Look at how boring the menu of his restaurant "Robert Irvine's Eat!" is. A dozen restaurants with an identical menu in any major city.

He lied and exaggerated his way to a Food Network position and was popular enough that the channel decided to keep him around. But watching him scream and shout at cooks when his own house in such disarray is pretty infuriating.

His overly worked out disgusting body seems to be his selling point. It fits with his fake military antics and Gordon Ramsey ripoff rage.

I watched Restaurant Express and enjoyed it, and also saw the episode of Impossible where he was remarkably sensitive to the feuding gay owners of the failing restaurant.
