Most people see the hellish destruction unleashed on women and children by Israel as equivalent to a genocide. Israel could not maintain moral high ground with their response and they clearly don’t care to. All they want is to destroy the Gaza Strip so that its people live in a permanent ghetto, or abandon it. I am sorry this is leading to an increase in antisemitism but this was predictable. This was Iran’s goal in spurning the attacks. Make everyone hate Israel and delegitimize Israel’s right to exist, which is largely based on the Holocaust. If people see Israelis acting like the Wertmacht, then why should we continue to find the Holocaust as one of the most despicable acts in history. The Holocaust wasn’t horrible because it happened to just Jewish people (it did not.) The Holocaust happened because it happened to human beings. It was horrible because it happened to people who couldn’t defend themselves from superior tools of war, to people trapped in a political cage. It was horrible because it was used to scapegoat an “other” simply because the majority couldn’t justify its failings were its failings. Germany lost WWI. Israel failed to prevent the October 7 attacks.

There are a lot of college kids who just want the killing to stop. Many are going overboard by pretending that Hamas is awesome, that Israel is pure evil, that occupying Google headquarters is accomplishing jackshit. But in the end, they are just young and often fairly stupid and often just performing for each other and playing wordgames with each other. But that doesn't actually make them tools of Iran or terrorism or anything other than young, fairly silly kids that have decided that the killing should stop and nothing else matters.

And at this point, it's obvious Israel has no plan. They are clearly just dicking around, blowing shit up, killing people here and there, without having the faintest idea what comes next. And Netanyahu, who sucks in every way, is just playing for time cause he has no fucking clue what comes next but really just wants to stay out of jail and be prime minister.

For all these reasons, it's time to withdraw. Let the dream die. The dream of killing everybody in Gaza who is Hamas or supports Hamas or dreams of a Hamas victory. It is time to let that dream go. Do a DMZ, do something, destroy all the tunnels that end in Israel, do what the fuck ever, but stop living in some fucking dreamworld where the IDF magically kills all the terrorists and everyone else goes on to accept Israeli rule in Gaza.
