Chenoweth is light years more talented, trained and gifted of a singer than Menzel. They are equally ambitious. That's how it started and in a strange way that is how it still is. I could say a lot more, but one of them is my friend and the other is an ex co-worker.

She must be friendly with Kristen Bell because they were both offered to duet at the Oscars, but Bell deferred to give Idina the spotlight since "she's actually a singer" (though Bell has a great voice).

It's weird to me that they're about equally famous right now given that Kristin has been so much more visible in the last ten years. but the double whammy of Idina singing that song and then Travolta forgetting her name (in the most memorable cringe moment of the Oscars) has made sure everyone knows her name now.

I will never understand in a million years why Idina never got that big hooked nose fixed. Unlike Barbra Streisand's, Idina's nose is not (subjectively speaking) weirdly beautiful at certain angles--Idina's is just unpleasant from any angle. It has ensured she can basically only play Elphaba (and she's too old now for the movie) unless she does voice work only.

Why did Travolta say her name incorrectly? Was it a joke? Did he read the TelePrompTer wrong?
