Melrose Place was a product of the 1990's, and was very anchored in that time period. It also had a great cast that couldn't be replicated. I think it was naive to try to do it again, so I'm not surprised the new one only lasted a year.

Ugh the new Melrose Place had so much potential but whoever was running the thing must have never watched the original. The storylines were tame ( think the first season of the original before Amanda showed up), and they ruined all of the original characters. They killed off Sidney in the first scene, made Amsnda pathetic and weak instead of cutthroat, Jane was a bitter twit, and Michael was creepy, having none of the smarmy charm from the original series. I actually liked the new cast ( Michael Rady is a god ), but the writing was just so dull. What a waste.

The new 90210 is not the greatest either. It has had some success, but just as with the new Melrose, its stars will never reach the level of fame as the originals.

I've never seen anything to indicate that he could possibly be straight or even bi.

When I saw the cover, I thought Victor was coming out publicly. Alas, no such story. Turns out the model's name is Frank Mentier.

I think we had this discussion once before and discovered that it was a mixup. There's never been any mention of those two together as far as I know other than on that one photo.
