They remain the only generation who consistently approves whatever Trump is doing.
Donald Trump's approval ratings keep improving with Gen X voters
by Anonymous | reply 29 | July 18, 2025 8:44 PM |
That's because they're brain dead idiots.
You can't fix stupid.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | July 18, 2025 6:19 AM |
Sick fucks.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | July 18, 2025 6:26 AM |
I never thought that GenX would turn out to be so evil.
They're the absolute WORST.
Worse than Hitler!
by Anonymous | reply 3 | July 18, 2025 6:32 AM |
But I thought boomers were the problem…
by Anonymous | reply 4 | July 18, 2025 6:44 AM |
Oh look! Clickbait that broadly categorizes an entire generation based on a desperate piece of Internet garbage.
Go fuck yourself, OP.

Newsweek. Highbrow reading for 7-11 customers.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | July 18, 2025 6:45 AM |
Not to defend Newsweek or these results, but this does come from a highly-rated pollster.
[quote]According to a CNN/SSRS survey, Trump's popularity has increased by 23 points since April with voters aged 50 to 64. The polling shows that this age group – who fall under Gen X, born 1965-1980 – is the only demographic where Trump is enjoying a net positive approval rating.

R7 aww what a shame for them that they're about to get eclipsed by Millennial voters!
by Anonymous | reply 8 | July 18, 2025 7:19 AM |
I think that any gloves that still exist between Gen X and Millennials are about to come off.

The link refuting the article and justifying your rudeness failed to post. Could you repost? Thanks!

funny how none of my genx friends support the lying, treasonous rapist, but do go off.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | July 18, 2025 8:02 AM |
something about the methodology of this poll seems off. in april, dump had a net favorable of -13. same age group for july is +19. that’s a swing of 23 points in dump’s favor on the last 3 months. that is impossible.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | July 18, 2025 8:11 AM |
oops- +10, not +19.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | July 18, 2025 8:12 AM |
Not buying it.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | July 18, 2025 10:22 AM |
Yeah, well, we weren't buying all those polls showing him trouncing K-hole in November either. I've made the exact same mistake of ignoring polls twice now, and I won't make it again. But by all means, go ahead and pretend he's universally disliked if that helps you cope better.

Polls > anecdotal data

I always thought we were the coolest generation. What do Wynona Ryder, Sean Penn and Ethan Hawke think? And Debbie Gibson?
by Anonymous | reply 17 | July 18, 2025 10:43 AM |
If you think of a generation in cohorts rather than as a monolith, it’s easier to make sense of it. Think of the people at your high school, not your job or college. For every five of us who protested the Iraq war or apartheid, there were six who didn’t card or thought otherwise. They saw 9/11 as a call to American tribalism, the financial collapse as a call to selfish individualism, and Rodney King’s beating as a call to stand behind cops.

Millennials are just about to school them on how to steal a baton from a Boomer.

"Justifying your rudeness," R10? Bitch, where the fuck do you think you are?? This is not a goddamn garden party, Cuntessa. Tell your servant girl to grab the smelling salts the next time you post because you're far too fucking dainty to take the heat here. Now fold up your fan and flounce off. Bitch.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | July 18, 2025 11:30 AM |
You don't need to steal my baton, r19.
Take the fucking thing already.

Meanwhile, Gen Z young men define "masculity" as Trump.
“He raised his fist in the air and said, 'Fight, fight, fight.’ I think not only is that just a masculine trait, but I think it’s also something that embodies the American spirit,” -- Gen Z

I'm Gen X and not a single friend I currently know voted for Trump. At the same time I haven't engaged with anyone I went to high school with in decades and looking back at those mouthbreathers, I'm sure the majority turned out to be hard core Trumpers.
R18 is correct. We all have our individual circles, and as gays our circles more likely left, but if someone is the much more common type who knocked up their high school girlfriend and never left the shithole they grew up in, worked for decades in whatever the local industry is, watching FOX news and never being exposed to different cultures and scratching their head at every form of social change since 1980, yeah, that's probably a hard core trumper. We all know these types.

In spite of OP's endless posts trolling Gen X as the Trump gen, most of the Trumpeters I know in LA are in fact Boomers. They have all the money too. They are very black and white about crime, the border, socialism, Israel etc.

You have to look at the issues questions in the same poll to get an understanding. There are a few issues that this age group gives Trump a majority support for, but the issue with the most support is immigration. I assumed that was going to be case and the reason I checked the poll was to see if I was right.
People older have probably given up on fixing the illegal immigration problem and people younger haven’t lived as long to appreciate how long the problem has been going on. People in the 50-64 age group are liking seeing the immigration enforcement they’ve been waiting for,
On the questions asking if specific parts of the BBB should be regarded as a reason to support the bill or to oppose it, the 50-64 age group had a whopping 64% agreement that the immigration enforcement spending in the bill was a reason to support it.
If the Trump administration were to let up on enforcing immigration law, it’s likely that the Trump support from this age group would become closer to other groups.

wrong, r25. genX is the first generation to grow up with undocumented immigrants as care givers. we know exactly how important they are.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | July 18, 2025 6:29 PM |
I wanted to say, "I don't know WHO in Gen X you're talking about" except . . . I do. They are the people from college who went right back to the 'burbs after graduation.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | July 18, 2025 8:09 PM |
The ‘burbs are pretty solidly split, r27. Those close to cities are mostly blue. It’s rural areas and small cities that propped up MAGA.

Interesting that your only response is to be unhinged and stupid. We are still waiting on your data correcting OP.
