I love these two so much, and I feel so awful for them and their family.

I met them at a Los Angeles Habit for Humanity event in the mid-90s I worked. The Carters made sure to meet and shake hands with all the volunteers to thank us for our time.

One thing that struck me at the Carter Museum was that the outfits they had of hers (wedding dress, inaugural gown, some other snazzy event dress, were 100% stylish today. You can't say that of everything from the 40's and certainly not the 70's
