Tom Hulce and F. Murray Abraham from Amadeus

FMA was just the special guest on the season ending L&O:CI, as Goldblum's father. Great watching these 2 actors together.
Hulce gave up acting and got REALLY REALLY FAT.
Here they are together recently

Tom got fat!

Hulce is a producer. Spring Awakening, American Idiot.
Abraham will be doing Merchant of Venice in Boston next spring.

Who is F. married to?

They're still together, they run a B&B on Orcas Island.

Tom found a sweet gig working in the Macy's parades.
|by Anonymous||reply 7||07/07/2010|
Tom Hulce is gay, right?
|by Anonymous||reply 8||07/07/2010|
yes, he is gay...
|by Anonymous||reply 9||07/07/2010|
Hulce..... I have his giggle as my ring tone.
|by Anonymous||reply 10||07/07/2010|
Tom Hulce is batshit crazy and a tyrannical producer. Woe to anyone who works with him.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||07/07/2010|
Come on r11, details please!
|by Anonymous||reply 12||07/07/2010|
When Abraham was in Triumph of Love on Broadway in 1997 he brought his Oscar in a bag with him to every rehearsal and every performance. Sometimes he'd hide it just offstage so other actors would be doing a scene, glance off and there was the Oscar staring at them.
|by Anonymous||reply 13||07/07/2010|
That's just pathetic of Abraham to do that. Hilarious but pathetic.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||07/07/2010|
It should be noted that FMA considers Geraldine Page the greatest actress in the English language.
|by Anonymous||reply 15||07/07/2010|
R15, I remember that!
|by Anonymous||reply 16||07/07/2010|
I can't get enough of FMA stories. Please share more, if you have one.

I was 6 when Amadeus came out, and was virtually raised on it from that point forward. I still watch it often.
I consider it one of the best movies ever made. If I had to make a top 10 list of the most "perfect" movies, Amadeus would probably be #1.
Given all the high praise it's received, I wonder if that's been something of a curse for the actors. To this day, the most widely recognized one among them is probably Jeffrey Jones. Is it just that most of the cast is better known for Broadway work? I know Christine Ebersole is highly acclaimed for her stage work, but isn't a "hollywood" actress. She isn't famous outside of Broadway circles. The same goes for FMA.
What's the rest of the cast been up to?
|by Anonymous||reply 19||07/07/2010|
Tom Hulce would be recognized for Animal House too.

FMA was DREADFUL as the screaming queen in The Ritz.

Cynthia Nixon plays a small but important role in AMADEUS, as the maid Salieri sends to spy on Mozart.%0D %0D She said doing the film was an important experience - she had been a child/teen actor on stage and film, but this was her first "adult" part and after this she wasn't considered a "young" actor anymore, and got adult roles.

F. Murray crawled up Geraldine Page's ass and was never heard from again.
|by Anonymous||reply 24||07/08/2010|
FMA was a terrific stage actor until the Oscar and then he fell victim to the Al Pacino Hambone Syndrome.

FMA was fun to hate in [italic]Finding Forrester[/italic].

Elizabeth Berridge mostly disappeared, too
|by Anonymous||reply 27||07/08/2010|
Berridge turned up playing a cop on that short-lived John Larroquette sitcom set in a bus terminal.

The John Larroquette show, R28. She actually wasn't very good in that show, but my parents loved her in "The Powers That Be" with John Forsythe and David Hyde Pierce.

I can't even tell you how many times I've seen this movie, but I had NO idea that was Cynthia Nixon until reading this thread.

Who married F. Murray? Man or woman?
