They are shooting him as if he's Jacob Elordi but he doesn't have the face card to hold the camera's gave from every angle. Also doesn't help 3-4 other actors are much hotter. Good luck to Austin but I don't know if he be able to maintain our attention.

R26 agreed. Everything about him feels like a big act. It’s annoying. Anne Hathaway is similar. She never feels genuine or authentic unless she’s being bitchy, and that is when you see her true nature.

Very few actors feel real, but usually it’s not 100% of themselves feeling like an act the way it does with Butler.

You guys are just jealous he went from Nickelodeon star to Oscar nominee in his first major role.

Austin Butler is dreamboat hot until you start to see a younger, taller, Kirk Cameron but with talent and minus the Jesus taint, but still, try and not morph their faces together sometime when you're thinking of AI ideas now or sometime down the road, and he's hot until you realize you still want to fuck Kirk Cameron..

Fell asleep first episode in. Butler’s voice is annoying and hard to hear. Yeah, it’s a no from me dawg.

Barry Keoghan is a very fine actor but is somewhat misguided in this current marketing of his persona. He looks uncomfortable in this outfit and others he wore recently (the clothes are wearing him). It seems like he reincarnated the false persona of Saltburn. Hope either he or someone managing him realizes this a a bad move and will change it going forward.

Butler is fine but doesn’t have a face meant to be shot from all angles.

I found the first episode dull, and the acting wasn't convincing. And it's hardly important, but the title sequence was so overdone it felt more like a soap than a prestige series.

People who watched he series say they found it disappointing. It's no Band of Brothers.

Absolutely NOT Band of Brothers, in any way. The air scenes were exciting, but beyond that the show is a disjunct mess. Austin Butler, while barely in it, is a charisma void. The rest of the actors are meh to crap. But the air scenes are terrifying and give you a real sense of what it felt like up there. That’s the only reason I’d recommend it. People need to be reminded what WW2 was and what it was for.

Having finally caught up by binge watching 7 episodes in a row. It was a very average show and certainly not a match for BoB or even The Pacific. But by the end I did genuinely like the bond between Buck and Bucky (and going by what fandom exists so did a lot of people)..
