When you've thought you've seen it all

A woman at a local deli trying to return a non-winning lottery tickets.

"I said, sell me a winner and I didnt' get one number I want my money back."

"Ma'am there are no refunds on lottery tickets."

"When I said sell me a winner no one said I couldn't bring it back, you made a false claim and I want my money back."

"Ma'am we claimed nothing."

"I said I want a winner and you didn't tell me what you had was losing number."

She was furious and refused to take no for an answer, until he picked up the phone to call the police.

I call Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire. NO store clerk says, 'Ma'am', these days.

"Ma'am we claimed nothing."

Learn to troll a little bit better next time, and it might not sound so unbelievable.

In NY they do.

The middle eastern men in all my local deli's always use sir and ma'am. They learn a very formal type of speach at school. It may be abandoned when they become more familiar with english but for now I lvoe the manners.

We use sir and ma'am here in the south.

If you want to fuck with a clerk's mind say very seriously when you buy a lottery ticket that Jesus told you you're going to win.

by Anonymousreply 502/21/2008

If she was so "right" why didn't she stick around and wait for the police?

Just sayin'

OP Here and she didn't stick around for the police.

She was clearly drunk.

I always adore those who claim est and troll at every post. If something falls outside of their experience it cannot be true.

I do feel for you who has such limited life experience you have never experienced manners.

Don't take it personally, OP. I posted something a few weeks ago that was true and it offended so many people it was flagged off! Selfish, self-centered people can't believe anything remotely bizarre unless they have personally seen it with their eyes or experienced it themselves. And there are a LOT of selfish, self-centered people in the world.

I don't take it personally.

I do feel for those with such a limited life.

If it didn't happen in Mama's basement, it didn't happen.
