STFU Matt Damon!!

United airlines voice, TDAmeritrade voice, HOW MUCH MONEY DOES HE NEED?

by Anonymousreply 75January 23, 2018 7:10 AM

He does United too? I didn't realize that.

by Anonymousreply 1October 24, 2013 10:56 AM

I thought we had all agreed, Matt is fat, ugly, untalented, old and finished. Now you don't even want him to have an income.

by Anonymousreply 2October 24, 2013 11:24 AM

He's fat too? Now that is a sin.

by Anonymousreply 3October 24, 2013 11:26 AM

John Hamm is doing the American ads

by Anonymousreply 4October 24, 2013 11:51 AM

If I recall, Matt is donating his TD Ameritrade money to his clean water charity.

by Anonymousreply 5October 24, 2013 12:39 PM

I advised Matt to make hay while the sun shines.

Get over it, broke asses!

by Anonymousreply 6October 24, 2013 12:41 PM

Hating Matt Damon: it just doesn't work.

by Anonymousreply 7October 24, 2013 12:41 PM

Attending Game One of the World Series last evening at Fenway Park.

by Anonymousreply 8October 24, 2013 12:48 PM

Why not, R7?

by Anonymousreply 9October 24, 2013 12:54 PM

Because he's impossible to hate. Or maybe I just don't have the same kind of hate gene a lot of you have.

I get some of the DL hates. I agree with some of them, even (ironically, I can't STAND Matt's BFF). But Matt Damon seems like someone I could be friends with. I'm no movie encyclopedia, but I don't think I've never seen him play a character I didn't like. Matt Damon seems like a mensch.

Some of you hate on people who don't seem the least bit hateworthy. Matt is at the top of that list, followed by Jake Gyllenhaal.

I save my hatred for people who deserve it, mainly politicians and religiofascists. And Ben Affleck.

by Anonymousreply 10October 24, 2013 1:17 PM

I am still convinced that most - if not all - of Good Will Hunting was all Ben Affleck.

by Anonymousreply 11October 24, 2013 1:22 PM

I really like Damon as an actor, but I was disappointed with his comment on the DVD extras to Behind the Candelabra:

"I'm glad the intimate scenes were done in one take. I couldn't have handled any more."

I thought he was better than the "I'm so super straight, gay sex makes me sick" protestations.

by Anonymousreply 12October 24, 2013 1:26 PM

Do you think the Damon butt is still some sweet stuff?

by Anonymousreply 13October 24, 2013 1:29 PM

I never knew that, R12. Perhaps I need to rethink my opinion of Matt Damon. OTOH, I wouldn't want to spend a whole lot of time in bed with Michael Douglas *.

* I didn't see the movie, so I have no idea how many sex scenes were actually filmed in a bed.

by Anonymousreply 14October 24, 2013 1:31 PM

I don't do butt, R13. I've never actually noticed Matt's.

by Anonymousreply 15October 24, 2013 1:32 PM

I forgot to sign my post at r14.

by Anonymousreply 16October 24, 2013 1:36 PM

CZJ, I thought you were a perennial 35.

by Anonymousreply 17October 24, 2013 1:40 PM

[quote]I never knew that, [R12]. Perhaps I need to rethink my opinion of Matt Damon. OTOH, I wouldn't want to spend a whole lot of time in bed with Michael Douglas *.

This. Would a gay actor feel really comfortable doing similar scenes with, say, Jane Fonda?

by Anonymousreply 18October 24, 2013 1:51 PM

Poor Kirk at r17 also still thinks he's married to Diana and calls ME Diandra. The tragedy of dementia! I hear it can he hereditary.

by Anonymousreply 19October 24, 2013 1:56 PM

R18: You are laughably naive.

If it were about the age of the costar, no actor would be rude or unprofessional enough to suggest they were repulsed by their costar because they are old.

But it is OK to remind everyone you find gay stuff icky.

by Anonymousreply 20October 24, 2013 2:08 PM

It's probably really hard to turn down a voiceover gig. They are a paid huge sum to just read a pre-prepared script. A big star will make hundreds of thousands for about six hours' work in a recording studio. The astounding income:effort and income:time ratios make it too compelling to resist.

by Anonymousreply 21October 24, 2013 2:11 PM

I always liked Matt Damon. Talented actor, seems like a nice guy, and in my opinion he has a large, womanly butt.

by Anonymousreply 22October 24, 2013 3:47 PM

I think Matt was making the comment regarding the sex scene in light of being with Michael Douglas specifically and in light of Matt's own inadequacies and inexperience. He said in an interview (I'll try to find it) that he wasn't sure he'd be able to simulate it correctly and that he wasn't sure whether his body was adequate for the part.

by Anonymousreply 23October 24, 2013 4:33 PM

Who are these people saying Damon is "talented" as an actor?????

No, he's NOT talented, he's wooden as hell.

by Anonymousreply 24October 24, 2013 4:38 PM

r23

BS he can watch gay porn can't he??? WTF?! It's not THAT hard! PLEEASE. You apologists make me sick.

by Anonymousreply 25October 24, 2013 4:38 PM

He's starting to look like Michael C. Hall. Not a good thing in my opinion.

by Anonymousreply 26October 24, 2013 4:41 PM

No actors like doing sex scenes and are usually grateful when they're over.

by Anonymousreply 27October 24, 2013 4:42 PM

Yes he is, r24. That's why he got cast in The TALENTED Mr. Ripley. Cause, you know, he's talented.

by Anonymousreply 28October 24, 2013 4:43 PM

Particularly with Michael Douglas, r27.

by Anonymousreply 29October 24, 2013 4:44 PM

[all posts by tedious, racist idiot removed.]

by Anonymousreply 30October 24, 2013 4:47 PM

He has four kids, all girls. The oldest is the wife's child with her first husband. I haven't read anything about her being pregnant again. Although, it wouldn't surprise me. You know he wants a boy. If just to keep up with Afflack.

by Anonymousreply 31October 24, 2013 4:55 PM

I know Matt but not well. He is at best an acquaintance yet he has shown me unlimited kindness and generosity and has helped me tremendously. I am in no position to return the favor, yet, but would not hesitate to do so if I was able to. There was nothing in it for him to help me. He just liked something I wrote. His wife is lovely, well educated and their children have wonderful manners and are completely unaffected. They have a Latin charm from Lucy and a New England sensibility from Matt. He is also very, very smart as is Ben, and they are both extremely funny. There are good guys in this world, even in Hollywood. Nobody who knows Matt would disagree with anything I've written here.

by Anonymousreply 32October 24, 2013 5:00 PM

[quote]If it were about the age of the costar, no actor would be rude or unprofessional enough to suggest they were repulsed by their costar because they are old.

Yes, there are plenty of rude assholes who would suggest such a thing. For instance Leonardo Dicaprio recently made a whole thing about having to kiss 67 year old Joanna Lummley in the upcoming Wolf of Wallstreet.

by Anonymousreply 33October 24, 2013 5:13 PM

R32, what comments have he or others made about his ass? What does it look like in person? Is he aware of people admiring his ass and/or the comments about its size? Thank you.

by Anonymousreply 34October 24, 2013 5:43 PM

They don't live in Manhattan anymore. They moved to Santa Monica this summer, down the street from Ben. And Matt's owned his two Manhattan properties since prior to getting married, anyway.

by Anonymousreply 35October 24, 2013 6:32 PM

Y'all are so icky!

by Anonymousreply 36October 24, 2013 8:04 PM

Why icky, R36?

by Anonymousreply 37October 24, 2013 8:29 PM

I thought it was Pacific Palisades, R35.

by Anonymousreply 38October 24, 2013 8:37 PM

Close enough r38. The Affleck kid goes to Carlthorp school.

by Anonymousreply 39October 24, 2013 9:07 PM

And what about Chris Hardwicke? You can't get away from his face or his voice on television.

by Anonymousreply 40October 24, 2013 9:23 PM

Matt is one of the few normal stars in Hollywood, and very generous with his time towards the fans (unlike Affleck, Clooney or Brad Pitt). He's always avoided any kind of scandal, he's very in love with Lucy, and he enjoys his family.

by Anonymousreply 41October 25, 2013 3:56 PM

His wife looks like a rabbit.

by Anonymousreply 42October 25, 2013 6:23 PM

He renewed his vows this year. That's always a harbinger of impending divorce.

by Anonymousreply 43October 25, 2013 8:47 PM

What did Leo diCaprio say about Joanna Lumley?

I may have to hate him now.

by Anonymousreply 44October 25, 2013 9:14 PM

"What did Leo diCaprio say about Joanna Lumley?"

Yes, what?

by Anonymousreply 45October 26, 2013 3:08 PM

Leonardo said something about Lumley?? What a fucking tool!

by Anonymousreply 46October 26, 2013 3:20 PM

Always wondered why Matt never said a word after Heath Ledger died, even though they had made The Brothers Grimm together.

by Anonymousreply 47October 26, 2013 5:40 PM

Bump.

by Anonymousreply 48November 2, 2013 10:30 PM

STFU OP!

Matt's a good egg, he probably donates a lot of that to worthy causes.

by Anonymousreply 49November 2, 2013 10:46 PM

[quote]Matt's a good egg, he probably donates a lot of that to worthy causes.

yeah, like flying half of Hollywood to his marriage vow renewals.

by Anonymousreply 50November 2, 2013 11:21 PM

Don't forget Julia Roberts for Nationwide Insurance.

by Anonymousreply 51November 3, 2013 4:21 AM

He has a fat womanly ass.

by Anonymousreply 52November 3, 2013 5:30 AM

[all posts by tedious, racist idiot removed.]

by Anonymousreply 53November 3, 2013 5:53 AM

Why mention that, R52?

by Anonymousreply 54November 3, 2013 7:16 AM

why do they use stars? save money and get some unknown...do they really think they will sell more with Damon or Amy Adams? most times you don't even know who it is

by Anonymousreply 55November 3, 2013 9:05 AM

R52, how is that pertinent to the topic?

by Anonymousreply 56November 5, 2013 12:47 AM

His career peaked at Good Will Hunting. It's gone down since then.

Why does anyone listen to celebs anyway??

by Anonymousreply 57November 5, 2013 11:08 AM

Matt Damon nose pick.

by Anonymousreply 59November 9, 2013 11:18 PM

Matt can no longer carry a movie on his own. He needs to be part of an ensemble. Elysium, Promised Land, etc. Not big moneymakers and will at best break even. He is great as part of George Clooney's entourage. In fact he is rapidly becoming the "Turtle" of that group.

by Anonymousreply 60November 19, 2013 10:01 PM

In my opinion, Damon has a large, womanly butt.

by Anonymousreply 61November 19, 2013 10:14 PM

I was just wondering if any of you think Damon has a large womanly butt?

by Anonymousreply 62November 19, 2013 10:30 PM

Apparently R61 does, R62.

by Anonymousreply 63November 20, 2013 12:30 AM

But does he have a womanly butt? That's all i want to know.

by Anonymousreply 64November 20, 2013 2:56 AM

Does Bob Dylan need money? I just saw a Kohl's commercial that used "Forever Young."

by Anonymousreply 65November 20, 2013 2:59 AM

Why so curious R62/R64. R61 apparently thinks so. Do you? If so, why do you think that?

by Anonymousreply 66November 20, 2013 3:11 AM

I am still not following you. Does he have a womanly butt or not?

by Anonymousreply 67November 20, 2013 3:26 AM

Or is that Ben Affleck has a manly butt so in comparison and by deduction, that would leave Matt to be the possessor of a womanly butt?

by Anonymousreply 68November 20, 2013 3:29 AM

Oh, the Butt-manity!

by Anonymousreply 69November 20, 2013 3:53 AM

Robert Redford and Gene Hackman have also done VoiceOver work for United Airlines.
