Taylor Swift Shattered Beyoncé’s Streaming Record In Only A Matter Of Hours
Taylor Swift’s new album The Tortured Poets Department was always destined to enjoy a massive welcome on streaming platforms. Less than a day after it was released, the set has already broken an important record—one which few could have predicted she’d shatter so quickly.
According to Billboard, The Tortured Poets Department has already earned the honor of being the album with the most streams in a single day on Spotify so far this year. The streaming platform confirmed the news to the music industry-focused outlet.
The report didn’t state a number of plays, but it must be massive. Before The Tortured Poets Department arrived, Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter stood as the title with the most streams in a single day. That project scored its lofty debut just a few weeks ago.

And then, watch it fall!
She’s overexposed, and will have a comeback somewhere in her early forties, after she has an IVF kid or two.
Remember, Mariah peaked at the same age with ‘Mimi’ (after the industry wrote her off post-Glitter), and then her sales plummeted.
Taylor has reached an age where she won’t shine as brightly as Dua Lipa or Olivia Rodrigo.
She’s too old for girls and too immature for (most) women now.

I'm not a fan but Taylor Swift is clearly in a category of her own. She may make misteps or even flops which all creative people do. It's part of the growth process. Otherwise they become stagnant. But no one comes even close to her level of success and fan adoration. Beyonce is simply not at the same level nor has she ever been. That "Single Ladies" era was good for her but fleeting. Still stomping around with them big legs whipping her hair around in a leotard is tough to watch after all these years.

R117 So if I buy five pairs of the same style shoes in five different colors from the same shoe store, they see that as only selling one pair of shoes ? Whether I buy on-line or in-store ? Seriously ?

Just can't get with the Beyonce shtick. But happy as a clam for those who do. I don't see those two as competitors. Different core audiences, I would imagine.

Beyonce's real hair is nearly waist-length and beautiful!

A decent try but comes off as desperate without a lot of thought behind it.. Try harder next time.

Didn't Shania Twain do this with her earlier albums? One had a more distinct pop sound vs. a country beat.

All of Shania's albums were pop country.

[QUOTE] Wigs are versatile and protect you real hair.
Nope. They starve the hair of oxygen and make it more likely to fall out, in the same way ugly acrylic nails starve the real nail.

^If you wear them all the time, maybe. However, people wear wigs and extensions and braids as a way of protecting their hair. If you take care of your real hair, the wig will protect it.

I want to own a wig shop outside the studios where they film TV court shows. I'd make a fortune selling janky burgundy wigs.

I can't fault her songs except that none of them evoke any emotion in me whatsoever. Well constructed lemon meringue pies without the lemon. Or pie.

R134 That’s not true at all.
Hair extensions are a better analogy to nail acrylics.
Not a wig.

Extensions destroy the real hair because they have to be welded on. You really are ignorant, aren't you?

Speaking of ignorant, your wig/nail analogy is the stupidest thing I’ve ever read.

R150, you're obviously challenged in the hair department and reliant on hair extensions yourself. Just know that they will weaken what's left of your real hair, not 'protect' it. Dumbass frau.
