New six-part Lesbo series premiered tonight on BBC3. Stunning women, with a pseudo %E2%80%98Shane-type%E2%80%99 character in the lead. I%E2%80%99ll give it an 8/10

Really enjoyed it. Much more realistic than L word

Oh, great. We Americans look forward to seeing the butchered BBCA version three years from now.
|by Anonymous||reply 2||10/13/2010|
So Brits are just like Americans....love shows about lezzies as long as they are "stunning" and look like they just walked out of a Victoria's Secret catalog. No KD Lang bull dykes allowed in our tv shows. I'll bet you 100 dollars at least one of them pretty gals starts fucking a guy soon.

R3, try naming a straight show with unattractive straight women. (Besides Snookie)
|by Anonymous||reply 4||10/13/2010|
Uh, R3? Didja ever watch Bad Girls?
|by Anonymous||reply 5||10/13/2010|
Agreed with R3; sadly the same trend is true 99% of the time with gay male characters. Always gorgeous or jacked. Either that or gigantic and flamboyant.
I wouldn't blame gay women for being tired of this stupid fucked-up cliche' of gorgeous, model-like lesbians, at least one ALWAYS coming out as bisexual. Tiresome.

[quote]Uh, [R3]? Didja ever watch Bad Girls?%0D %0D Oooh, I loved the Nikki & Helen storyline.%0D %0D
|by Anonymous||reply 7||10/13/2010|
Odd complaint, R3. Most straight people think all lesbians are butch, so these hotties are offsetting the stereotype. More importantly, how captivating are bull dykes? Not so charming in real-life.
|by Anonymous||reply 8||10/13/2010|
They are pandering to hetero fantasies, plain and simple. Just like The Kids are Alright...the pretty lezzie hops in bed with the stud. Yawn. So boring and so aimed at pleasing the str8s. Yawn.
|by Anonymous||reply 9||10/13/2010|
Plenty of hot fem lesbians in RL. So sorry that you don't know any, R3, but don't assume we're all fug, fat, and manly or care to see that on the screen.

"So Brits are just like Americans....love shows about lezzies as long as they are "stunning" and look like they just walked out of a Victoria's Secret catalog."%0D %0D %0D They also have to be bisexual, and have plenty of sex with me.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||10/13/2010|
I love the title.
|by Anonymous||reply 12||10/13/2010|
Does any lesbian character on the show shag a guy or is that just something the bitter R3 pulled out of her/his ass?%0D %0D And I completely agree with R10.

Next week one of the leads will be shagging a soft butch cop - full frontal; soft porn really lol
|by Anonymous||reply 14||10/13/2010|
Ended tonight and turned out to be quite a good series. Perhaps a bit too realistic - well I know quite a few 'authentic' lesbos going thu' similar travails...
|by Anonymous||reply 15||11/16/2010|
This was an excellent series - o the drama of unrequited love! Reminded me of my days when I used to yearn for 'untouchable' women! Gosh, I do despise straight women masquerading as bicurious, only to damage our hearts....
|by Anonymous||reply 16||11/21/2010|
Just finished watching Episode 4. This series puts the L Word to shame! The cop is definitely butch and the "Shane" character a bit less so, so not all the women are femmes. %0D %0D %0D I love it! What do we need to do to make sure they cotinue the series??
|by Anonymous||reply 17||11/30/2010|
Yes, R13, Frankie gets pissed one night and shags the guy Kat works with - can't remember his name but he's cute. It worked well, though, and was a nice reversal of the usual straights only get into the homosex when they're drunk cliche.
I thought it was a terrific series. All the cast were gorgeous and the plot lines ranged from ridiculous to pure soap opera. It wasn't quite in the same league as Footballers' Wives but it was glam and trashy and lots of fun.

Aparently they're making more of this shitty little programme. I watched a few episodes of it and thought the acting was wooden, the storyline pathetic.%0D %0D That blonde lead charater with the bandy legs and bad haircut was vapid and pathetic. And that Heather whatshername is just plain fugly, why women go ga-ga over her is beyond me - that accent is vile - like a fucking bricklayer, and she has a pointy chin you could open a Fray Bentos pie tin with. If she begged me for sex and I was desperate I'd refuse her and use whatever I could find in the fridge. And as for the Architect, like who the fuck gave a shit about her love life? Erm, would that be no fucker perchancity?%0D %0D As one of the posters above assumed the blonde lead with bandy legs and bad hair did, I believe, end up shagging the druggie beardy bloke. As the other poster more or less says, how fucking predictable!%0D %0D They should make a program about my life and call it 'oh what a fucking drama!' or 'coping in a world of fugly'%0D %0D As you were.%0D %0D %0D %0D

I hope there are no butches in this show. Should i download some episodes or the chicks are like men?
|by Anonymous||reply 20||02/07/2013|
So, tell me bitches, the chicks are feminine enough in this fuckin' show?
|by Anonymous||reply 21||02/07/2013|
Fuckin' bitches answer me!
|by Anonymous||reply 22||02/07/2013|
"No KD Lang bull dykes allowed in our tv shows"
I'd hardly call KD a bull dyke. Do you know what a bull dyke actually looks like?
|by Anonymous||reply 23||02/07/2013|
Look, i was humorous before in a disgraceful rather way as i see now about butches. I didn't mean to be offensive, i swear. I don't think they are inferior to other women but i just don't find them sexually attractive, that's why i asked if this show is a butch's show.
Butches can be cool in a discussion and intelligent. They can be great friends, of course butch from butch differs, it depends on the person always. However, i would like to see more femininity in lesbian shows, don't get mad at me ladies!
