Crack Cocaine

I smoked it last nite for the first time.

Oh.

My.

Fucking.

God.

That first blast.....

by Anonymousreply 151April 9, 2019 7:36 PM

Can't wait to smoke it again today. Whoo-wee Will report back later...

by Anonymousreply 1April 12, 2011 9:55 AM

You'll be sorry, OP.

No shit, sorry.

by Anonymousreply 2April 12, 2011 10:04 AM

Bad idea jeans. And dark-sided.

by Anonymousreply 3April 12, 2011 10:28 AM

"last nite"

Horrifying.

by Anonymousreply 4April 12, 2011 10:51 AM

I had a friend who thought he'd give crack a try. He didn't think he'd get hooked.

He is and now he's a homeless mess.

Have fun destroying your life, fuckwit.

by Anonymousreply 5April 12, 2011 11:18 AM

This can't end well.

by Anonymousreply 6April 12, 2011 11:59 AM

Your an idiot op? Are you on your last brain cell?

by Anonymousreply 7April 12, 2011 12:20 PM

Well, the OP could just be trolling for reactions. Nevertheless, it's awful how many gay people hate themselves so much that they endanger their lives with drugs, alcohol, and risky behavior.

by Anonymousreply 8April 12, 2011 12:28 PM

PHDs: Gateways to drugs!

by Anonymousreply 9April 12, 2011 12:41 PM

Sell anything you have now for half its worth and move out of your apartment without paying rent. You'll save a lot more money for your forthcoming crack addiction. No seriously! You'll be broke and living on the street in no time. Why not make arrangements now so you can really do it whole hog.

Oh, also, call everyone you now and tell them goodbye.

You may not be dead, but you'll be super retarded in no time.

You get what you deserve you stupid fuck. Kisses!

by Anonymousreply 10April 12, 2011 3:48 PM

You are really fuck'n stupid. I know so many people whose lives have been ruined by Crack and Meth. Enjoy yourself.

by Anonymousreply 11April 12, 2011 3:53 PM

Back in my misspent youth I enjoyed smoking crack and sucking cock for hours - great high for sex. Frankly, I am no worse for it.

by Anonymousreply 12April 12, 2011 4:02 PM

R12 - says you.

by Anonymousreply 13April 12, 2011 4:05 PM
Back in my misspent youth I enjoyed smoking crack and sucking cock for hours - great high for sex. Frankly, I am no worse for it. posted from the public library

by Anonymousreply 14April 12, 2011 4:13 PM

OP = stupid and ignorant

by Anonymousreply 15April 12, 2011 4:17 PM

Crack cocaine is very hard to get off of, very stupid choice of drugs.

by Anonymousreply 16April 12, 2011 4:18 PM

It could be worse. OP could be spending her money on dolls.

by Anonymousreply 17April 12, 2011 4:20 PM

R17, seriously I have nephews an nieces whose lives are ruined over crack. My dolls are not an issue.

The gay community needs to face facts, crack and meth are not helping our community, or any other community.

by Anonymousreply 18April 12, 2011 4:24 PM

I know someone very close who once was hooked on crack. Its a very dangerous drug that makes you do unthinkable things and hurt yourself and many people around you. It can also affect you once you get off it. You will not feel like the same, bright person.

by Anonymousreply 19April 12, 2011 4:28 PM

I tried it and it didn't do anything except for make my heart race.

by Anonymousreply 20April 12, 2011 4:30 PM

You're an idiot OP.

by Anonymousreply 21April 12, 2011 4:32 PM

I've tried it a few times and yes, it felt good. However, one of the guys I did it with got totally addicted. He worked two jobs, had an apartment, car, some nice stuff. A year later, he had nothing and moved back to his mother's place. Don't know if he ever got off of it. Basically, the same story with another guy we did it with. Not worth it.

by Anonymousreply 22April 12, 2011 4:33 PM

You guys do know what that shit is made out of right?

by Anonymousreply 23April 12, 2011 4:37 PM

Yeah, cocaine.

by Anonymousreply 24April 12, 2011 4:40 PM

OP = LOSER.

by Anonymousreply 25April 12, 2011 4:51 PM

OP, you at least noticed that the second and third hits didn't feel as good as that first one right? Neither will the 400th or 1000th. You'll never get that first one back. You'll chase and chase it too. That's about the only thing that our drug "education" got right.

I really wish I could tell you to go down to the drug store and have a nice Coca Cola with coke and deescalate what you've started but just like during prohibition when you couldn't get a beer, only whiskey, You can't have the softer version of this drug. So just stay away from it.

by Anonymousreply 26April 12, 2011 4:54 PM

[italic]Your an idiot op? Are you on your last brain cell?[/italic]

Oh, the irony!!!

by Anonymousreply 27April 12, 2011 4:56 PM

Describe the high, OP.

by Anonymousreply 28April 12, 2011 5:45 PM

R24 cocaine mixed with gasoline and all kinds of other shit. Nasty.

by Anonymousreply 29April 12, 2011 5:49 PM

r29 - um no...baking soda.

by Anonymousreply 30April 12, 2011 5:54 PM

I had a friend who smoked the first time and said he saw, "the face of God". Two years later he had lost his apartment, car, friends and job. Wound up in three months of rehab... relapsed on a 5 day crack binge in a sleazy motel with an addicted mother and son...back to rehab...suicide attempt...at this point I finally had to get out of the drama. Last I heard, he was alive but a broken shell of his former self. Good luck!

by Anonymousreply 31April 12, 2011 5:55 PM

Anyone who does it fully deserves everything that comes to them and more.

No sympathy, and DEFINITELY no assistance from me or anyone I know for such trash.

by Anonymousreply 32April 12, 2011 6:02 PM

What the hell? Do you INSTANTLY become insanely addicted like in that funny movie "Reefer Madness?" I mean, can't someone be curious, try it once, like it but KNOW how addictive it is and not go back for more? And how do SOOO many of you know "so many friends/people" whose lives were "ruined by crack?" What kind of TRASH are you posters?

by Anonymousreply 33April 12, 2011 6:09 PM

I want to try it just once.

by Anonymousreply 34April 12, 2011 6:09 PM

Try and stop, dude. It might seem fun now, but a friend of mind started doing it and it was not a good scene, man. He was not trash, but the people he did it with were trash. I met a couple of them once and I was shocked. You could get dragged into a mess with some unsavory characters. Get out now. Cut your losses and stay clean.

by Anonymousreply 35April 12, 2011 6:13 PM

I would never try that shit. When I know something is highly addictive to just about everyone who uses it, I steer clear.

by Anonymousreply 36April 12, 2011 6:17 PM

Bad idea, OP.

But crystal is even worse.

by Anonymousreply 37April 12, 2011 6:17 PM

Is it 1985?

by Anonymousreply 38April 12, 2011 6:18 PM

I can understand being curious about what a drug like crack or meth feels like, but that doesn't mean you have to fucking DO IT!

I'm curious what it'd be like to be an amputee, but I'm not gonna cut off a fuckin' limb to find out!

I'm with R32, people who choose to use dangerous drugs are idiots and get no sympathy or help from me.

by Anonymousreply 39April 12, 2011 6:24 PM

R8

I agree, it's very sad.Oppression is a powerful thing. We see some of the same things occurring in other oppressed communities here in the states and around the world.

by Anonymousreply 40April 12, 2011 6:29 PM

I hate to be judgmental, but it really is a bad idea.

by Anonymousreply 41April 12, 2011 6:31 PM

never mind about the drag queens

by Anonymousreply 42April 12, 2011 6:31 PM
I mean, can't someone be curious, try it once, like it but KNOW how addictive it is and not go back for more?

There are very, very few people on this planet who are able to resist the temptation to try it again. Yes, it is that addictive.
And how do SOOO many of you know "so many friends/people" whose lives were "ruined by crack?" What kind of TRASH are you posters?

That's what happens when you live in a giant city and have a lot of friends. Eventually one/some of them succumb to some kind of drug habit. The shit is fucking everywhere.

by Anonymousreply 43April 12, 2011 6:38 PM

Got extra?

by Anonymousreply 44April 12, 2011 6:42 PM

I don't know any long term social crack smokers.

by Anonymousreply 45April 12, 2011 6:44 PM

Nobody ever has any extra crack, hon. You know that.

by Anonymousreply 46April 12, 2011 6:46 PM

r24 here. As I said, I tried crack and meth a few times. While it didn't have any effect on my life, I wouldn't recommend trying it either. it's just not worth it. Fucks up a lot of people.

by Anonymousreply 47April 12, 2011 6:47 PM

I've always heard that crack cocaine is 100% addictive from that first inhale.

You're a blithering idiot OP, if this is true.

by Anonymousreply 48April 12, 2011 6:49 PM

R36 is on crack.

Lousy poll. I fucking hate drag queens.

by Anonymousreply 49April 12, 2011 6:51 PM

I would liek to dedicated this next to my fa... say what? OP tried crack and is gonna try it again?%0D %0D HEY OP, WHERE DO YOU LIVE, BABY? LETS HANG-OUT OK?

by Anonymousreply 50April 12, 2011 6:53 PM

R45, It's because they stop doing it socially after about 3 months, and then just hole up on a pit.

R49 You are a drag queen on crack.

by Anonymousreply 51April 12, 2011 6:56 PM

I never in a million years thought I would become a crack addict - but I did. Tried it once and could not stop for about 5 months. I did stop and am now four years clean. The first year was pure hell because all I did was think about it - awake, asleep. Everywhere!

by Anonymousreply 52April 12, 2011 6:57 PM

r52, do you have an addictive personality? I mean, what the hell was it ABOUT that high that made you just "have to have more of it?" People are social drinkers, I mean, and like to get buzzed once in awhile but may not drink again for MONTHS. People can smoke pot once in awhile and not be addicted to it.

by Anonymousreply 53April 12, 2011 7:05 PM

I tried it a few years ago and it became my favourite sex drug but the hold it gets on you, the money and the feeling of never catching that first high finally took their toll and I was lucky not to get really hooked on it.

Nasty stuff.

by Anonymousreply 54April 12, 2011 7:05 PM

R53 Pot and crack are two very different drugs. That's like comparing mascara to rouge. Really.

by Anonymousreply 55April 12, 2011 7:08 PM

Super Hans: It's a nice little relaxing smoke of crack!

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 56April 12, 2011 7:09 PM

The high was the best feeling in the world - and made me very horny. But the high is VERY short - barely minutes in duration. Got to keep hitting and it is never as good as the first time. I have not smoked pot in many, many years and really could care less about alcohol. I will drink a couple of bud lites a week.

by Anonymousreply 57April 12, 2011 7:11 PM

Doesn't crack cocaine lead to AssPig Memberships and rosebuds?

by Anonymousreply 58April 12, 2011 7:15 PM

Go to an AA meeting and meet a bunch of late-in-life junkies.

These are guys in their 40s. Just for fun, tie in seroconversion.

If you think your internet addiction is bad, listen to the guy who insists on telling you his favorite drunkologue - renting a motel room with a porn channel, buying a bottle of Jack Daniels, $200 in scratch-off lotto tickets, and a few rocks of cocaine.

It's a boring story, but it comes out of the mouths of so many people and each thinks he/she is unique.

by Anonymousreply 59April 12, 2011 7:18 PM

R58 - You're confused. Meth leads to rosebuds.

by Anonymousreply 60April 12, 2011 7:50 PM

Our president used to do it.

by Anonymousreply 61April 12, 2011 8:00 PM

Rosebud the Sled?

by Anonymousreply 62April 13, 2011 6:52 AM
It could be worse. OP could be spending her money on dolls. Jacqueline Susann or Madame Alexander?

by Anonymousreply 63April 13, 2011 7:11 AM

Bleech. I'll just smoke copious amounts of pot, silly.

Never tried crack never will. I've seen the effects in my family couple of sisters have been ruined and everybody knows the meth epidemic in SF. To me it's like trying to cheat Vegas.

by Anonymousreply 64April 13, 2011 7:40 AM

Crack is whack!

by Anonymousreply 65April 13, 2011 12:01 PM

I've been in 28 day rehab 2 times because I'm an alcoholic. During both stints, some of my fellow rehabbers were crack heads.%0D %0D Most of those guys and gals were white and and solidly middle class suburban types. During group sessions they told their stories of what they were like before they smoked their first rock, and then what happened. %0D %0D Hell does not exist after we die. For an active addict, alcoholic or compulsive gambler, it is now.%0D %0D Op, please do not take another hit of crack. Say to yourself, "Well, now I know what that feels like. I don't have to do it again."%0D %0D

by Anonymousreply 66April 13, 2011 12:35 PM

seek help op.

by Anonymousreply 67April 13, 2011 1:44 PM

I know exactly how op feels/felt--the first time I smoked crack was at a gay campground near Atlanta-best fucking high imaginable-and the sex was just as good-we were still smoking when the sun came up-it may be true that you never reach that first high again, but damn, you can come close. Never done it again. I have done meth some-just as good and lasts much longer. I can see how some people never put down the pipe but some of us can handle it socially-esp. if your job, family and friends mean a lot to you.

by Anonymousreply 68April 20, 2011 8:42 PM
Well, the OP could just be trolling for reactions.

Of course he was.

or 68 is a smart person

by Anonymousreply 71April 20, 2011 9:04 PM

by Anonymousreply 73April 20, 2011 9:24 PM

But the sex on it is smokin' hot. So to speak.

by Anonymousreply 74June 14, 2011 4:55 AM
It's a boring story, but it comes out of the mouths of so many people and each thinks he/she is unique.

And you are comparing your boredom/condemnation of people in an anonymous self-help group as being at least as bad- but probably worse than being an active crack addict, or are you just trying to scare people off from seeking free help? In any case, I should let you go back to strangling kittens, and rifling through your mother's purse for loose change.

by Anonymousreply 75June 14, 2011 5:09 AM

OP wont read this thread since he's already pawned all his electronics.

by Anonymousreply 76June 14, 2011 5:45 AM

Hey, OP -- so tell us, are you homeless yet?

by Anonymousreply 77July 28, 2011 8:18 AM

Wow, your mother must be proud.... or is she too busy selling her vadge out on the corner for another rock herself?

by Anonymousreply 78July 28, 2011 8:24 AM

I really feel bad for OP. I was addicted to cocaine for about a year before my family put me into rehab. I was fortunate enough to get clean, but when I was in rehab I met many people who were there for crack or opiates (oxy/heroin) and they told me it made coke look like a joke. It was enough to scare me into never trying it ever just because it's sooo bad. Bye bye OP.

by Anonymousreply 79July 28, 2011 8:29 AM

OP, you sound exactly like my dumbass heroin addict brother, who used to be a gifted guitarist and a witty, interesting human being. I remember all of his bullshit about heroin being like "champagne". Now, he's fuckihg down and out like you wouldn't believe. wake up before it's too late.

by Anonymousreply 80July 28, 2011 8:42 AM

How the fuck did R36 get a poll in there?!?!?

by Anonymousreply 81July 28, 2011 9:09 AM

Crack and Meth don't compare.

by Anonymousreply 82July 28, 2011 11:58 AM

You must get treatment immediately. Start with an outpatient program and see how it goes.

by Anonymousreply 83July 28, 2011 1:23 PM

Sometimes I feel the need to sniff automatic dishwashing powder.

by Anonymousreply 84October 12, 2011 12:58 AM

So the OP is dead now, right?

by Anonymousreply 85October 12, 2011 1:04 AM

Hi WHitney!

by Anonymousreply 86October 12, 2011 1:09 AM

If these drugs were legal, would the outcome be different?

by Anonymousreply 87October 12, 2011 1:31 AM

There would probably be more crack addicts, R87.

I tried it once. I have an addictive physiology, but I learned from previous experience that coke didn't do much for me. Crack? Meh.

Thank goodness.

by Anonymousreply 88October 12, 2011 2:42 AM

OP, every addict wanted to try their drug of choice just once.

by Anonymousreply 89October 12, 2011 2:50 AM

Stand clear of the crack whore.

by Anonymousreply 90October 12, 2011 3:04 AM

I don't have an addictive personality but I've done crack with a former friend who did. I would suck his cock all night long. It was so wild and hot. I loved every minute of it. Problem was he finally became paranoid and he would just piss me off seeing police and covering his windows. So I just quit and tried to get him help. Glad to say he finally beat it but I still don't understand addictive personality. I smoked it lots and walked away.

by Anonymousreply 91January 19, 2013 4:07 AM

Come on. Would someone who just smoked crack last night be posting?

It's a troll.

by Anonymousreply 92January 19, 2013 4:08 AM
The gay community needs to face facts, crack and meth are not helping our community, or any other community.

Agreed. Meth/crack are the worst thing that has happened to this community. Small towns and communities are destroyed by the meth trade.

Fuck you OP for even joking about it and Fuck anyone who thinks it's funny. This shit is killing so many of us slowly.

by Anonymousreply 93January 19, 2013 4:17 AM

Unfair, R68, implying that people who get addicted to drugs don't care about their families and friends. Unfair.

by Anonymousreply 94January 19, 2013 4:21 AM

Stupid OP.

by Anonymousreply 95January 19, 2013 4:35 AM
Unfair, [R68], implying that people who get addicted to drugs don't care about their families and friends. Unfair.

People who do drugs only think of themselves to get high, and not care for the people who worry about them.

by Anonymousreply 96January 19, 2013 4:38 AM

I've smoked crack. However, most of the people I've smoked with quickly never really enjoyed it and lost their lives because of it.

Many even said they could no longer get high enough from it but kept spending money to get that high. They would even say this *while* they were smoking.

R91 describes the eventual paranoia exactly. This ALWAYS happens: Do a hit then look for the police to come through the door, look out the window, look through the peephole in the hotel room door. Lay down on the hotel room carpet looking for feet outside the hotel room door. It's truly evil. They're not even enjoying it while they're doing it.

by Anonymousreply 97January 19, 2013 4:39 AM

So many people use drugs today that it is epidemic!! They'll find anything to eat, snort, inject, inhale just to get high. Why?

They kill their brain cells then some psychiatrist has to come up with a diagnosis for mental illness.

I saw a schizophrenic person and the receptionist said she knew him in his younger days when he was smart and handsome. You surely wouldn't know it looking at him today with his regular trips to mental healh.

by Anonymousreply 98January 19, 2013 4:49 AM

yes, any questions?

by Anonymousreply 99January 19, 2013 4:51 AM

I know this is an old thread but worth responding to. This is an evil, evil drug and hope no one picks it up.

Whenever I watch the "Back to Black" video, I've seen someone walking down those same stairs in an old house to check for police while they were paranoid on crack. Truly. I figure she was already channelling her death in that video from crack, although she died of something else. It has a feel to it that is very, very familiar.

Yea, I know you might think "Mary!" but it really is true.

by Anonymousreply 100January 19, 2013 5:04 AM

I've never told this story to anyone.. In a nutshell, I got addicted to it and started giving shit to my dealer to pay for it (when I didn't have cash).. You see, OP, when you are addicted to crack, your cash depletes very fast.

I had a special necklace my mom gave me (for my 16th birthday) and I gave it to him. I also "borrowed" my brother's prized guitar and gave that to him as well. Looking back, I can't believe it.

Anyway, one day I went over to the crack house and saw one of the dirty, nasty crack whores wearing my necklace. I fucking lost it. She wouldn't give it to me, and of course I didn't have any money to get it back. I never did get it back, and the thought of that trash wearing the necklace my mom so thoughtfully picked out for me made me sick. That was it. I never did it again .

That's what it took to realize how fucked up I was. That image is *still* burned into my brain, 20 years later, and it still makes me queasy thinking about it.

by Anonymousreply 101January 19, 2013 5:21 AM

A long time ago my roommate and her partner came into my room and offered me their pipe. I graciously accepted it thinking it was pot. I found out the next day that they were smoking crack. Thank God there was only ash left in their pipe.

That moment could have totally trashed my life. It's now 26 years later and my partner of 25 years and I are retiring in 4 months.

by Anonymousreply 102January 19, 2013 5:22 AM

R101, it takes a long time to get over the "how's" and "why's" of what we did back then. I have many regrets as well. No excuses but many reasons and I'm glad you were able to walk away from it.

by Anonymousreply 103January 19, 2013 5:45 AM

Crack had a grip on me for about 5 years. I would do it as often as I could and loved it during sex. I had a buddy who would get between my legs and suck my cock all night long while we smoked. The best feeling was when I would take a hit and my buddy sucked me at the same time. I don't know how many hours, days and nights we did that, or how much money I paid for all that crack. But, I was one of the lucky ones. One day, something in my brain said, "no more" and I stopped. Just like that. It's been three years since I smoked crack, and miraculously, I have no cravings or thoughts about it. But I know I am an addict.

Anyone who is tempted to try crack - please just walk away from it. Most people are not as lucky as I was and that shit ruins lives. And worse yet is that the people who love you suffer as much, if not more than you do.

by Anonymousreply 104January 19, 2013 6:27 AM

Goodness, you are all such trash. What sort of person would even try such a classless, horrid thing? Ugh.

by Anonymousreply 105January 19, 2013 6:30 AM

I use it to spike a little after I shoot up. Usually I follow it with a meth cocktail, but my mom keeps saying my socks stink so I'll probly go back to hash because she thinks thats clove blunts. Cuz if I dont do something I just pass out from the h and speed aint good for my acne. But crack is nice. Jus two short a hi.

by Anonymousreply 106January 19, 2013 7:46 AM

One weekend, I gave a big-dicked crackhead neighbor endless blowjobs while he smoked rock in my living room. Never tried the drug, just the big fat semi-hard dick attached to the rockhead. I understand that makes me sadder than a drug addict, and I'd still probably suck you.

by Anonymousreply 107January 19, 2013 8:18 AM

The thing about meth which most people don't know, and which should be widely publicised, is that unlike heroin, which you can be on forever if you keep your nutrition up, meth causes catastrophic damage to the blood vessels and arteries, including creating micro lesions. That's why meth users die of strokes and heart attacks. That's how the addition usually ends.

Of course, if they're gay, they always seroconvert, and the combination of not paying attention to nutrition and their hiv meds, means that AIDS often takes them before the stroke does. Any by stroke I don't mean mid-50s stroke: I mean mid-30s stroke or even earlier.

Meth in the gay community is like a 2nd plague. There's so many pinched faced boys around now it's alarming.

by Anonymousreply 108January 19, 2013 10:45 AM

Why are/can the only meth users I know be so fat? I thought meth users only ate meth.

by Anonymousreply 109January 19, 2013 10:49 AM

I just don't understand why people even try drugs. Never appealed to me at all.

by Anonymousreply 110January 19, 2013 12:07 PM

Exactly, r110. I have no idea what would possibly possess a person to do such a thing, but I can tell you I certainly have no use for such people. It's best that they all die, frankly. Take out the trash, as it were!

by Anonymousreply 111January 19, 2013 6:00 PM
A GOOD person who has societal value.

3 Oh Dears for r114

by Anonymousreply 115February 19, 2014 10:46 AM

Oh those were the days. All the stories above are just the tip of the iceberg of crazy that accompanies smoking crack. It is an intense trap. Some touch down for a few fun evenings and escape unscathed, wondering what the big deal is. Others never really surface again as their lives become consumed with that life. Yes, the sex is fucking molten hot,. That's what the mouth feels like that is sucking your cock as you take those first hits, especially at the start of the party or whenever you arrive in that dark apartment filled with naked smokers. Few can keep their pants up and on after that first hit. Long time partiers count on it. But that changes into just a bunch of addicts sitting around naked, getting high together and wondering who is stealing from whom. There is ultimately no escaping the paranoia. There is never an easy way to end the party two days later and after a time - weeks, months, maybe years - you'll turn around and wonder how you ever met these people in the heavily curtained dark room you are smoking and somewhat fucking with. It's an intense secret circle of users; some homeless, some weekend warriors, some turning their apartments into party spots to support their habits, some very hot, others ridiculously desperate and then the inevitable trolls, probably once hot, allowed to play because they provide the cash and drugs. It's a hot, dangerous mix that somehow I slipped out of after many a close call. And while I am very grateful all these years later, the memory remains inciting.

Shit, the first time I did coke, I was hooked. $6,000 later, I stopped. Crack has to be 100 times as good as coke is. Why play with matches when you're soaked in gasoline?

by Anonymousreply 117June 13, 2015 9:00 PM

Heres a story. I've been sober 19 years, so this must have happened 20 years ago.

I got to know a local guy, kind of a character. Chemical engineer, and is a fairly well-known (in certain circles) author of subversive material. We got drunk one night and he suggested that we fool around. We did and during the course of the evening, we smoked something he had manufactured. I guess I'm stupid but I honestly don't know if it was crack or meth. I remember that the sex was pretty great. I also remember going to bed after that and thinking that "Well, that was fun but I'l never do that again." And I haven't.

LOL, maybe someone can tell me what it was I smoked?

by Anonymousreply 118June 14, 2015 8:31 AM

Freebase. Homemade crack. He cooked up the coke in water with some baking soda. Smoked in a glass pipe, yes. Ever see him again? Still a local character?

by Anonymousreply 119June 14, 2015 3:11 PM

Many long-time addicts have enablers. Many of them are a parent(s). Others are grandparents, siblings, off-spring, and former friends. They think they are helping addicts by giving them cash, paying their bills, giving them some job, transportation, food, and shelter. Parents can feel guilty or in denial their son or daughter turned out this way. They think by rendering the addict material things, the addict can get his/her life back in order. And addicts can give huge sob stories--mostly lies about the reason. Addicts can damage lives well beyond their own.

I have two younger relatives that are addicts and refuse to have anything to do them. Addicts are manipulative and deceptive, and shall go to any means to get their fix. I told both relatives years back I would help them ONLY for establishing treatment for the addiction, i. e. therapy and rehab, and full confirmation they are participating. Of course they are not accepting of that.

by Anonymousreply 120June 14, 2015 4:16 PM

Yes, R119, he is still around. I run into him occasionally. He is still a character.

by Anonymousreply 121June 15, 2015 1:39 AM

Still going strong 20 years later. Some people are insanely resilient. And the others lose it all and die.

by Anonymousreply 122June 15, 2015 3:15 AM

The OP describes the exact feeling I had when I first tried... Tiramisu!

by Anonymousreply 123June 15, 2015 3:44 AM

Back in college I smoked a ton of pot, tried amphetamines and even did some coke. NEVER did anything stronger but I also don't have an addictive personality. I love the feeling that opiates like oxycontin and percocet give whenever I take them (as prescribed for things like tooth or muscle aches, not street bought). But after a day or two on them I am ready to stop. I have no desire to try crack or meth but I DO wonder if someone who does not have an addictive personality would still become "Reefer Madness" addicted just from trying it once. I mean, there has never been a drug that I have not thought "Wow, that was great but I no more" if I wanted to stop. What the hell is it about crack or meth that grabs ahold and makes you become a zombie and ruin your life? Don't addicts already HAVE a bazillion mental problems that brought them to the drugs in the first place? I mean, they use drugs to numb the pain in their lives (like the songs say) and it is so easy for them to become addicted?

by Anonymousreply 124June 15, 2015 4:03 AM

coke bump

by Anonymousreply 125March 17, 2019 7:24 AM

I wish I could smoke a little but it would probably kill me. But if only I could fill great for a half hour or so...

by Anonymousreply 126March 17, 2019 7:34 AM

don't, u wind up with emphasyma,,,,,,trust me

by Anonymousreply 127March 17, 2019 7:41 AM

While I do not endorse smoking crack, I’ve smoked it and freebased cocaine and crack is the lesser of two evils. Mixing cocaine and baking soda doesn’t add to the high, it just stretches out the active ingredient so that more profit can be made. Crack, while a noxious drug, only had the onus it does because it’s a poor person’s drug. Freebasing coke or crystal meth is a much more noxious pastime and should be avoided like the plague.

by Anonymousreply 128March 17, 2019 8:23 AM

Why can't people just stick to weed?

by Anonymousreply 129March 17, 2019 8:46 AM

There will be tears.

by Anonymousreply 130March 17, 2019 8:55 AM

Is “addictive personality” really the right term? Shouldn’t it be “addictive physiology”?

by Anonymousreply 131March 17, 2019 9:20 AM

Stupid decision OP. Years ago I had a warehouse worker we provided 3 months of in-patient treatment for due to crack cocaine. When he came to us to ask for help I asked him how long it took him to become addicted and he said "5 minutes after my first hit".

So remember that.

by Anonymousreply 132March 17, 2019 10:41 AM

I smoked crack cocaine about 25 years ago. Life was not kind to me and I just didn't care. Smoked with a friend for about a week or so. To be honest, it was the greatest sensation I had ever experienced. Then I stopped, just like that. Never tried it again. I was very lucky not to become addicted.

by Anonymousreply 133March 17, 2019 11:28 AM

Can you describe the feeling to me R133 ? I'm an eventual pot smoker and took ecstasy once when I was a teen and hated it. Thanks.

by Anonymousreply 134March 17, 2019 1:19 PM

Crack is WHACK and Meth is DEATH! Leave that shit alone! Don't get caught in the downward spiral. Illicit sex coupled with illicit drug use will kick your ass sooner or later. Just say no! And them them that I said so!

by Anonymousreply 135March 17, 2019 3:44 PM

OP you must be poor! You know rich people do coke?

by Anonymousreply 136March 17, 2019 3:47 PM

R129 because it’s not nearly as good as the other stuff.

by Anonymousreply 137March 17, 2019 3:48 PM

I tried Heroin (smoking) for the first time two nights ago. One of the dumber things I've done in my life. The paranoia and shivers it gave me were nerve wracking. Horrible night.

by Anonymousreply 138March 17, 2019 4:36 PM

The only crack I like, I get from beefy plumbers and cable guys.

by Anonymousreply 139March 17, 2019 4:50 PM

I tried it on a half dozen occasions in my 20's, never got addicted but if I had to do all over I wouldn't have done it. There was a point where I felt if I didn't stop messing with all the drugs I would never stop, so I quit everything cold turkey and dropped some friends.

by Anonymousreply 140March 17, 2019 5:03 PM

I smoked it years ago. Unbelievable high. I can still feel the hit and the rush. And then immediate horniness that won’t quit—your cock needs attention immediately, your asshole even more so.

It is an insidious drug, but there were some very very hot nites getting fucked and riding dildos with a bunch of partying guys.

by Anonymousreply 141April 8, 2019 6:36 AM

There are a TON of guys on grindr who have the 'diamond' symbol, which I've been told means drugs--I assume crystal meth? Guys also use the capital T in their profiles to signify Tina.....why are so many young guys doing these hard drugs? I don't get it. After the devastation of so many.

by Anonymousreply 142April 8, 2019 7:16 AM

I bet OP is dead by now.

by Anonymousreply 143April 8, 2019 7:40 AM
—Can I have his things?

All of his things are probably jam-packed inside of a shopping cart somewhere.

by Anonymousreply 144April 8, 2019 7:45 AM

I tried meth once during an unplanned sexual encounter. We played for 6 fucking hours with one break and then another 6 hours. It keeps you really horny but you cant get your dick hard enough to jerk off. I never tried it again, and that was 20 years ago so I think that's proof you don't always get hooked on the first try. But that said, I still remember the experience very well and know if I had easy access to it with a partner it would be really hard for it not to turn into a habit or addiction.

by Anonymousreply 145April 8, 2019 8:25 AM

It's a given that illicit drug use coincides with illicit sex, especially where the cheaper amphetamines are concerned. Interesting - your shared experience, R141. Tell me, does snorting powder cocaine produce the same sexual response as crack cocaine? Anyone else?

by Anonymousreply 146April 8, 2019 7:57 PM

Totally different high/sexual response then powder cocaine.

by Anonymousreply 147April 9, 2019 3:32 AM

What’s the difference between crack and crack cocaine and cocaine and herion?

by Anonymousreply 148April 9, 2019 5:20 AM

Every person I've ever seen on crack, from the first timer to the toothless crackhead, had sex as the last thing on their minds. The first thing being, "where can I get more crack." The crack high is so good, it makes sex seem like shit.

Guys on cocaine make horrible sex partners. They act so weird and talk more than have sex. Men on meth are more sex-focused.

Does crack make you act like coke?
