I think Travis did a great job. And his brother is adorable. Like a big teddy bear!

God the man is hot. Not model hot or even actor hot. Just man hot.

And he did a fantastic job. Shockingly so.

The writing was actually sexually charged and daring. Which was a nice change.

I didn't watch the show. But while I don't think he"s gorgeous, and I know basically nothing about him, I do think Kelce is a hottie.

Travis did a great job. The football players who have made it on to SNL — I’m thinking about JJ Watt in particular — just seem to have a different work ethic when they approach this task. I think that a lot of the hosts who are actors, as well as many of the cast members on the show, believe that they are always brilliant and constantly, amazingly funny so that they don’t have to put much effort into it — it’ll all just work out in the end. Sadly, they are often neither funny or amusing and the skits consistently fall flat.

This show, on the other hand, made me laugh more than any other in a very long time.

R119, I agree! And I HATED every second of the Woody Harrelson tragedy last week. Last night was simple fun! Cast was engaged, writing solid and what a game and delightful host.

Something tells me this will be Longfellow's only season with the show. His Dilbert sucked. He just cannot play characters. Brings nothing to any of his bits. He just seems so ill at ease with everything.

I never heard of this SNL host, but he did okay. Kind of funny and a pretty good comedic actor.

I also don't know this guy from a hole in the wall, but the audience is all excited. He's funny, but never heard of him.

He plays the sport "football" R127. They have a championship each year, called "The Super Bowl." Bowl because football "stadiums" used to all look like big bowls. It's a popular sport in the USA. And the event is very popular. Sometimes "pop stars" sing at the event during "half time".

Travis was charming and fun. The writing was bad as usual. I was particularly surprised how many laughs the American girl doll sketch got. It was so predictable and lame.

No drag sketch. No homoerotic sketch. The freak sketch was the Doll Cafe sketch. It was funny because he went all balls in, and was not a typical host with a wink and a nod. Am I wrong, but are these the specialty of Mikey Day?

R104 I think he did so well because he is used to prepping and studying a playbook for games.

Football teams have dozens of plays to memorize so I bet he could take a quick glance at the cue cards and "get" everything for his part throughout each sketch.

Same for the Manning brothers, especially Peyton, who is well known for being almost fanatical with his preparation.

The new SNL cast is most a big fat dud.

Lorne Michaels let too many long-standing cast members go last year. SNL lost about seven or eight cast members all in one fell swoop. That's too many all at once. And now there are just too many new ones all in the same year.

Well it looks like Pete Davidson is finally on his long-expected, long-anticipated goodbye tour, in true SNL fashion.

I’ve only watched a couple of eps over the last 5 years. Totally superficial observation, but they need some more attractive men in the cast. A lot of the praise Kelce is getting is that he is good looking and brought some masculine energy. I know the show has never been known for casting attractive men, but maybe they need to switch it up.

Are you talking about his “memo” line? I guess the point of it is that Dilbert is an unfunny and dated comic, but then again so is SNL’s humor, and the joke about the joke was equally unfunny.

When Gardner started, I thought she showed promise, but now she annoys me so much. I can’t even put my finger on it.

That said, I feel like the whole cast stepped up a little bit this week. A lot of them were just a little bit better than normal. Bowen even played a character that wasn’t just Bowen.

I also think that after Lisa from Temecula caught on last week, there were several attempts to create original recurring characters. The singing couple that Ego and the other guy played. Bowen’s Hinge date character. And so on.

I cringe whenever J=Heidi is in a sketch. I really wanted her to go last season.

HOWEVER, the idea of Kilmeade privately stewing about being played by a gay Asian more than compensates for any lack of credulity.

I didn't realise the host was NOT Chris Hemsworth, because I tuned in after the monologue. I thought - wow Liam is getting really stocky. it was only in the 2nd or 3rd sketch I said, WAIT A MINUTE....

I liked that one too. Kelce really impressed me, and the sketch that called him out as a missing Hemsworth Brother was spot on. Didn't think his brother looked particularly good or had any discernible entertainment talent though.
