NBC Picks Up J.J. Abrams'' Locke and Linus Show

NEW YORK (CBS) "Lost" stars Terry O'Quinn and Michael Emerson are reuniting for a new show with J.J. Abrams.

After negotiations, NBC has landed the rights to a new show featuring the two actors, who played John Locke and Ben Linus on the ABC drama.

New York magazine's Vulture blog reported Wednesday that the network got the project despite strong interest from Fox and ABC, both of which were intrigued with the idea of Linus and Locke's alter-egos teaming up again.

On Monday, the blog reported that Abrams had begun pitching a comedic drama to the networks that would have Emerson and O'Quinn playing former black-ops agents.

The upcoming series, which had been known as "Odd Jobs" but is now technically untitled, already has a pilot commitment in place from NBC. Abrams' frequent collaborators Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec are writers and executive producers for the show, while Abrams and Bryan Burk are also executive producers.

The idea of the two collaborating off the island isn't completely new. In February, the duo told TV Guide that they were hoping to work together again, and in May Emerson confirmed to the Associated Press that he and O'Quinn were shopping around ideas for a TV show.
