He was a athleat swimeur.

Older, but still handsome!
|by Anonymous||reply 3||09/19/2010|
I never really got the appeal. He was considered good-looking in the 1980's, but I don't think his type of look would go as far today.
|by Anonymous||reply 4||09/19/2010|
He had a 5 year relationship with Freddie Fender in the late 70's, yet he never seems to register on anyones gaydar.
|by Anonymous||reply 5||09/19/2010|
How do we know this, R5?
|by Anonymous||reply 6||09/19/2010|
He remained close to fender throught his life, and was at Fenders funeral in Texas in 2006.
|by Anonymous||reply 7||09/19/2010|
Yes, and those were Wasted Days and Wasted Nights.
|by Anonymous||reply 8||09/19/2010|
Gawd, he was my huge crush when I was in middle school/junior high when he starred in Man from Atlantis. He never wore a shirt!
|by Anonymous||reply 9||09/19/2010|
Is he trying to show off his ass in that pic, R9?
|by Anonymous||reply 10||09/19/2010|
He was always into the cholas and vatos.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||09/19/2010|
I had his son Padraic in a class in college. Unfortunately, he did not take after his father facially or bodily.
|by Anonymous||reply 12||09/19/2010|
If you got it, flaunt it.
|by Anonymous||reply 13||09/19/2010|
Freddy Fender?? Are you insane, R5? That's the biggest EST I've ever read here, and that's saying something.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||09/19/2010|
Psst! r14 doesn't know what "EST" means. *points behind his back*
|by Anonymous||reply 15||09/19/2010|
Guilty as charged, R15.
Although, technically, I know what it means, the term has been more or less simplified lately to indicate a bald-faced lie, which was indeed my accusation.
R5 better do some 'splain'. I grew up in San Benito, TX - Fender's hometown - and was aquainted with some of his family. The notion that he would even know Patrick Duffy - much less enjoy l'amour with him - is a hoot.
|by Anonymous||reply 16||09/19/2010|
"the term has been more or less simplified lately to indicate a bald-faced lie, " You might be interpreting it that way, but it hasn't. I believe you may know a thing or two about Freddy Fender, but you're wrong about this.
|by Anonymous||reply 17||09/19/2010|
He appears regularly on the soap opera 'The Bold and the Beautiful'.
He is still very handsome and great looking, and still has a very good physique.
A few months ago, he had a major story line on the show, but now he appears off and on.

In that case, you're telling an EST about the meaning of an EST.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||09/20/2010|
HD is NOT kind to Mr. Duffy as he ages, but he's up there with Mr. Gregory Harrison and Mr. Burt Reynolds when it comes to childhood fantasies.
|by Anonymous||reply 20||09/20/2010|
Anyone on the east coast who wants to meet him, he'll be at the Chiller Autograph Show the weekend of October 29-31. They are having a mini "Dallas" reunion with Duffy, Larry Hagman, Linda Grey and Charlene Tilton.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||09/20/2010|
The five that R21 mentions are all apparently in constant contact (they say they call one another all the time) and have remained friends for decades. No Victoria.
|by Anonymous||reply 22||09/20/2010|
I used to live for the scenes in Dallas when they showed him in a speedo around the pool or water park.
|by Anonymous||reply 23||09/20/2010|
Who the fuck cares about the exact definition of an EST?
The self-appointed hall monitors in this place are bizarre. Does DL have its own Robert's Rules of Order?
Jesus, just get to the Freddy Fender story already. R5, where are you?
|by Anonymous||reply 24||09/20/2010|
I remember his appearances on the Tonight Show (he even hosted once or twice, IIRC)and he was hilarious.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||09/20/2010|
Lusted after him on Man From Atlantis, Dallas and, especially, when he appeared on Battle of the Network Stars. He was still hot when he was on Step By Step with Suzanne Somers.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||09/20/2010|
Freddie Fender???? Now, that guy was a fat fug!
|by Anonymous||reply 27||09/20/2010|
[quote]Who the fuck cares about the exact definition of an EST?
Not you, clearly.
|by Anonymous||reply 28||09/20/2010|
Why isn't The Man From Atlantis on DVD?!
|by Anonymous||reply 29||09/20/2010|
"Why isn't The Man From Atlantis on DVD?!"
It sank into the sea.
|by Anonymous||reply 30||09/20/2010|
His magnificent pectorals always made my teenage boy member stand at attention back in the day.
|by Anonymous||reply 31||09/20/2010|
He is very Irish looking.
|by Anonymous||reply 32||09/20/2010|
I don't care what anyone says: I love Step by Step. It was a well done cheesy show that is very nostalgic for me.
|by Anonymous||reply 33||09/20/2010|
Big Old Buddhist Bottom-boi
|by Anonymous||reply 34||09/20/2010|
One of my youthful fantasy fuelers, too. Not off the pretty boy assembly line.
I'd do him, then or now.
|by Anonymous||reply 35||09/20/2010|
He doesn't ping at all.
