He was a great Doctor Who. I understand he had back surgery, fucking ouch. Anyone know what happened to his pilot, the one where he plays a lawyer who is so burnt out he basically advises all his clients to represent themselves? That sounded like a fun premise to me. Was it picked up, tabled, shelved, hung on the wall in a frame or what?
|by Anonymous||reply 81||01/06/2013|
Sorry, did not search first. Too bad. He's such a cutie.
|by Anonymous||reply 2||04/19/2010|
I wouldn't call him cute.
He's not ugly, but he's not cute either. Just like a lot of British guys.
|by Anonymous||reply 3||04/19/2010|
[quote]He's not ugly, but he's not cute either. Just like a lot of British guys.
That's the nicest thing anyone's said about me all day.
It's the sideburns, isn't is?
|by Anonymous||reply 4||04/19/2010|
The British are just kind of bland - they lack the raw, passionate, fiery looks that those of other nations possess.
|by Anonymous||reply 5||04/19/2010|
I disagree. British men, with the exception of nearly all their celebrities, are hot chowder. Also usually hung, uncut, and the little bit of disdain that they politely try to hide about the fact that you're American and they secretly hate you is also a cozy bit of time by the reality fireplace.
|by Anonymous||reply 6||04/19/2010|
Another thing about British men - they aren't "pretty." And that's a compliment. The hot men look like men.
|by Anonymous||reply 7||04/19/2010|
"British men, with the exception of nearly all their celebrities, are hot chowder."
Aren't their celebrities usually more attractive than the average person in the population?
|by Anonymous||reply 8||04/19/2010|
Good observation, R8. You must be a PI or some sort of detective!
|by Anonymous||reply 9||04/19/2010|
R9, I was asking that question because it sounded like the other poster was saying that their celebrities are LESS attractive then the population at large.
|by Anonymous||reply 10||04/19/2010|
[quote]I was asking that question because it sounded like the other poster was saying that their celebrities are LESS attractive then the population at large.
Well, sideburns are attractive.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||04/19/2010|
David Tennant's pilot, Rex is Not Your Lawyer got put on hold. There is a chance it could get picked up in the fall, but I wouldn't bet on it. Bummer because not only is David hot but the show actually sounded cool.
Oh, and below is one of my fav sites! I have a total thing for guys with glasses!
|by Anonymous||reply 12||04/19/2010|
David Tennant is uncut, has a nice bush, is slender and is tall.
Other than that, he doesn't have much going for him.
|by Anonymous||reply 13||04/20/2010|
I think he's adorable. I just watched a DVD extra from 2009 San Diego comicon where he kisses John Barrowman, I think I could have watched that again and again and again....hotness.
(I found it as a torrent if you've never seen, filename is something like Doctor Who Comic Con International.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||04/20/2010|
OMG! I love that clip R14
You can also find it on youtube
|by Anonymous||reply 15||04/20/2010|
I miss Tennant on Who. The least RTD could've done before they wrapped it up was have Tennant and Simm fuck, lol.
John Simm is also some "hot chowder."
|by Anonymous||reply 16||04/20/2010|
[quote] The British are just kind of bland - they lack the raw, passionate, fiery looks that those of other nations possess.
Honestly who care? Brits have hottest accents in the world.
I ADORE a man with a British accent. If he's ugly, we can always just have sex in the dark, as long as he talks dirty! lol
|by Anonymous||reply 17||04/20/2010|
John Simm is only hot as the master. It's gotta be a power thing, I don't think he's at all attractive on his own TV show, but I'd fuck him senseless on Dr Who.
Or watch him and Tennant go at it. That'd be fun too.
|by Anonymous||reply 18||04/20/2010|
John Simm was terrible as The Master.
I wish Sir Derek Jacobi had been kept in that role, rather than regenerating him.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||04/20/2010|
Here is a GREAT clip of him on The Friday Night Project. If you have time watch the entire episode... its awesome.
(I was actually looking for the part where they asked him if he likes to be called 'doctor' in bed and he said he prefers 'master')
I couldn't find that one, but this is a close second. lol
|by Anonymous||reply 20||04/20/2010|
Me again, last post, promise.
That Friday Night Project clip made me think of this one, which I love too!
|by Anonymous||reply 21||04/20/2010|
David Tennant naked:
|by Anonymous||reply 22||04/20/2010|
Great Doctor Who spoof with David in drag!
|by Anonymous||reply 23||04/20/2010|
Great links everyone! Love the glasses link and the DW spoof.
|by Anonymous||reply 24||04/20/2010|
Hamlet premiers in the US next Weds (4/28)!
And as if David doing Shakespeare isn't enough, it also stars Patrick Stewart *swoon* (Ok, so he's old but he's still hot - plus I have a think for accents!)
|by Anonymous||reply 25||04/21/2010|
Rex is still under consideration for a fall pick up. They have focus groups running for it this week and next week, and they would not be bothering to do that if it wasn't. The announcement will be made May 17
David is currently filming a new BBC1 drama series playing a man with three children coping with the death of his wife.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||04/22/2010|
Bigger version of R22's pic.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||04/22/2010|
Thanks R25 I knew Hamlet was coming sometime soon but had forgotten about it. David Tennant and Patrick Stewart doing Shakespeare! Totally doesn't get any better then that!
Oh and R26, awesome to hear that about Rex! :)
|by Anonymous||reply 28||04/22/2010|
He is definitely uncut, R27.
|by Anonymous||reply 29||04/23/2010|
I would rather he kept working in the UK. He'd have better luck making British tv than American tv. Rex screams the type of program that will be cancelled on broadcast tv within the first few episodes; it might have a higher chance of surviving on a cable network like USA with its "characters welcome" theme but otherwise I wouldn't have high hopes for something that sounds as quirky as this show having a long run.
|by Anonymous||reply 30||04/23/2010|
That's SIR Patrick Stewart, to you common rabble.
|by Anonymous||reply 31||04/23/2010|
R30 I think Rex sounds kinda Ally McBeal-ish. Some people would say thats a bad thing, but the show was on for a number of years.
Aside from David, Rex has a great supporting cast... I love Jeffrey Tambor and Jane Curtin.
|by Anonymous||reply 32||04/23/2010|
Do you think John Barrowman ever got to see that cock?
|by Anonymous||reply 33||04/23/2010|
is that the xtra xtra long foreskin? ugh!
|by Anonymous||reply 34||04/23/2010|
It would be delightful to suck on and play with
|by Anonymous||reply 35||04/23/2010|
R33, no. But if any of the rumors are true about Barrowman pulling oit out a lot, then David may have seen his.
|by Anonymous||reply 36||04/23/2010|
It's not a rumor about John showing his cock off - it's a fact. It happens all the time and he has admitted on t.v. that he does it.
|by Anonymous||reply 37||04/23/2010|
ya think, r29 ? That's quite a bit of overhang!
|by Anonymous||reply 38||04/23/2010|
But it's nice to suck on an overhang, yes, R38?
|by Anonymous||reply 39||04/23/2010|
Apparently he tied the end because he was being photographed that night (it's from an unpublished press shoot for a play he did in the 90s, which a fan actually stole from the theatre's archive collection and put online), and I guess didn't want to be too revealing, or perhaps to prevent any possibility of erection, so that's perhaps not quite its natural state.
|by Anonymous||reply 40||04/23/2010|
[quote] Apparently he tied the end
Huh? Not sure what you mean...
|by Anonymous||reply 41||04/23/2010|
The end is not tied.
And tying a cock would be more likely to cause an erection, not prevent it.
|by Anonymous||reply 42||04/24/2010|
It is tied -- look at the end. It's something actors do when they have nude scenes.
|by Anonymous||reply 43||04/24/2010|
FYI the 'Rex' pilot was re-edited and a voice-over added, and the new pilot tested well. New scripts have been ordered. So it looks like David will be LA bound.
|by Anonymous||reply 44||04/24/2010|
Heres a link on what R44 said. Interesing page in general.
|by Anonymous||reply 45||04/24/2010|
Cool R44. I really really hope Rex gets picked up. I LOVE David, but it also sounds like a cool show.
|by Anonymous||reply 46||04/24/2010|
His new British show sounds pretty good too.
|by Anonymous||reply 47||04/24/2010|
R32, I remember when Ally McBeal was on. Fox gave it a ton of promotion and prime timeslot and was enormously supportive of it its entire run. I'm not sure if I could see NBC doing that with Rex.
Has the new pilot leaked anywhere yet or is it too soon?
|by Anonymous||reply 48||04/24/2010|
R48 At least it isn't on FOX
|by Anonymous||reply 49||04/24/2010|
Is Fox much worse than NBC? They're more trigger-happy but otherwise no basic cable network is very patient with new shows these days. Either you're an immediate hit or you're shuffled off to a worse timeslot and cancelled.
Is Rex supposed to be traditional half-hour sitcom with laugh track?
|by Anonymous||reply 50||04/24/2010|
Some guy's unofficial blog on David Tennant and his projects including Rex news.
|by Anonymous||reply 51||04/24/2010|
Rex is an hour long dramedy, or as David describes it, "a drama with funny bits." No laugh track.
|by Anonymous||reply 52||04/24/2010|
"It is tied -- look at the end. It's something actors do when they have nude scenes."
R43, get real. Uncut guys do not tie off their cocks. It would constrict the skin and cause an erection. None of the uncut guys I have seen do nude scenes (eg. Ewan McGregor, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Rupert Graves etc) do that.
It is not tied. It is just foreskin overhang.
|by Anonymous||reply 53||04/24/2010|
I'm psyched to see how he does with Hamlet!
|by Anonymous||reply 54||04/24/2010|
He's just so talented! He can go from being the Doctor to doing comedy to doing Shakespeare. Love him!
|by Anonymous||reply 55||04/25/2010|
R43 obviously skipped school when they did basic human anatomy. That's a perfectly normal uncut cock. It look much like mine, and many others I've had the pleasure of seeing.
|by Anonymous||reply 56||04/25/2010|
It absolutely is, r39. :p
|by Anonymous||reply 57||04/25/2010|
So did the re-done Rex pilot use a different script? Televisionary seemed to like the original script:
|by Anonymous||reply 58||04/25/2010|
It's more or less the same script. They didn't actually remake the pilot (didn't reshoot anything) just added a voice over and reedited some parts.
|by Anonymous||reply 59||04/25/2010|
Voice over? As in Mary Alice? Ugh.
|by Anonymous||reply 60||04/25/2010|
I wonder who gets to suck on it, R57?
|by Anonymous||reply 61||04/25/2010|
I'm curious to see how his American accent sounds.
|by Anonymous||reply 62||04/25/2010|
I would rather they let him use his regular Scottish accent, it sounds so cool and sexy. Having him do an American accent just negates the point of casting David Tennant.
|by Anonymous||reply 63||04/25/2010|
Don't like his Scottish accent
|by Anonymous||reply 64||04/26/2010|
I'm sure I read somewhere he'd be using his Scots accent for the part.
|by Anonymous||reply 65||04/26/2010|
David uses an American accent in Rex. He had a lot of accent training before shooting the pilot, though, so his American accent should be better, if anyone's heard it before.
|by Anonymous||reply 66||04/26/2010|
I heard him reading something with an American accent and it wasn't sounded kinda bad, so its good to know he's getting accent training.
On another note, Hamlet is on Wednesday! I am so excited! I love Shakespeare and I love David and I love Patrick Stewart. The only obsession of mine missing is John Barrowman, but the man can't act so I can only imagine how he'd massacre Shakespeare! LOL!
|by Anonymous||reply 67||04/27/2010|
|by Anonymous||reply 68||04/28/2010|
|by Anonymous||reply 69||04/28/2010|
He is very pretty in drag. Almost as pretty as Dave Foley in drag.
|by Anonymous||reply 70||04/29/2010|
Thats pretty freaky R70. Thanks for that image...
|by Anonymous||reply 71||04/29/2010|
I've seen him do funny drag in a Doctor Who spoof from Friday Night Party and it was funny. But THAT is just scary (because he does make a pretty woman. freaky)
|by Anonymous||reply 72||04/29/2010|
Aparently Rex is Not Your Lawyer did not get picked up. NBC sucks!!
(But, they did have the sense to cancel Heroes though)
|by Anonymous||reply 73||05/14/2010|
That sucks! I was looking forward to it. David aside it sounded like a neat show.
The show had buzz among young people... that should be enough to pick it up. I guess the people at NBC haven't learned much since the Leno fiasco.
|by Anonymous||reply 74||05/15/2010|
|by Anonymous||reply 75||05/17/2010|
Tennant is Scottish not British.
|by Anonymous||reply 76||01/05/2012|
Scotland's not a republic yet, dearie
|by Anonymous||reply 77||01/05/2012|
His wife's currently heavily pregnant (her third kid), and their first anniversary was only a couple of weeks ago. Tennant announced it on a chat show tonight, and looked like he wanted to commit suicide. Of course this is the first time he's ever publicly acknowledged her existence and not freaked out when an interviewer mentioned her.
|by Anonymous||reply 78||01/05/2013|
Oh sorry didn't realize this was such an old thread. Used the search feature because I remembered a thread talking about their marriage and rumors about it recently and this was all I could find.
|by Anonymous||reply 79||01/05/2013|
David Tennant's new series 'Broadchurch' to air on BBC America in 2013
Also starring Arthur Darvill!
|by Anonymous||reply 80||01/05/2013|
All the threads about their relationship seem to get deleted, r79.
I've heard they have an arrangement. She gets very well paid and gets to be a SAHM with a bunch of nannies, and he gets to go off on location for months on end, have discreet relations on the side, and play daddy on weekends. Obviously works for them. He has his own separate home in London.
