Happy Birthday to Shirley MacLaine

[quote]Happy, happy birthday to Shirley MacLaine, seen here wearing a #frockingFabulous #EdithHead creation in 1964’s What a Way to Go... with bonus Gene Kelly. I love this film, and not only because Dino is in it!

I had never heard of the movie "What a Way to Go" until today, but given the cast, now I'd like to watch it.

The first thing I saw her in was Steel Magnolias. I guess I forgot she was young once.

The second thing I saw her in was The Trouble With Harry, but her character was modestly dressed.

Anyone who has seen this can chime in and recommend other films from her early days.

R1 please don’t type stoopid. Not a good look—you didn’t forget —you’re just lame.

R5, I was 12 or 13 when Steel Magnolias came out, aside from the Hitchcock film I saw more than a decade later, I only know her as an older woman

Shirley’s getup reminds me of a plush pink 1964-era bathroom.
