I'm sure he's including Mark Kirk (whom he outed recently) in that bunch. Who are the others?%0D %0D %0D %0D %0D Graham?%0D %0D %0D Kohl? %0D %0D %0D Mikulski?
Mike Rogers says there are now six closeted senators
|by Anonymous||reply 111||03/05/2015|
I posted guesses on there of Kirk, Mikulski, Kohl, Hatch, McConnell and Graham.
|by Anonymous||reply 1||11/03/2010|
And I assume Brewer is the governor he mentions?
|by Anonymous||reply 2||11/03/2010|
^I forgot that he mentioned a governor.%0D %0D %0D %0D I think he is talking about Rick Perry, though.
|by Anonymous||reply 3||11/03/2010|
So out them. I'm sick and tired of these gay gatekeepers holding on to their secrets, like a prize at a state fair. Out them. If being gay is nothing to be ashamed of, outing them is of no big deal.
Either out them or STFU.
|by Anonymous||reply 4||11/03/2010|
Mikulski isn't closeted. She just doesn't talk about it publicly - like Rosie pre-coming out.
|by Anonymous||reply 5||11/03/2010|
If he outs them all at once, it limits the news cycles during which he gets coverage to just one cycle. He wants to drag it out.
|by Anonymous||reply 6||11/03/2010|
R5 = Mikulski, with a bullshit answer
|by Anonymous||reply 7||11/03/2010|
Although the words "I am gay" have not publicly been uttered by Democratic Senator Kohl, he is, we all know it, and he knows we all know it.%0D %0D
|by Anonymous||reply 8||11/03/2010|
If you've been asked point blank "Are you gay?" (Mikulski has) and you refuse to answer...then you are closeted. Straight people don't refuse to say they are straight!
|by Anonymous||reply 9||11/03/2010|
Lingle would also be a closeted governor. Though she was ousted last night.
|by Anonymous||reply 10||11/03/2010|
While I know that Kohl (known fondly as "the Dairy Queen") and Mikulski both vote the right way on gay issues and we love them for it, they are still closeted.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||11/03/2010|
Republican Gov. Linda Lingle of Hawaii?
|by Anonymous||reply 12||11/03/2010|
Mikulski is obviously a lesbian. She started out voting against gay rights man years ago in order to cover it up, but in recent years she has supported gay rights. One of Reagan's people first tried to use it against her back in the 1980's. Kohl - very likely to be gay, yes. Like Mikulski, he has never been married or had children.
|by Anonymous||reply 13||11/03/2010|
The Advocate outed Kohl and Mikulski when they voted for DOMA%0D %0D %0D %0D %0D Since then, both of them have tended to vote pro-gay
|by Anonymous||reply 14||11/03/2010|
Susan Collins, the never-married Senator from Maine must be one of them.
|by Anonymous||reply 15||11/03/2010|
I have a friend who swears that Chuck Schumer AND his wife are gay but they have an arrangement.
|by Anonymous||reply 16||11/03/2010|
Why do people think Orrin Hatch is gay? I've seen his name mentioned before but I'm just curious if there is any evidence.
|by Anonymous||reply 17||11/03/2010|
Harry Reid.%0D %0D He just LOOKS like a closted evangelical minister who has a wife but really likes young rough trade.
|by Anonymous||reply 18||11/03/2010|
Barbara Mikulski must really be a self-hating mess. She's been a Senator of a fairly liberal state for nearly 20 years. She's 74, so it's not like she has some long career to think about. Would it really damage her career to come out? Is it a generational thing? She'd be the first openly lesbian US Senator right?
|by Anonymous||reply 19||11/03/2010|
Tell us who they are or shut up, Mike.
|by Anonymous||reply 20||11/03/2010|
I cast my first vote, at 18, for Barbara Mikulski for House of Representatives. Everyone in MD has pretty much always known, but she seems to be of the age and the cultural behavior that stays closeted, like so many of the nuns at the schools that taught her, and so many of the "spinster" librarians and social workers who "never married."
I wish she'd come out, too. But I also don't want redneck Repubs to use it as an opportunity to get her out of the Senate.
MD is a very strange place, and both redneck and liberal at the same time.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||11/03/2010|
|by Anonymous||reply 22||11/03/2010|
Nearly 20 posts one some old lesbian? Let's hear about the GAY MEN.
|by Anonymous||reply 23||11/03/2010|
Wasn't it Linda Sanchez, who was running against Mikulski, and called her a "San Francisco" Democrat? Sanchez really caught heat for that, thank God!!
|by Anonymous||reply 24||11/03/2010|
|by Anonymous||reply 25||11/03/2010|
R21, she won in Maryland by a huge margin last night, and it will probably be her last term (she will be 80 in 6 years), so what is she afraid of?
|by Anonymous||reply 26||11/03/2010|
Isn't Charlie Crist STILL a governor, although not for long?
|by Anonymous||reply 27||11/03/2010|
"Republican Gov. Linda Lingle of Hawaii?"
Please, call me Cunny.
|by Anonymous||reply 28||11/03/2010|
who is mike rogers and why is he fucking with other people's lives?
|by Anonymous||reply 29||11/03/2010|
Cunny Lingle...hee hee. Just got that one.
|by Anonymous||reply 30||11/03/2010|
WHO ARE THEY??? OUT THEM ALL!!!
|by Anonymous||reply 31||11/03/2010|
LOL R29! Oh, Smitty. You crack me up.
|by Anonymous||reply 32||11/03/2010|
But seriously, yeah. Out the Republican Senators (and Reps...like the new Speaker of the House).
|by Anonymous||reply 33||11/03/2010|
Out all the politicians, regardless of party.
|by Anonymous||reply 34||11/03/2010|

|by Anonymous||reply 37||11/03/2010|
Have there ever been studies done on the psychology of the closeted republican? I would love to know how they think.
|by Anonymous||reply 38||11/03/2010|
Spoken like a scared wittle cwoset case freeperina, sweetie. *kisses* R37
|by Anonymous||reply 39||11/03/2010|
[quote]Why do people think Orrin Hatch is gay?
Because of his dried spooge on Scott Brown's Playgirl centerfold, of course.
|by Anonymous||reply 40||11/03/2010|
Don't look at me, ladies...I'm in the HOUSE.
|by Anonymous||reply 41||11/03/2010|
At this point in our history no one has a right to be in the closet. You cannot help yourself or your gay brothers and sisters from there, no matter how much you pretend, and you do active harm to gay youth every day you act as if there is anything, ANYTHING, wrong with being an out gay person.
How can we have our rights if we cower? We can we get our rights if our leaders - elected gay peopled - hide themselves?
All of the soap-boxing is my basis for insisting that all gay politicians should be outed.
|by Anonymous||reply 42||11/03/2010|
Dreier has been outed countless times. It makes no difference.
|by Anonymous||reply 43||11/03/2010|
Being in the closet isn't the kiss of death. So what is your point?
|by Anonymous||reply 44||11/03/2010|
It was right-wing spokescunt Linda CHAVEZ who ran against Mikulski and called her a "San Francisco-style Democrat. She should come out of her liberal closet and debate me." %0D %0D The other five, just guessing: %0D %0D Lindsay Graham %0D %0D Richard Lugar %0D %0D Mitch McConnell %0D %0D Herb Kohl %0D %0D and the newly-elected Kirk. %0D %0D %0D %0D

The Mike Rogers (whoever he is--a nobody trying to make a name for himself on the interwebs?) of this world need to stop being busybodies. Let people enjoy their privacy.
|by Anonymous||reply 47||11/04/2010|
That's too lame even for a troll post, r47.
|by Anonymous||reply 48||11/04/2010|
"Let people enjoy their privacy."%0D %0D Agreed.%0D %0D However, the people in questions are not private citizens, they are public figures. Their maintaining the "privacy" is an effort in that conflicts with the service to all citizens which they have sworn to uphold.%0D %0D Voting to segregate other citizens only to hide the lace in your own closet is a moral travesty.
|by Anonymous||reply 49||11/04/2010|
|by Anonymous||reply 50||11/04/2010|
And we will not let them cower in the closet any longer.
|by Anonymous||reply 51||11/04/2010|
[quote]However, the people in questions are not private citizens, they are public figures.
R49 is right; and they're more than public figures, they are public servants, whose salaries are paid by the taxpayers, including gay taxpayers, who are subsidizing the closet cases to work against equal rights.
Hell yeah, out 'em all.
|by Anonymous||reply 52||11/04/2010|
The governor is possibly John Kitzhaber, newly elected (and also former) governor of Oregon. He got married for the first time during his first campaign for governor and divorced her right as he left office.
|by Anonymous||reply 53||11/04/2010|
WHY DOES THE GOP ATTRACT SO MANY SELF-LOATHERS!?
|by Anonymous||reply 54||11/04/2010|
Don't expect Mr. Rogers to reveal his list anytime soon. He has his publicity and he'll want to string it out as long as possible.
|by Anonymous||reply 55||11/04/2010|
do you know him personally?
|by Anonymous||reply 56||11/04/2010|
"The Mike Rogers (whoever he is--a nobody trying to make a name for himself on the interwebs?) of this world need to stop being busybodies. Let people enjoy their privacy."%0D %0D %0D %0D %0D The real busybodies are anti-gay politicians who make laws that intrude on people's personal lives%0D %0D

|by Anonymous||reply 58||11/04/2010|
We don't need homofascists like Rogers destroying people's lives with innuendo.
|by Anonymous||reply 59||11/04/2010|
You equate being truthful about one's sexuality with 'destroying lives,' R59?
|by Anonymous||reply 60||11/04/2010|
^ You're free to be truthful about your own sexuality. Rogers is not free to play games with others' lives, careers.
|by Anonymous||reply 61||11/04/2010|
Count me among those who have followed Mike Rogers for years and who tire quickly of his often endless cock-teasing.
Look back at the record. Rogers goes public only after the "lame stream" press or one of their subsidiaries first breaks the story.
|by Anonymous||reply 62||11/04/2010|
r61 = Miss Lindsey Graham
|by Anonymous||reply 63||11/04/2010|
R61, freedom of the press means Mike Rogers has the right to write about people being gay. %0D %0D %0D %0D Besides, the ones who REALLY play games with other people's lives are the homophobic politicians who vote against gays, and ENDA and the effort to repeal DADT. Do you know how many people have been thrown out of the military for being gay?
|by Anonymous||reply 64||11/04/2010|
[quote]Rogers is not free to play games with others' lives, careers.%0D %0D %0D Hell, YES, he is. When the careers of others limit our rights, he's more than FREE TO OUT THE CLOSETED BASTARDS!
|by Anonymous||reply 65||11/04/2010|
R62, Mike outed Craig, Mehlman, Foley, and others BEFORE the mainstream media did.
|by Anonymous||reply 66||11/04/2010|
"You're free to be truthful about your own sexuality"%0D %0D %0D %0D %0D %0D You are also free to lie about your sexuality. However, you do not have the right to force other people to lie for you.
|by Anonymous||reply 67||11/04/2010|
Mike definitely knows what he is talking about, and I enjoy checking out his site (even though it is glitchy and often crashes my browser). My only complaint is that he rarely provides any verifiable info - only anonymous sources - so the "outings" rarely take. It isn't until the "lamestream" media actually does the hard work of convincing sources to go on the record that the outing is successful.
|by Anonymous||reply 68||11/05/2010|
R47/R59/R61: Mitch McConnell's "special friend"
|by Anonymous||reply 69||11/05/2010|

|by Anonymous||reply 71||11/05/2010|
Kirk, Kohl, Mikulski, McConnell, Hatch, Graham...
|by Anonymous||reply 72||11/05/2010|
|by Anonymous||reply 73||11/05/2010|
Doesn't Hatch fly totally under the radar?
He's such a grim-lipped automaton. So is Mitch McC.
|by Anonymous||reply 74||11/05/2010|
Someone here posted that Lugar is (or was) a bathroom cruiser like Larry Craig
|by Anonymous||reply 75||11/05/2010|
Right R75. Because someone posted it on DL it must be true.
|by Anonymous||reply 76||11/05/2010|

|by Anonymous||reply 80||11/06/2010|
Names, Mike! Give us the names.
|by Anonymous||reply 81||11/16/2010|
There are no names to give. Just another Rogers PR stunt.
|by Anonymous||reply 82||11/16/2010|
R82 is an idiot. Mike is always right. Just ask Mehlman, Craig, Foley...
|by Anonymous||reply 83||11/17/2010|
If Mike is always right, R82, where are the six names?
|by Anonymous||reply 84||11/17/2010|
You're retarded, r84. For one thing, several of them have already been outed. %0D %0D %0D Kohl and Mikulski were outed years ago by The Advocate%0D %0D %0D He has said (or implied) that Lindsey Graham is gay many times and everyone knows he is so what's the point of naming him?%0D %0D %0D Mike's always right.
|by Anonymous||reply 85||11/17/2010|
Let's go, Mike Rogers. Give us the names.
|by Anonymous||reply 86||12/01/2010|
[quote]Kirk, Kohl, Mikulski, McConnell, Hatch, Graham...%0D %0D %0D %0D First names please?
|by Anonymous||reply 87||12/01/2010|
^ Mark, Herb, Barbara, Mitch, Orrin, and Lindsey
|by Anonymous||reply 88||12/01/2010|
Hey, I'm not gay - I just like pretty clothes.
|by Anonymous||reply 89||12/01/2010|
In the case of Mark Kirk, Rogers "outed" him - by that I mean he said he was gay with no proof, and Kirk promptly denied it. Not "I'm not going to dignify that with an answer", or dodging the question - he outright denied it. So then the onus is upon Mike Rogers to put up or shut up. %0D %0D All he does is throw names out based on the same bullshit stereotypes we hate but yet buy into - Lindsey Graham talks like Snagglepuss, therefore he's gay. I can't speak to Mehlman, but anybody with a head in Florida knew about Mark Foley (the gay thing, not the underage page thing) long before Rogers said anything. They just thought it was unseemly to talk about.%0D %0D A previous poster nailed it about Dreier. He's been "outed" - again with absolutely no proof other than he's not married, and every time it doesn't stick and he gets re-elected. It's ridiculous that people here look at Mike Rogers as some sort of hero or informed source - anybody he doesn't like (Repubs), he throws out the worst insult he can find "GAY!!"%0D %0D Not that I think people who vote against gay rights deserve protection. Frankly, if you want to stay closeted, then don't have sex with anyone who doesn't have as much to lose as you do. I just can't stand people who shoot their mouths off for attention without PROOF.
|by Anonymous||reply 90||12/01/2010|
You're an idiot.
|by Anonymous||reply 91||12/02/2010|
"I can't speak to Mehlman, but anybody with a head in Florida knew about Mark Foley (the gay thing, not the underage page thing) long before Rogers said anything."%0D %0D %0D %0D Anyone with a head in Illinois and D.C. knows Mark Kirk is gay. Anyone with a head in D.C. and California knows Dreier is gay. %0D %0D %0D %0D %0D "He's been "outed" - again with absolutely no proof other than he's not married"%0D %0D %0D %0D %0D You're wrong. %0D %0D %0D %0D "In the case of Mark Kirk, Rogers "outed" him - by that I mean he said he was gay with no proof, and Kirk promptly denied it."%0D %0D %0D %0D Liberace also denied being gay.%0D %0D %0D %0D %0D Mike Rogers knows who is gay and who isn't. He's never wrong. Oh, and he doesn't think "gay" is an insult. He is insulting them for being hypocrites.
|by Anonymous||reply 92||12/02/2010|

|by Anonymous||reply 95||12/02/2010|

|by Anonymous||reply 96||12/02/2010|
It would be nice if Mike Rogers would give us all a nice Christmas present by publishing a list of homophobic gays in Congress.

|by Anonymous||reply 99||12/22/2010|
Pat Toomey is so creepy. I can imagine him being a closet leather queen, or a diaper fetishist or something worse.

It just seems rude and disrespectful to talk about someone's private life in public. Yes, I know there is a compelling urge to out the hypocrites.
