"This is a progressive disease. I don't know if I'm going to get worse. With the disease of MS, it's never a good day. You just have little sh***y days."
Christina Applegate issues heartbreaking update on lifelong condition

I really like her and I'm sorry to hear that she is suffering. I was under the impression there were recent breakthroughs with highly effective treatments for MS that could stop and reverse the progression of the disease.

The new meds are great, but some cases of MS are more treatment-resistant than others. She may have also 'lost' things to the disease that treatment won't necessarily restore, even if it's successful in slowing additional damage.
Her diagnosis is relatively new. If she gives herself time, she might find ways to return to acting on her own terms. Michael J. Fox went through that several times with Parkinson's. She and Jamie-Lynn Sigler are launching an MS podcast that should address these topics.

I heard the ghost of River Phoenix is set to perform a spastic interpretive dance at the Viper Room tonight.

Christina and Kelly Bundy will forever be American icons.

She’s already voicing Kelly Bundy in the upcoming “Married… with Children” animated series. She’ll still be working. I’d love to read a memoir by her. Her life with her groupie mother was insane. Her mother acted more like a girlfriend than a mom, trying to set her up with band members and discussed her sex love with Christina’s friends. She tried setting her up with the son of one of the famous rock stars she banged back in the day. Christina and her mother lived on food stamps.
Christina still says that Ed O’Neill and Katey Sagal are her true parents. They raised her.

Where did she get dance training?

Did anyone see her in 'Sweet Charity' on Broadway about 15 years ago ? I heard she wasn't that great - anyone here have a different opinion ?

I remember her acquitting herself quite well, r7. She unfortunately had the ankle injury and I think some revising was criticized.

"Christina still says that Ed O’Neill and Katey Sagal are her true parents."
That reminds me of an episode of Married, With Children. Thank God Al and Peg weren't her true parents.
There's an MWC episode in Season 5 where Kelly is having an affair with a married Chicago alderman Harry Ashland. Harry is also planning on running for mayor Kelly is dressed and ready to out on a date with said alderman.
Kelly "Alright, mom, I ready to go out with Harry." Peg: "Not dressed like that, you're not, young lady. Come here."
Peg grabs a pair of scissors and puts a huge slit up the side of Kelly's skirt.
Peg: "There, that's better."
Later in the episode, the scene repeats itself. Peg grabs a pair of scissors and cuts the strap on Kelly's tank top, partially exposing Kelly's breast. And once again, Peg says "There, that's better."

She is a sweetheart and was amazingly beautiful in Married With Children.
I wish her the best.

From the article:
[Quote]Known by pretty much everyone for guest starring as Rachel Green's sister in Friends, Christina Applegate is a cherished household face and name.
Or, you know, for the role of Kelly Bundy in the long-running sitcom "Married With Children." Idiot writer.

R7, I saw her. Less an actress and more a good sport, but she radiated cheerfulness and never seemed like she was faking it.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | March 12, 2024 11:57 PM |
I love her. She’s so talented and I hope she isn’t too worn out from her MS. The world needs more actresses like her.

I saw it after she healed from her injury. The show was just OK but I thought she was wonderful in the role -- charming, funny, etc.

I think she's charming too, but I do recall Forbidden Broadway's take on her Charity:
There's gotta be someone better than me!
There's gotta be someone currently free!

I’d like to know more about her upbringing and her mom. I had know idea she was a groupie.

John Simon on Applegate. He gave her a respectful review

She was gorgeous and had great tits. Some people live their whole lives not being attractive. Count your blessings, Tina.

[quote]Christina Applegate is getting candid about a crappy experience.
[quote]The Dead to Me star graphically detailed her recent bout of sapovirus, a virus commonly transmitted through fecal-oral contact, colorfully joking that the illness led to "pissing out of my ass for a few days."
