How Come…?

Every crime scene discussed on a true crime show is described by one of the cops as the bloodiest or most gruesome scene they’ve seen in their career?

It’s annoying.

Ha. I'm watching the Prime doc on the Idaho college murders and they've said similar. They did show blood LEAKING from the house.

It was the leakiest scene of my career, R1

Just a guess, but maybe because the TV producers don't drop by with camera crews to discuss the tidiest, least bloody, least gruesome of crime scenes.

Because most cops only see one or two super gruesome scenes in their whole career. Also, cops are all one and the same in your mind, like they all work at the same precinct, Not so!

Well, OP, the crime is on TV for a very good reason, including its shock value. And, no matter what it might seem, most police officers don't encounter gruesome murders every day (car accidents, yes). Most never even shoot their weapon.

“This story will SHOCK you…”

"She lit up every room with her smile...."

“She wanted a date with the man of her dreams. What she got was a date…with death!”

R8's post sounds like something that Bill Hader would say while imitating Keith Morrison.

by Anonymousreply 9July 17, 2025 1:52 PM

"It was a pretty standard crime scene. Blood, guts, corpses. If you've seen one, you've seen 'em all."

by Anonymousreply 10July 17, 2025 3:29 PM

R5, R3 already condescended. And did it much better.
