So said Cloris Leachman on Jay Leno on Thursdays show.
Gene Hackman had an affair with Walter Brennen.

The thought of Gene Hackman having a gay affair to incredibly hot -- but with Walter Brennan? It's insane. Even by the 1950s -- when Gene would have presumably been starting his career -- Walter had no "Power" in Hollywood, and had gone to fat (not that Walter thin was all that much to look at). There could not have been any reason for Gene Hackman to have an affair with that old toad.
Cloris is truly off her rocker.

so that Kathy Griffin Gene Hackman joke was true! He totally slipped under the radar because the gay weren't interested.
|by Anonymous||reply 2||September 26, 2008 8:34 AM|
I thought she said she had an affair with Gene.
|by Anonymous||reply 3||September 26, 2008 8:37 AM|
wasn't he once Dustin Hoffman's roommate?
|by Anonymous||reply 4||September 26, 2008 8:39 AM|
Gene was hot in The French Connection and maybe Superman also.
|by Anonymous||reply 5||September 26, 2008 8:44 AM|
Gene was hot well into his fifties.
But is r3 right, that Cloris really said SHE had the affair with him?
|by Anonymous||reply 6||September 26, 2008 8:50 AM|
Walter was said to be horse-hung.
|by Anonymous||reply 7||September 26, 2008 9:19 AM|
Please help me get that picture out of my mind!
|by Anonymous||reply 8||September 26, 2008 9:20 AM|
That's just sick.
|by Anonymous||reply 9||September 26, 2008 9:30 AM|
Yes! Yes! He was my ... boyfriend!
|by Anonymous||reply 10||September 26, 2008 10:09 AM|
Who among us has not longed to have an affair with Walter Brennan? Also Gabby Hayes.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||September 26, 2008 10:39 AM|
What's amazing is that, even though not actually related, Eileen Brennan has aged into the spitting image of Walter circa "The Real McCoys."
|by Anonymous||reply 12||September 26, 2008 10:41 AM|
Think of all the famous guys Cher has fucked. I can absolutely see Cloris and Gene Hackman going at it. (Remember Gene Simmons and Diana Ross were a couple once.) I read somewhere that Marlon Brando said he had a thing for Cloris Leachman in the '60s.
|by Anonymous||reply 13||September 26, 2008 10:51 AM|
Marlon Brando also had a thing for Wally Cox, so I could see that.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||September 26, 2008 10:58 AM|
Gene Hackman is still alive. Did she really say that?
|by Anonymous||reply 15||September 26, 2008 10:59 AM|
OP is an idiot.
I saw the show, and Cloris said no such thing.
Cloris did say that she was walking down a Manhattan street one day many years ago and encountered an old friend, George Furth, walking with Gene Hackman. George introduced Cloris to Gene and the two of them had dinner together, where they flirted and later that evening had sex.
Jay, in an effort to be funny, asked Cloris if she was going to reveal in her forthcoming book if she had ever slept with any well known actors, and he slipped in the name of Walter Brennan, mainly so he would have an opportunity to do his half-ass imitation of Walter as Grandpa McCoy.
|by Anonymous||reply 16||September 26, 2008 11:05 AM|
I believe Walter Brennan still holds the record for most Oscars won by a male actor, a total of three, all for Best Supporting Actor.
|by Anonymous||reply 17||September 26, 2008 11:13 AM|
Cloris Leachman was a beauty queen. I don't doubt Brando and Hackman found her attractive. Ever seen "Kiss Me Deadly?" That legs of that woman running down the road at night belong to Cloris.
|by Anonymous||reply 18||September 26, 2008 11:17 AM|
R17, Jack Nicholson has 3 -- Best Actror for "Cuckoo's Nest" and "As Good As It Gets" and a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for "Terms of Endearment."
|by Anonymous||reply 19||September 26, 2008 1:10 PM|
r16 has it right. It was Cloris and Hackman who had a one-nighter.
|by Anonymous||reply 20||September 26, 2008 1:28 PM|
I don't think Hackman was ever attractive but he was kinda sexy in The Poseidon Adventure and The Conversation.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||September 26, 2008 1:45 PM|
I can remember Gene being his sexiest in some confrontation (or seduction?) scene with Jenne Tripplehorn in that John Grisham movie where Jeanne played Tom Cruise's wife. But for me, anyway, Gene was MUCH sexier than Tom EVER was.
Sorry, can't remember the name of the silly movie.
|by Anonymous||reply 22||September 26, 2008 1:55 PM|
"The Firm" was the film, r22.
|by Anonymous||reply 23||September 26, 2008 2:04 PM|
And Gene was not sexy in THE CONVERSATION.
|by Anonymous||reply 24||September 26, 2008 2:12 PM|
The sexiest thing about "The Firm" was David Strathairn as Tom's brother, Ray.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||September 26, 2008 2:12 PM|
R16 & R20 are the wrong. I went to NBc.com and watched the clip. Cloris did indeed say Gene Hackman and Walter Brennen had an affair.
R16 & 20 are PR shills for Hackman.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||September 26, 2008 5:40 PM|
Maybe she meant Will Geer.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||September 26, 2008 5:42 PM|
Gene Hackman - Born 1930
Walter Brennen - Born 1894
|by Anonymous||reply 28||September 26, 2008 5:48 PM|
Not Will Geer - he was gay and out.
|by Anonymous||reply 29||September 26, 2008 5:57 PM|
All this Water Brennen & Gene Hackman talk is giving me a wobbly.
|by Anonymous||reply 30||September 26, 2008 6:01 PM|
OP, why do you keep lying? Even before you got called on it, no one cared all that much about this news.
|by Anonymous||reply 31||September 26, 2008 6:01 PM|
All of us at here at the nursing home are turned-on with this kind of wild hawt sex talk. Some of us have our beds cranked-up for the first time in years. Kraftmatic beds are the best, they put body parts within reach the might otherwise atrophy and fall off.

Early Walter Brennan photo:
|by Anonymous||reply 33||September 26, 2008 6:14 PM|
Gene Hackman is a greedy, sloppy bottom who needs to learn how to douche.
|by Anonymous||reply 34||September 30, 2008 6:20 PM|
What was Kathy Griffin's Hackman joke?
|by Anonymous||reply 35||September 30, 2008 6:43 PM|
Walter Brennan had one of the largest cocks in Hollywood. It was legendary. Even straight men would roll over and play bottom just to get a plowing by one of history's hottest male appendages.
|by Anonymous||reply 36||September 30, 2008 6:51 PM|
It makes a lot more sense when you put this whole thread in the context of "That mule, Old Rivers and Me.'
|by Anonymous||reply 37||September 30, 2008 7:01 PM|
Walter Brennan went to my high school. Swampscott High, in Swampscott, MA.
It is a little-known fact, even in town.
|by Anonymous||reply 38||September 30, 2008 7:02 PM|
Oh yes R29, Will Geer talked about being gay all the time when he was on the Tonight Show.
|by Anonymous||reply 39||September 30, 2008 7:12 PM|
Here's Gene and Cloris 36 years ago:
Cloris Hot. Gene Not.
|by Anonymous||reply 40||September 30, 2008 7:17 PM|
Gene was HOT dressed in drag in "The Birdcage."
"White makes me look fat!"
|by Anonymous||reply 41||September 30, 2008 7:19 PM|
She has that kind of Susan Lucci fake laugh in her acceptance speech R40, but she does look pretty damn good for 46.
|by Anonymous||reply 42||September 30, 2008 7:21 PM|
link to clip please........
|by Anonymous||reply 43||September 30, 2008 7:25 PM|
Always lusted after Gene. I'd do him.
|by Anonymous||reply 44||September 30, 2008 11:40 PM|
"The thought of Gene Hackman having a gay affair to incredibly hot"
I'm sure the thought of younger men than yourself getting it on is incredibly hot to you, Senator McCain, but it leaves the rest of us somewhat cold.
|by Anonymous||reply 45||September 30, 2008 11:51 PM|
When Cloris and Charlotte Rae graduated from college in Chicago and moved to the Upper West Side they were "roommates". Do you think they got it on?
|by Anonymous||reply 46||September 30, 2008 11:56 PM|
When Walt dropped his pants, Gene exclaimed "that sure is The Real McCoy".
|by Anonymous||reply 47||September 30, 2008 11:58 PM|
You are kidding right? Gene hackman isn't gay is he?
|by Anonymous||reply 48||October 1, 2008 12:00 AM|
Spencer Tracy won three Best Actor Oscars.
And Ann Margret is hilariously, embarrassingly serious in that clip. Is she praying?
|by Anonymous||reply 49||October 1, 2008 4:17 AM|
No, r49 only two. He won for "Captains Courageous" and "Boy's Town". He was nominated posthumously for "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" but he did not win.
