Is this what it's come to? What the hell went wrong?
Megan Mullally is now hawking I Can''t Believe It''s Not Butter.
|by Anonymous||reply 40||12/07/2012|
Those commercials with Megan have been on tv for over a year or long - maybe two years.
|by Anonymous||reply 1||11/26/2010|
She's actually been doing that for a while.
|by Anonymous||reply 2||11/26/2010|
Hasn't she been doing this for a while now? She even did a cringe-worthy song and dance number with a tub of this shit!
|by Anonymous||reply 3||11/26/2010|
A girl gotta get paid.
|by Anonymous||reply 4||11/26/2010|
In an interview somewhere she said she was doing it (1) for the money and (2) because she thought it would be funny. She's completely aware of how it looks and is in on the joke.
|by Anonymous||reply 5||11/26/2010|
Here's the "official music video" for "Turn the Tub Around."
|by Anonymous||reply 6||11/26/2010|
The commercial is totally cringeworthy.
|by Anonymous||reply 7||11/26/2010|
Here's the "behind the scenes" on the shooting of the "Turn the Tub Around" video/ad. The people behind the ad seem to think they've created a work of fine art.

She replaced Jane Lynch on some obscure cable series and it promptly flopped.%0D %0D She pulled out of a Broadway revival of the very unnecessary LIPS TOGETHER, TEETH APART (for which we should be grateful), so yes her career is in the toliet.

|by Anonymous||reply 10||11/26/2010|
OP I actually hate you for getting Turn the Tub Around stuck in my head
And in fairness to Mullally it's not like Party Down was a ratings smash before she came on board
|by Anonymous||reply 11||11/26/2010|
Roll up, roll up, roll up! Come and get yourself a nice tub of something you won't believe isn't butter! They sell out quickly, so get yours early! Cash, check, or major credit cards accepted.
|by Anonymous||reply 12||11/26/2010|
She did it for the money? Didn't she make enough during all of the years of Will and Grace?
|by Anonymous||reply 13||11/26/2010|
That's what I wondered, R13-anyone got any news-they all have to be millionaires several times over after W&G and its endless reruns on Lifetime.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||11/26/2010|
|by Anonymous||reply 15||11/26/2010|
It's hysterical, shows off her movement, voice and comedy skills, gives her and the guy dancing with her (so far) nearly 2 years' residuals for a national commercial. %0D %0D Pretty good business decision, I'd say. Pity Vickie Sue Robinson's estate doesn't participate in the music license income, but it must be nice for her family to see her work honored like this.
|by Anonymous||reply 16||11/26/2010|
Megan, you forgot to sign your post at r16.
|by Anonymous||reply 17||11/26/2010|
OP = fat frau Xtian nut.
|by Anonymous||reply 18||11/26/2010|
Clearly her addiction to plastic surgery is what is driving her now.
Party Down was a really subtle, funny show. Jane Lynch was great in it. Megan was fine. When Adam Scott left and others wanted more money the writing was on the wall. Starz should have promoted it more.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||11/26/2010|
Her big problem is that she is too identified with Karen. Nobody wants to see her without the high-pitched voiced or trading one-liners with Sean Hayes.
|by Anonymous||reply 20||11/26/2010|
A list celebs do cheesy endorsements all the time except theirs is shown overseas.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||11/26/2010|
Playing a sitcom sidekick can kill your career. Even if the bucks are good.
|by Anonymous||reply 22||11/26/2010|
Sheesh, it was a cute commercial.
People making commercials are in show BUSINESS; of course they take their work seriously no matter how ridiculous the project.
I hope she made a boat load of money on the rotations. She deserved it.
|by Anonymous||reply 23||11/26/2010|
they should bring back Karen in her own sitcom with a different storyline. Like she opened up a home for orphans. Or runs a high end escort service.
|by Anonymous||reply 24||11/26/2010|
Karen only worked as a second banana. They would have to tone her down as a lead to make her more sympathetic to the audience. That would be a massive fail from the start. Shades of "Phyllis" and "Flo."
|by Anonymous||reply 25||11/26/2010|
The hot guy dancing with Megan Mullally was one of the original dancers from Michael Jackson's "This is it" movie. I think he's from Australia.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||11/26/2010|
He's from the Netherlands. His name is Shannon Holtzapffel!%0D %0D Not bad looking, either.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||11/26/2010|
R17 -- Deb Messing, is that you?
|by Anonymous||reply 28||12/03/2010|
If you blinked you missed the cable show she was on.
At least her wacky husband is working, isn't he on "Parks and Recreation"?
|by Anonymous||reply 29||12/03/2010|
And he showed his dick on "Deadwood"
|by Anonymous||reply 30||12/03/2010|
Has she had a lot of plastic surgery? I honestly haven't noticed.
|by Anonymous||reply 31||12/03/2010|
That director, Peter Siaggus, as seen in the "behind the scenes" video is very hot, too.
|by Anonymous||reply 32||12/03/2010|
I think shes wonderful and im sure she will get some great jobs! Great actress!
|by Anonymous||reply 33||12/07/2012|
Maybe she needs an income, how dare she?
|by Anonymous||reply 34||12/07/2012|
She's on Parks and Recreation too.
|by Anonymous||reply 35||12/07/2012|
Granted they didn't make Friends or Seinfeld money, but shouldn't the W&G cast basically be financially secure?
|by Anonymous||reply 36||12/07/2012|
And this old thread was bumped for what reason R32?
|by Anonymous||reply 37||12/07/2012|
She hasn't been hawking it for over 2 years. What fucking idiot bumped this thread?
Thanks webbie, for the "improved" search function.
|by Anonymous||reply 38||12/07/2012|
She's good on Parks & Recreation. I like that show.
|by Anonymous||reply 39||12/07/2012|
It's like when Carrie Fisher suddenly came to the realization that Princess Leia was famous, not her. Karen Walker is famous, not Megan.
