comeback R16. Did you hear that from a nursery schooler?

Thank god.
I wonder how all those Jesus freak black women who continued to insist that god can do anything, and it should be left up to him whether she lives or dies are disappointed? I used to follow this in various groups online, but I eventually had to let it go because I wanted to scream every time they talked about, "I had a friend who was in a coma for 3 years and then she woke up!! Jahi can wake up too!!"
The stupidity was nuclear.

That blog is great R20. I highly recommend reading about Jahi in the doctor's words.
The mother is just horrible.

Yeah he's great r21, jesus, this is gruesome, "She was apparently brought back to the operating theatre for "one last look" on June 22, got back to the intensive care unit, promptly coded, and died. Again." I can't believe some doctor opened her up, again.

I wonder what the hell she looked like inside?? That's a pretty creepy picture I would imagine.

Honestly, this sounds like medical negligence.
If this account is accurate, that doctor and those nurses were more concerned with their fucking notes than helping a profusely bleeding patient.
I’m not one bit surprised. All my interactions with doctors and nurses in the hospital remind me of this description. Dismissive. Rude. Absent. A bunch of assholes.

r25 I'm not sure the surgeon was actually alerted that the complications were so serious, I agree though, the nurses should have alerted him and done more. And that's sad and infuriating they didn't but that's the end of the line, she's dead now, you don't get to change the definition of death to assuage your own guilty feelings, maybe her mom should have kept her from getting so obese. Yes, they should have gotten money when she died and buried her then. I hope the pussy judge is not re-elected after so cowardly refusing to lay down the fact that she was dead, this could have been avoided 5 years ago.

Looks as though she lost a few pounds.

Didn’t the complication start when Jahi was given a hamburger by her grandmother? Who then, after Jahi started to choke on her own blood, grabbed the suction device and went to town sucking out the remaining blood clots? Not medical negligence, R25/R26.

The hamburger thing has never been proven and honestly, if you had your tonsils out, you couldn't and wouldn't want to eat a hamburger. The suction thing though, was stated by the grandma before the lawyer told her to shut up about it. Either way, it probably should have been attended to sooner but the fact that it wasn't and she died is all that matters, that she died, period, and should have been treated as such and not taken on a fucking Evita tour of surgeries in Jersey.
