He's still so cute.
Remember Ben Curtis, the Dell Dude?
|by Anonymous||reply 40||03/14/2013|
Did he ever come out as gay?
|by Anonymous||reply 1||04/28/2010|
|by Anonymous||reply 2||04/28/2010|
gay face for dayzzzzzz.
|by Anonymous||reply 3||04/28/2010|
He's all right.
|by Anonymous||reply 4||04/28/2010|
This is your idea of cute, OP?
|by Anonymous||reply 5||04/28/2010|
He's hotter now then he was then.
|by Anonymous||reply 6||04/28/2010|
Even the worst picture of him is better looking than 90% of the people I see everyday, R5.
|by Anonymous||reply 7||04/28/2010|
Has he finished doing all his jail time and community service for his arrest yet?
|by Anonymous||reply 8||04/28/2010|
I loved Ben. I went to NYU with Ben when he was doing those commercials years ago - one of our professors couldn't take him seriously (no one could - we expected him to act like the Dell dude :) But he was cool to do projects with in film class.
|by Anonymous||reply 9||04/28/2010|
Is it just me, or does anyone else think that he resembles Julie Brown?
|by Anonymous||reply 10||04/28/2010|
He probably gets laid...a lot.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||04/28/2010|
[quote] He probably gets laid...a lot.
Yes, but by men, women, or both?
|by Anonymous||reply 12||04/28/2010|
Not by me, dammit.
|by Anonymous||reply 13||04/29/2010|
"You may know him best as “Steven” the former spokesperson for “Steven” from DELL Computer’s 2-year national ad campaign. However, to Ben Curtis, the son of a Tennessee preacher man, being in front of people and "waking the good news" has always come naturally."
Yes, there are few things in life more worthwhile than an NYU education.

Kisses on your opening, Ben!
By the way, a great friend of mine is friends with Ben's Dad. He's gay and a complete drunk. And Ben is also gay.
|by Anonymous||reply 15||04/29/2010|
I just happened to wonder about what-ever-happen to the Dell Dude. Was surprised to see in his listing of credits is the play Take Me Out. Would have loved to have seen his performance in it.
|by Anonymous||reply 16||03/04/2013|
Why does his website stop at 2010?
|by Anonymous||reply 17||03/04/2013|
Didn't he go to jail on drug charges a couple times?
|by Anonymous||reply 18||03/04/2013|
He might have been doing plays. Be nice if the IMDB included stage work.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||03/04/2013|
Dell is tanking, and I think it might have something to do with them dropping their popular advertising campaign starring this guy.
|by Anonymous||reply 20||03/04/2013|
Dell is tanking because you can get the same damn laptop that Dell makes at half the cost in any number of other places.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||03/04/2013|
He's gay. My friend had him.
|by Anonymous||reply 22||03/04/2013|
Dell never had high quality.
|by Anonymous||reply 23||03/04/2013|
R23 Yep, Dell is a piece of shit. I learned that when I bought one of their shitty laptops back in 2003. Almost immediately I had problems with it. Don't even get me started on their useless "customer service" in India. Would never buy one of their products again.
|by Anonymous||reply 24||03/04/2013|
I agree. The worst laptop I ever purchased was a dell. The buttons on the keyboard started breaking off within a week of the purchase. Blew up in less than a year.

Seth Meyers said recently his only uncomfortable celebrity run-in was with this dude. He played Ben in a particularly ugly SNL parody.
Meyers said that Curtis was very sweet to him, nonetheless.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||03/04/2013|
I thought he had publicly said he was bisexual? I thought he was cute then. My experience with Dells has generally been positive, much better than HPs which are horrid.
|by Anonymous||reply 28||03/04/2013|
Ben Curtis is not gay. He had an interview were he said his dad was gay, he was a minister too. Then the interviewer asked if Ben was gay and he said, he tried it but it didn't interest him at all.
That's basically what Daryl Hall (Hall and Oates) said.
It IS possible to have one or two homosexual experiences and not be gay.
|by Anonymous||reply 29||03/04/2013|
Absolutely. I mean, I still like to try it a few times a month just to confirm that it's not for me, but I am definitely not gay.
|by Anonymous||reply 30||03/04/2013|
I loved those commercials, and it wasn't just that he was cute, he (the character) was also very likable. I remember he had a nerdy friend for instance, that he didn't tease but just tried to help be more cool. No one's mentioned it yet, he lost his Dell gig because he was busted for pot. Which is ridiculous, who cares, they're legalizing it now. It must've hurt his career in general because he disappeared from tv completely.
|by Anonymous||reply 31||03/04/2013|
I have had a Dell Studio laptop for 5 years with no problem what-so-ever.
|by Anonymous||reply 32||03/04/2013|
I think that I just saw him in a NY State Lottery commercial for a new Family Feud scratch off game.
|by Anonymous||reply 33||03/05/2013|
[quote]Dell is tanking because you can get the same damn laptop that Dell makes at half the cost in any number of other places.
You seriously need to GROW UP! That is NOT true!
|by Anonymous||reply 34||03/05/2013|
Howard Stern interviewed him about being dropped by Dell for the bust, which was a shitty move on Dell's part - so uncool to alienate a key target audience! Never mind the fact that the character he played was obviously a stoner. Curtis came off alright in the interview.
|by Anonymous||reply 35||03/05/2013|
That was def him in te lottery commercial...wow the Internet is a plethora of useless junk...lol.
|by Anonymous||reply 36||03/14/2013|
Was that website built in 1999 on a GeoCities template?
|by Anonymous||reply 37||03/14/2013|
My good friend had a sexual encounter with Ben a few years back when Ben was touring with his band. Evidently Ben and my friend were hanging out drinking and having a good time and he and Ben went back to his place. My friend ended up blowing Ben. Drunk & straight is usually when it's ok to be gay.
|by Anonymous||reply 38||03/14/2013|
He was very hot in those Dell commercials.
|by Anonymous||reply 39||03/14/2013|
I've had Dells for my office for years. They have AMAZING service for any problems. Good computers.
