Alec Mapa

What do we know about him? Any dirt?

by He makes me laughreply 3505/21/2013

In college he played the goldfish in a production of The Cat in the Hat. He wore an orange knit skirt and stood so it looked like a fish tail.

He completely ran away with the show. No one could pay any attention to the cat because the fish was so funny.

He's a scream onstage, but quite a nasty little bitch offstage.

Not at all well-known outside of LA's gay community.

by He makes me laughreply 207/17/2010

Started out as a SERIOUS actor, believe it or not, and was BD Wong's understudy in the original Broadway production of M. Butterfly.

He and BD HATED each other. Asian queens can be SO territorial...

When BD left the show, Alec took over the role.

by He makes me laughreply 307/17/2010

Dahling, I am Asian but not at all SO territorial. Every race or ethnic group is welcome. Asian tents can be wide open.

by He makes me laughreply 407/17/2010

B.D. has a better and bigger cock.

by He makes me laughreply 507/17/2010

Alec is actually very nice - and quite well known outside of LA - don't know who you must be talking about. He is legally married and I think his husband is German. BFFs with former Miss Universe Brook Lee.

by He makes me laughreply 607/17/2010

One of the bottomiest bottoms whoever bottomed.

by He makes me laughreply 707/17/2010

Pussyhound. Big Palin supporter.

by He makes me laughreply 807/17/2010

An embarassment to gay men everywhere.%0D

by He makes me laughreply 907/17/2010

I was surprised to see him pop up in a speaking role in Seinfeld. %0D %0D What's he up to these days? His "Sazuki St. Clair" was a riot.

by He makes me laughreply 1007/17/2010

Every fiber of my being detects that r4 is the real deal. Hi Alec, welcome back from Mexico! Oh, sorry. That was so two days ago. Won't tell anyone that you slum here, too. Our dirty little secret.

by He makes me laughreply 1107/17/2010

I think he might be a homosexualist

by He makes me laughreply 1207/17/2010

R4 said he is Asian. He didn't say he was Alec Mapa.

by He makes me laughreply 1307/17/2010

I'm a rice queen but Mapa would make give up rice forever.

He's gross.

by He makes me laughreply 1407/17/2010

Friend him of Facebook, his status updates are hilarious

by He makes me laughreply 1507/17/2010

Must have Filipino blood. Looks and name are that of Filipinos.

by He makes me laughreply 1607/17/2010

BD Wong always struck me as an arrogant asshole so I'd probably rather hang with Mapa.

by He makes me laughreply 1707/18/2010

I bet he gives great bjs.

by He makes me laughreply 1907/18/2010

I loved him on the short-lived comedy SOME OF MY BEST FRIENDS with Jason Bateman.

by He makes me laughreply 2007/18/2010

I just LOVE him on Entourage!

by He makes me laughreply 2107/18/2010

He's not my type normally, but I find him adorable for some reason.

by He makes me laughreply 2207/18/2010

[quote]quite a nasty little bitch offstage.%0D %0D %0D %0D He is a regular DL poster?

by He makes me laughreply 2307/18/2010

Alec is, indeed, Filipino--that gem of a nationality resplendent in its inner beauty, sun-kissed exotic charm, hospitality, and ubiquitous humanity!

We, your petite brown Filipino bruthas and sistahs, are proud of you, Miss Mapa. We wish you continued success and we will all be cheering you on as you lengthen your string of accomplishments.

Keep that regal Filipino bearing up even as fellow bitches here revel in your human flaws.

But then, sweetie pies, let those without blemish cast the first pink, variegated, rainbow-themed stone.

Oh, how I love the smart, funny, and outrageous remarks on DL! Keep the gossip juices flowing,

by He makes me laughreply 2407/18/2010

I sat next to Alec, in a restaurant in Boston in the late 80's, after seeing him do M. Butterfly and he was very nice and talkative to me. At that time, I believe he was with a lady friend or his wife. Whatever the relation, she was pleasent, too. I thought he was wonderful on stage and M. Butterfly has become one of my top 5 favorite shows.%0D %0D He is a Filopino and they are very warm, interesting and a proud people.

by He makes me laughreply 2507/18/2010

should have been Filipino

[quote] I loved him on the short-lived comedy SOME OF MY BEST FRIENDS with Jason Bateman.

I really like that show. If the network hadn't moved it around to hell and back it might have stood a chance. I just watched his comedy routine on Logo After Dark the other night, it was pretty damn funny.

by He makes me laughreply 2707/18/2010

I first noticed him on an episode of Roseanne in which he played a hairdresser. He's a riot. He's one of those performers, like Christine Ebersole and Mary Kay Place, who perks up anything he's in.

by He makes me laughreply 2807/18/2010

He was much more believable and attractive as a female in M BUTTERFLY than Bradd was. Bradd had a wit that worked better for the character overall, though.

by He makes me laughreply 2907/18/2010

Her brilliant Facebook postings and Friends' responses are among my favorite things.

by He makes me laughreply 3007/18/2010

Help fund his stand up special by contributing to his Kickstarter campaign. See the video plea at the link.

by He makes me laughreply 3105/15/2013

I can only take him in small doses.

by He makes me laughreply 3205/15/2013

He is a small dose.

by He makes me laughreply 3305/15/2013

Bump for Alec--any contributors on DL?

by He makes me laughreply 3405/21/2013

I loved the twist on "Ugly Betty" that Suzuki St. Clair ended up being a straight man with kids in the burbs.

Gah, I miss Ugly Betty.
