Treason Thread #67: Beware the Ides of Treason

Dump is traveling through the empty rooms of Mar a Lago with a retinue of deplorables. A Soothsayer calls out to Dump; Dump stops and listens.

Soothsayer: Beware the Ides of March!

Dump: It will be YUGE! What's that long, sharp thing in your hand???

And scene.

Previous thread below. Thanks R554 from the previous thread for the title!!

Remember “Diamond & Silk”? Silk is still living. MyPillow guy, Mike Lindell, funded them, is still promoting the name; and Lara Trump interviewed them on Fox News until the network canned them for promoting misinformation.

Silk is still around, being dusted off, and ready to advocate for Trump ‘24 and the MAGAs.

Do the Republicans still think the throwback to Silk, Rochelle Richardson, will bring the black folks to Trump?

She speaks of “the devil” who she claims are Biden and other Democrats.

Rumble Streamer, Nick Fuentes, a 25 year old, is a Lauren Boebert favorite.

[quote] Fuentes claims the Holocaust was “exaggerated” and that history lessons about World War II are designed to “engender in people a profound sympathy for Jews.” Then, citing the dangerous myth that Jewish people are all-powerful, Fuentes says, “They run the major talent, all the major talent agencies in Hollywood. They run all the major record labels. They run all the major Hollywood studios. They run the most wealthy hedge funds.” In reference to gas chambers used to murder Jewish people during the Holocaust, Fuentes comments, “I don't know if I buy that.”

by Anonymousreply 10March 13, 2024 6:50 PM

Nick Fuentes is essentially a Nazi. All the people playing footsie with him and his movement are letting us know that the Republican Party these days is totally fine with neo-Nazis and are tired of pretending they're not.

by Anonymousreply 11March 13, 2024 7:07 PM

The Republican Party sends out actual Nazis to enforce their social agenda; busting up drag shows, blocking Disney World, shooting up gay bars. Whatever evil they are pushing, they are using actual Nazis to enforce it.

The entire Republican Party is a Nazi organization. Even those who don’t actually get their hands dirty.

[quote] South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham (R) criticized Georgia Judge Scott McAfee’s “nonsensical” ruling not to disqualify Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (D) for once having a romantic relationship with a prosecutor she appointed to the case against former President Trump. Graham said “politics” is hanging over the election interference case against Trump and his allies, and McAfee’s decision “reinforces” the narrative of a “two-tiered” justice system going after the defendants.

The Hill fails to mention Graham is an unindicted co-conspirator in the Georgia case. He tried every legal maneuver he could to avoid complying with a subpoena. Once he did testify, word is he threw Trump under the bus to avoid being indicted himself. He denies giving unfavorable information about Trump.

by Anonymousreply 95March 17, 2024 3:22 PM

by Anonymousreply 96March 17, 2024 3:30 PM

by Anonymousreply 97March 17, 2024 3:46 PM

Trump absorbing the RNC is just like him reestablishing the Trump Foundation.

by Anonymousreply 99March 17, 2024 4:02 PM

Not just the complete alienation of other R candidates, R96 - But there's not going to be any money for down-ballot R candidates. People who would normally rely on the RNC's national money will have to turn to their individual state's party. And we all know that many of those state parties have diddly-squat in their bank accounts.

by Anonymousreply 133March 18, 2024 11:48 PM

Please, I beg you, start paying attention to your local news. Pay attention to how they report the news, what they report or don’t report, what they leave out/put in, the words they use. I’ve told you all one of my local news stations, not owned by an obvious RW company, started aggressively reporting crime/inflation in January’22. They’d show charts showing the raw numbers for crime comparing them to ‘19. It was relentless. Then they stopped showing the graphs/charts. I later found out because the raw numbers were dropping. They switched to showing as much crime and inflation as they could. Story after story. Of course the BORDER CRISIS was thrown in.

Then the midterms came.

The day after they went a whole hour that I watched without showing one crime or one inflation story. Not one. It’s very odd for a local news station to not show a crime story, but they didn’t. Poof. Stories gone.

They’ve ratcheted back up now, of course. They really started back slowly after the midterms. Keep an eye on them. Call them out on social media.

Also, be prepared for companies to price gouge close to the election (inflation) and gas to suddenly surge due to some out of the blue emergency. Watch things closely. Notice any language cues from journalists (they’ll give it away ahead of time) about what might be the plan.

Russia, the Saudis, Turkey, China, world billionaires, all want the USA to lose our democracy. Once we fall, EU will rapidly fall.

I think Biden will win handily, but they will not make this easy.

You can tell I just got off a call with a few DC friends.

by Anonymousreply 134March 19, 2024 12:13 AM

LOVE you FCI!

Tell your friends we are watching and we are voting!

Also, tell them to lean into Biden to dismiss Garland already.

by Anonymousreply 135March 19, 2024 12:15 AM

FCI - part of this is because local stations have stoped reporting real, intensive, news (budgets are too tight for that). It’s much cheaper to simply report on a horse race - as if elections were just another game.

They ignore the fact that sporting matches generally only determine whether a handfull of players and owners make bank.

Elections determine whether hundreds of millions of citizen’s’ daily lives are going to be bettered or battered.

by Anonymousreply 136March 19, 2024 12:55 AM

Stefanie Lambert, a Michigan lawyer who has championed dubious claims of election fraud, was arrested in Washington, D.C., Monday afternoon because of a bench warrant, according to a spokesman for the U.S. Marshals Service.

The arrest ended an 11-day saga of uncertainty that played out after Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Jeffery Matis issued a warrant because Lambert failed to appear for a hearing related to four felony charges she's facing in Michigan.

Lambert, who's gained prominence among supporters of former President Donald Trump, refused to turn herself in and attempted to challenge the warrant in court filings. On Wednesday, Matis called on the attorney from South Lyon "to comply with that warrant."

Trump's campaign team is quietly vexed about the lack of the smaller donors that buoyed the former president to the White House back in 2016, according to a CNBC report that cites members of Trump's inner sanctum.

Trump’s campaign reported raising just $3 million from small-dollar donors in January this year — those that give $200 or less, the outlet reported citing OpenSecrets. For 2023, Trump’s reelection campaign reports raising 62.5% less money from small-dollar donors than it did in 2019.

by Anonymousreply 142March 19, 2024 3:32 AM

Legal people are saying he probably won't, but let's see. This is fucking crazy.

by Anonymousreply 143March 19, 2024 4:17 AM

Smith is working for Merrick Garland who is probably advising Judge Cannon to pull these shenanigans so Trunp will get off the hook with his legal troubles.

by Anonymousreply 144March 19, 2024 4:23 AM

Biden needs to terminate Garland. It won’t look good, but Garland with his closeted MAGA behavior, is beyond disturbing. Garland delays and avoids. A Trumpian tactic.

by Anonymousreply 145March 19, 2024 9:33 AM

Garland is not maga and he’s not pulling strings to help Trump. He’s just overly cautious and has not done his job well. It is that simple.

by Anonymousreply 146March 19, 2024 11:00 AM

Joyce Vance on Judge Cannon's order:

"Although the order is only two pages, it's perplexing.

It's two page of crazy stemming from the Judge's apparent inability to tell Trump no when it comes to his argument that he turned the nation's secrets into his personal records by designating them as such under the Presidential Records Act.

The assumptions in Judge Cannon's two scenarios virtually direct the jury to find Trump not guilty."

by Anonymousreply 147March 19, 2024 11:31 AM

Smith needs to go over Cannon but Garland would not like that.

by Anonymousreply 148March 19, 2024 11:57 AM

Smith is special counsel. He doesn't need Garland's approval to take this case out of Cannon's court.

Trump sues ABC.

NYT: Former President Donald J. Trump filed a defamation lawsuit against ABC News on Monday, arguing that the anchor George Stephanopoulos had harmed his reputation by saying multiple times on-air that Mr. Trump had been found liable for raping the writer E. Jean Carroll.

A jury in a Manhattan civil case last year found Mr. Trump liable for sexually abusing and defaming Ms. Carroll, but did not find the former president liable for rape

The judge, however, later clarified that because of New York’s narrow legal definition of “rape,” the jury’s finding did not mean that Ms. Carroll “failed to prove that Mr. Trump ‘raped’ her as many people commonly understand the word ‘rape.’”

by Anonymousreply 150March 19, 2024 1:30 PM

Oh, that is fucking RICH. What an asshole.

by Anonymousreply 151March 19, 2024 2:46 PM

It wasn't rape! It was sexual assault! DUH!!!

by Anonymousreply 152March 19, 2024 4:27 PM

This is hilarious because it will lead to an official determination of Trump as rapist and if unsolicited Digital Rape is actually Object Rape and RAPE-RAPE. I think that E. Jean Carroll needs to sue the State of NY to invalidate ALL of Trump's NDA CONTRACTS.

Trump has been forbidden to do business in NY as a result of being a fraudster and illegal business activities. Time to see the CRIMES he hides behind NY NDA CONTRACTS.

All the catch and kill NDAs are in the Pecker Files and those files are held by SC Smith. Or is it NYDA James.

Giving the "old guy" more opportunities to level the playing field and bring in new and diverse voices may save us...if we let him.

[bold]Jared Kushner says Gaza’s ‘waterfront property could be very valuable’[/bold]

Jared Kushner has praised the “very valuable” potential of Gaza’s “waterfront property” and suggested Israel should remove civilians while it “cleans up” the strip.

The former property dealer, married to Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka, made the comments in an interview at Harvard University on 8 March.

Kushner was a senior foreign policy adviser under Trump’s presidency and was tasked with preparing a peace plan for the Middle East. Critics of the plan, which involved Israel striking normalisation deals with Gulf states, said it bypassed questions about the future for Palestinians.

His remarks at Harvard gave a hint of the kind of Middle East policy that could be pursued in the event that Trump returns to the White House, including a search for a normalisation deal between Saudi Arabia and Israel...

There are those informal lines of communication. While Merrick pursed the lower level rioters engaging in violence, what he has done to prosecute the planners and organizers have been delayed and shallow. He appears to be an elitist, showing deference to the insurrection big shots, particularly those in political roles. Ginni Thomas, for example, is not a goddess. Garland speaks about justice for all, equality, human rights, fighting discrimination; yet the exceptions in the privileged political sphere are obvious. DoJ is going after Menendez. That one cannot be ignored because of how blatant and repeatedly the alleged crimes stand-out.

Ronna McDaniel was behind the deceptive scheme during the Census period to send out questionnaires that looked liked the census forms but were intended to solicit extensive and very personal information from respondents. They were mailed ahead of the real census forms. The RNC was the source for return, but even the return address was deceptive. Thousands and thousands of people were deceived, particularly the elderly and other unsuspecting recipients of the forms.

The RNC really needed to be prosecuted for that. That was not the only dishonest and unethical undertaking the RNC initiated.

The RNC is just swapping crooks in leadership.

NBC hiring Ronna is disgusting.

[bold]Fact check: Trump tells ‘mind-bogglingly nonsensical’ story about the New York Stock Exchange[/bold]

Former President Donald Trump told a story on Monday in which he claimed that he decided not to list the Trump Media & Technology Group on the New York Stock Exchange, even though the exchange “badly” wanted the company, because businesspeople are “treated too badly in New York” and “don’t want to be attacked by a thug like this horrible attorney general that we have in New York.”

There is one problem. The story does not make any sense.

Facts First: The stock exchange on which the Trump Media & Technology Group is being listed, the Nasdaq, is also headquartered in New York. In fact, the Nasdaq and the New York Stock Exchange are located in the same New York City borough of Manhattan. In other words, all of the New York laws and political oversight that would have applied to the company if it was listed on the NYSE will apply to the company when it is listed on the Nasdaq...

All he can do is to double down, triple down, on the insane slurs. You don't obsessively refer to your opponent as crooked and a thug, or pass on an image of the President tied up and prone, if you're a confident campaigner.

As Biden maintains his dignified managerial demeanour, complete with clever subtle barbs about his 'predecessor', Trump will dig his ugly hole yet deeper - and give the Dems yet more material. On which basis, cautious grounds for optimism.

The Democrats better make hay out of this:

"If Donald Trump returns to the White House, close allies want to dramatically change the government’s interpretation of Civil Rights-era laws to focus on 'anti-white racism' rather than discrimination against people of color. Trump’s Justice Department would push to eliminate or upend programs in government and corporate America that are designed to counter racism that has favored whites.

Longtime aides and allies preparing for a potential second Trump administration have been laying legal groundwork with a flurry of lawsuits and legal complaints — some of which have been successful. A central vehicle for the effort has been America First Legal, founded by former Trump aide Stephen Miller, who has called the group conservatives’ '“long-awaited answer to the ACLU.'

Short answer: his parents (and grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.) were all working as hard as they possibly could to make the world a better place. Mueller’s report to a large extent subdued the Russian-Trump connect. Barr went further in diminishing it to almost nothing. Russian assets in Congress are revealing themselves. This is the major reason funding to support Ukraine has dried.

R370 This is my theory. and I have zero references to back it up,. The U.S. is using their own unique, sophisticated, and undisclosed technological means for counter surveillance, targeting foreign individuals and other non-direct human methods to penetrate adversarial governments and groups therein.

Why Antony Blinken and Jake Sullivan are not publicly commenting, and that the earlier government assessment of “no evidence”, being contrary to new revelations, is indeed puzzling.,

[bold]Trump sues two Trump Media co-founders, seeking to void their stock in the company[/bold]

Donald Trump is suing two co-founders of Trump Media & Technology Group, the newly public parent company of his Truth Social platform, arguing that they should forfeit their stock in the company because they set it up improperly.

The former U.S. president’s lawsuit, which was filed on March 24 in Florida state court, follows a complaint filed in February by those co-founders, Andy Litinsky and Wes Moss. Their lawsuit sought to prevent Trump from taking steps the two said would sharply reduce their combined 8.6% stake in Trump Media. The pair filed their lawsuit in the Delaware Court of Chancery.

Trump’s lawsuit claims that Litinsky and Moss, who were both contestants on Trump’s reality-TV show “The Apprentice,” mishandled an attempt to take Trump Media public several years ago, allegedly putting the whole project “on ice” for more than a year and a half.

But it also targets the pair over their Delaware suit against Trump, saying that it was one of several attempts they made to block Trump Media’s ultimately successful plan to go public. Trump Media accomplished that goal by merging with a publicly traded shell company called Digital World Acquisition in March.

Trump Media shares have fluctuated wildly since its stock market debut. On Tuesday, the stock closed at $51.60, up 6%, valuing the entire company at $5.9 billion.

In an open display of frustration, federal prosecutors on Tuesday night told the judge overseeing former President Donald J. Trump’s classified documents case that a “fundamentally flawed” order she had issued was causing delays and asked her to quickly resolve a critical dispute about one of Mr. Trump’s defenses — leaving them time to appeal if needed.

The unusual and risky move by the prosecutors, contained in a 24-page filing, signaled their mounting impatience with the judge, Aileen M. Cannon, who has allowed the case to become bogged down in a logjam of unresolved issues and curious procedural requests.

by Anonymousreply 405April 3, 2024 5:58 PM

I was going to ask the same thing R405. Trump seems to have no problem asking for recusal of a judge or the DA. A quick search returned the response below.

[quote]Although it is rare, you can actually get a new judge for a case once it has begun, but you have to be able to prove that the judge cannot effectively preside. Normally, in such circumstances, the judge will recuse themselves before it becomes an issue, but just in case they don’t, here are some criteria you can use to argue for a new judge:

The current judge, as an attorney in a previous case, represented your opponent

The judge has close ties (whether familial or not) to either party

The judge has some financial interest in the case’s outcome

The judge has strong political affiliations with either party

[bold]Trump to be deposed in dispute with media company co-founders[/bold]

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is scheduled to be deposed later this month by lawyers for co-founders of his social media company as part of a dispute over ownership in Trump Media & Technology Group which went public last week.

A notice filed with Delaware’s Court of Chancery, where the co-founders sued Trump Media, said the deposition is scheduled for April 15 at 10 am ET in New York, which is also the scheduled start of Trump’s first criminal trial.

Depositions often get rescheduled.

Trump campaign spokespersons did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The notice of deposition did not specify the questions and Christopher Clark, an attorney for the co-founders, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Trump Media, which owns the Truth Social messaging platform, was sued in February by Andy Litinsky and Wes Moss, two former contestants on Trump’s reality TV show The Apprentice. They said in 2021 they were pledged 8.6% of pre-merger Trump Media stock for helping to launch the company.

The co-founders accused Trump Media of denying them their stake, which they own through their United Atlantic Ventures partnership, by trying to dilute their stock and by preventing them from selling it...

[bold]Biden campaign announces pulling in $90M in March[/bold]

President Joe Biden’s campaign said it raised $90 million in March, a sum that’s likely to grow the president’s significant financial edge over former President Donald Trump.

The Biden campaign said it had $192 million in cash on hand, a total that includes funds from the campaign, the Democratic National Committee and related joint fundraising committees. It’s the largest war chest amassed by any Democratic presidential candidate at this point in the cycle, according to a Biden campaign memo announcing the totals on Saturday. Aides released the total ahead of the monthly Federal Elections Commission filing deadline later this month.

Biden’s monthly totals come on the same day as Trump is holding his own major fundraiser. The former president’s campaign said they expect to raise more than $43 million at a one-night event in Palm Beach, Florida. Saturday’s Trump fundraiser aims to top the “three presidents” extravaganza in New York City last week, when Biden, joined by former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, hauled in more than $26 million on a star-studded night.

Biden’s financial edge has remained a bright spot for the president, who continues to struggle with stubbornly low approval ratings and trails Trump narrowly in national polling averages.

Biden and the DNC ended February with more than double the cash-on-hand that Trump and the RNC had. Trump has failed to match his 2020 fundraising totals, and he’s also diverted millions of dollars to help pay his legal fees...

Trump whining again on Truth Social this morning:

"On Monday I will be forced to sit, GAGGED, before a HIGHLY CONFLICTED & CORRUPT JUDGE, whose hatred for me has no bounds.

All of these New York and D.C. “Judges” and Prosecutors have the same MINDSET. Nobody but this Soros Prosecutor, Alvin Bragg, wanted to take this ridiculous case.

All legal scholars say it is a sham. BIDEN’S DOJ IS RUNNING THE CASE. Just think of it, these animals want to put the former President of the United States (who got more votes than any sitting President!), & the PARTY’S REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE, IN JAIL, for doing absolutely nothing wrong. It is a RUSH TO THE FINISH. SO UNFAIR!"

He tried in 2020, but is better set-up for 2024. Look for backup and lateness in voters receiving their ballots. There will be missing/lost ballots in metro Democratic strongholds.
