I am loving Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka
Never paid much attention but NPH got my attention hosting the Tonys. And he has won an Emmy for his hosting of the Tony's.
A poster in another thread on the 8 year old who thinks he is gay provided the link to a interview of them both by Oprah. It is in several parts on youtube.
Thoughts about Neil or David?

Bitter Dataloungers hate them, but I adore them.

They were great in the last "Harold & Kumar" movie, playing themselves as straight guys pretending to be gay... (part of a running joke throughout the trilogy)

I don't really follow the Tonys but I did watch the Neil Patrick Harris opening online last night. Wow. How does someone even learn a complex singing/dancing routine like that? I'm impressed.

NPH is great. David seems like a decent guy, if more the housewife.

They're our royal couple. The absolute zenith of what gay people can achieve in America in 2013.

NPH on the Ellen show last month. What a 40th birthday party David gave him.

I used to wait on them sometimes years ago when they first were together. They were both very nice. Back then NPH was kind of a faded TV star and Burtka a Broadway performer. They kind of seemed more equal. Now Burtka seems kind of second string which must be hard for him. In person NPH seems a little more awkward and shy (at least back then) whereas Burtka was very outgoing. NPH may have been self-consious about being seen with a guy...he wasn't really totally out back then.
I always wondered why his career ended. You'd think even in LA he could have done guest star stuff and CSI type small roles. I kind of wonder if David thinks he is too big for that now.

He said in the Oprah interview that he thought he'd have no trouble getting work when he moved to Hollywood, but that turned out not to be the case. Then he attended Le Cordon Bleu for 2 years and now owns a catering company.

I used to think it was impressive to go to Le Cordon Bleu BUT then I saw the commercials with the call this 800 number.

While Neil is always entertaining, truthfully Burtka is becoming quite the bore.

I can't wait for Neil's variety show. I hope when his kids get older he puts the girls on it.
