Point a gun at him and he'll stay cool.
I Wish I had hair like Alain Delon

One of the handsomest movie stars ever!
|by Anonymous||reply 1||10/19/2010|
Never heard of him, but he's dreamy.
|by Anonymous||reply 2||10/19/2010|
I wish I had a face like Alain Delon.
|by Anonymous||reply 3||10/19/2010|
He is a legendary french actor R-2. One of the most beautiful men of all time. He's bisexual too.
|by Anonymous||reply 4||10/19/2010|
People always say that he's open about his bisexuality, but I've never seen a source for it.
|by Anonymous||reply 5||10/19/2010|
He was open about his bisexuality, all right... all over my face.
|by Anonymous||reply 6||10/19/2010|
Been in love with him for over 40 years. Great montage.
|by Anonymous||reply 7||10/19/2010|
According to David Ehrenstein, he also had affairs with the "nouvelle vague" actor Jean-Claude Brialy and with a mafioso, and it was these two men who gave him his start in film.
|by Anonymous||reply 8||10/19/2010|
Actually, Helmut Berger is the Visconti fucktoy who was open about his bisexuality -- I don't know if Delon ever was.
|by Anonymous||reply 9||10/19/2010|
Delon's son with Nico, Ari Boulogne:
|by Anonymous||reply 10||10/19/2010|
Awesome movie star.
|by Anonymous||reply 12||10/19/2010|
Average white guy with brylcreem, some mascara, and bronzer. Meh.
|by Anonymous||reply 13||10/20/2010|
Yeah, he was average all right.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||10/20/2010|
I don't think he's so much bisexual as he was a whore early in his career.
|by Anonymous||reply 15||10/20/2010|
His "patrons" took him to the Cannes Film Festival in 1957 when he was 22 and he made quite an impression.
I did read an interview in which he said he was homosexual at this stage in his career, but given his behavior after he made it (quite heterosexual) I think he was just gay for pay.

GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!! Str8 or Bi?-Me no care!
|by Anonymous||reply 20||07/04/2012|
Is his first name pronounced 'Allen,' as it is in this song, or 'Al-ain?'
|by Anonymous||reply 21||07/04/2012|
R11, it was me. It happened in a video booth at Exxxpressions on E 52nd St betw 2nd and 3rd Ave. He had on a hetero movie, he was the only one downstairs, I blew him and he barely groaned or acknowledged me. I didn't care because he was Alain Delon. He wasn't in the best of shape but that didn't matter.
|by Anonymous||reply 22||07/04/2012|
R21, the singer uses the Anglicized pronunciation of both 'Alain' and 'Delon'. To approximate the French pronunciation of 'Alain' say the names 'Al' and 'Ann' together, but only slightly sound out the 'nn' part of 'ann'.
Linked below the French pronunciation.

R4, I think that the only reason Alain Delon is bisexual is that there are only two sexes.
|by Anonymous||reply 24||07/04/2012|
I recently saw 2 of his 60s hits - LE SAMURAI and LE CERCLE ROUGE by arthouse hits by Jean-Pierre Melville, and need to go back to PLEIN SOLEIL (PURPLE NOON) from 1960 when he was 24.
It seems Brialy took him to Cannes Festival in '58 - there are some great photos of him from then, and he was presumably gay or playing around then. He became more heterosexual as he got more well known and had a long relationship with Romy Schneider. He is great in Visconti's THE LEOPARD with Claudia Cardinale and in Antonioni's L'ECLISSE with Monica Vitti. He re-teamed with Schneider in LA PISCINE a great 1969 glossy thriller. I wonder if he and Burt fooled around, they were reunited in a Michael Winner thriller SERPICO in the 70s. Its a great long career which has survived scandals, I don't imagine he needs to work much now in his 70s.

I prefer Jean-Paul Belmondo.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||07/04/2012|
Thanks R23, I've always wondered about the correct pronounciation of his name.
I think Alain Delon at his peak in the late 50s/early 60s was the most beautiful thing to ever step in front of a camera.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||07/04/2012|
Helmut Berger [italic]hated[/italic] him.
|by Anonymous||reply 28||07/04/2012|
And of course, how can one ever forget his sexy whisperings of sweet-nothings on "Paroles, Paroles" with the late Dalida?
|by Anonymous||reply 29||07/04/2012|
His son Anthony has his eyes, but was never as beautiful as his dad was in his prime.
|by Anonymous||reply 30||07/04/2012|
He's better looking than Delon
|by Anonymous||reply 31||07/04/2012|
R31-Who is that guy? He looks like Jim Morrison.....NOBODY is better looking than Delon, including JM.
|by Anonymous||reply 32||12/14/2012|
R27- Definitely the most beautiful. The male Elizabeth Taylor.
|by Anonymous||reply 33||01/30/2013|
He's pretty, but I must say, I have always had much better hair.
|by Anonymous||reply 34||01/31/2013|
Dubbed the male Brigitte Bardot of his day.
Madonna wrote a song dedicated to him for her MDNA album called "Beautiful Killer". Actually, a very nice song.
|by Anonymous||reply 35||01/31/2013|
Who'she guy in r31's link? He's GORGEOUS!
Why is it that most actors in the 60s and 70s are hotter than today's plastic drugged-out goofballs?
|by Anonymous||reply 36||01/31/2013|
|by Anonymous||reply 37||01/31/2013|
R32 & R36, the guy in R31's link is the late Italian actor Franco Gasparri. He had great '70s hair, but, no, he wasn't better looking than Delon.
|by Anonymous||reply 38||01/31/2013|
Some time ago I read an interview with Helmut Berger where he complained what a shameless slut Delon was who slept with anyone if he thought it could help his career etc etc A lot of bitchin and drama-queening, bitterness and jealousy.
|by Anonymous||reply 39||01/31/2013|
Alain Delon couldn't possibly be gay or bi, or I wouldn't be free to be reading DataLounge right now.
|by Anonymous||reply 40||01/31/2013|
If it were still 2010 this thread might still be relevant ...
