Well, I guess I have to cancel it now.
Timothée Chalamet is Apple TV’s new spokesmouse
by Anonymous | reply 131 | February 21, 2023 1:34 PM |
Oh, please.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | January 20, 2023 6:34 PM |
Why is the world's biggest movie star (according to his fangirls) having to resort to endorsement deals?
by Anonymous | reply 2 | January 20, 2023 7:26 PM |
What are the chances he posts on social media more about Apple than he ever did about Bones and All?
by Anonymous | reply 3 | January 20, 2023 7:27 PM |
Chalamet on endorsement deals in his Vogue interview
[quote]“When [success] came my way, I felt very particular that I didn’t want people and I really didn’t want to see myself cashing in,”
Of course, that was all of...five months ago...
by Anonymous | reply 4 | January 20, 2023 7:32 PM |
...and a year after he'd signed an endorsement deal with Cartier
by Anonymous | reply 5 | January 20, 2023 7:33 PM |
I'm not a fan of his looks, but he actually looks good, tthere.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | January 20, 2023 7:35 PM |
Apple TV+ actually
by Anonymous | reply 7 | January 20, 2023 7:38 PM |
Somebody started to feel jealous of all the attention Butler got and decided to do a pointless video exercise.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | January 20, 2023 9:18 PM |
A legend in his own narcissistic mind.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | January 20, 2023 9:19 PM |
The idiots over at Apple picked for their spokesman some talent free twat whose last movie flopped like a pancake.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | January 20, 2023 9:21 PM |
Hmm, wonder where they got the idea that Chalamet is a huge egotist from...
by Anonymous | reply 11 | January 20, 2023 9:44 PM |
He’ll have to be sedated if Butler wins the Oscar.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | January 20, 2023 9:47 PM |
I love him and all things Apple!
by Anonymous | reply 13 | January 20, 2023 9:48 PM |
R12: And at this point I’m actually kind of hoping it happens just to see Timo’s reaction and what he’ll do afterwards.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | January 20, 2023 9:51 PM |
So he's going to be the face of Ted Lasso and Slow Horses is he? Right, ok.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | January 20, 2023 9:54 PM |
Love you, Timmy. Hope you do a series on apple+. Fuck these ossified Datalounge bitchcunts.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | January 20, 2023 10:04 PM |
r14 Even better when he then has to do Dunc PR with him!

by Anonymous | reply 18 | January 20, 2023 11:04 PM |
DL never fails to go in on Timmy lol. I actually think he looks cute here.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | January 20, 2023 11:28 PM |
[quote] Even better when he then has to do Dunc PR with him!
Oh, yes. I forgot to tell you: the spice exists on only one planet in the entire universe. A desolate, dry planet with vast deserts. Hidden away within the rocks of these deserts are a people known as the Fremen, who have long held a prophecy that a man would come, a messiah who would lead them to true freedom. The planet is Arrakis, also known as Dunc.

I think Tim-o-tay is beautiful l, but he has an ass like a pancake.

Wonka can't crash and burn fast enough.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | January 20, 2023 11:47 PM |
The rat wants to remind you all that HE is the last movie star despite no existing evidence on record.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | January 21, 2023 12:01 AM |
He's a desperate man obviously.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | January 21, 2023 12:49 AM |
What does anybody like about this guy? He’s a jackass.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | January 21, 2023 1:32 AM |
I just cancelled my Apple TV subscription. There was nothing on there anyway and now this.
This is some shit, up with which we will not put.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | January 21, 2023 1:55 AM |
R2: You know they’re getting worried when they have to do videos like this.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | January 21, 2023 2:14 AM |
After his last two movies, I’m guessing he figures the more exposure/distractions the better.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | January 21, 2023 2:42 AM |
R28: Which movies?
by Anonymous | reply 29 | January 21, 2023 2:50 AM |
The ones that bombed R29. I know that doesn't help much but it's a start.
Chalamet is box office poison.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | January 21, 2023 2:53 AM |
I don’t get all the hate for him on here - he’s just the latest successful pretty-boy actor in a line that goes all the way back to fucking Valentino.
He’s neither curing cancer or coming for your gas ranges and caftans. Did you all bitch this much about Pitt & Depp 30 years ago?
by Anonymous | reply 31 | January 21, 2023 3:04 AM |
R30: I know about Bones & All but what was the other one?
by Anonymous | reply 32 | January 21, 2023 3:06 AM |

Could you tell him and his publicist that, please?
And Pitt and Depp actually had some success to their name when 'the next big thing' type hype started with them.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | January 21, 2023 3:16 AM |
Shpokeshmoushe.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | January 21, 2023 12:57 PM |
The mouse is at Paris Fashion Week.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | January 21, 2023 2:19 PM |
I’m assuming this video was the agent’s idea. The one that said he hasn’t auditioned for anything in seven years.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | January 21, 2023 2:35 PM |
R35: The issue is he's not leading man material in any way, shape, or form. The idiots running Hollywood think he's Gen Z's or the Millenials' answer to DiCaprio because Gen Z needs a leading man but he will never have a huge career like DiCaprio. Once he can no longer play a kid, he'll be done.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | January 21, 2023 3:46 PM |
r39 Yeah, there's a thread of r/movies about this ad, and this comment sums it up
[quote]If a movie requires a foppy-haired waif, Chalamet is the guy. In any other role — cannibal, warrior, regular guy — he is entirely unconvincing.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | January 21, 2023 7:45 PM |
Hahahaha spokemouse, good one, OP!
by Anonymous | reply 41 | January 21, 2023 9:12 PM |
Timmy’s so hot. I will buy more Apple products now. I want to have 10 babies from him!!
by Anonymous | reply 42 | January 21, 2023 9:44 PM |
I don't if it's him or the fangirls who keep insisting the Bob Dylan film will see the light of day but they need to let that one go. That film is pretty much dead for all intents and purposes.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | January 22, 2023 12:25 AM |
Sunglasses indoors. Proof, as if it were needed, that he's a douchebag
by Anonymous | reply 44 | January 22, 2023 1:36 AM |
R44: This douchebag thinks he has longevity and that he gets roles because he's fabulous.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | January 22, 2023 1:40 AM |
Didn’t he also do a car commercial? It seems like there’s no there there. He is pretending to he’s big star but Bones and All flopped hard.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | January 22, 2023 1:41 AM |
Nepo baby / industry plant.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | January 22, 2023 1:42 AM |
r46 Oh yeah that Edward Scissorhands thing. It's hilarious how his fangirls try and pretend he's this unique intellectual artiste, and he's actually just the most basic of fame whores. Complete with a house in LA
by Anonymous | reply 48 | January 22, 2023 1:53 AM |
Kate Upton's former house, of all places. Down the street from Jennifer Lawrence and her bestie, Adele.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | January 22, 2023 3:08 AM |
Every minute of a celebrity's life is one PR orchestrated move. Of course he showed up at Paris Fashion Week the day after that laughably bad Apple TV+ promo of him dropped. There are no coincidences in Hollywood.

Timothee really isn’t as popular as we are led to believe. I’m 25 and asked my friend who’s the same age as me if he knows who Timothee is and he said no. He knows Tom Holland tho and has even heard of Austin Butler because he used to date Vanessa Hudgens but when I brought up Timothee my friend was clueless.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | January 22, 2023 4:37 AM |
It got him the attention he wanted.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | January 23, 2023 1:28 AM |
R53: He was probably starving for it. Bones & All kind of just came and went and he got zero nominations while Taylor and Mark Rylance both got at least one nomination. Obviously, however it was Butler winning a Globe on a televised award show that pushed him over the edge.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | January 23, 2023 1:45 AM |
R44: Douchebag probably wears sunglasses at night.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | January 23, 2023 3:50 AM |
Maybe he’ll end up doing getting a role on The Morning Show like Jon Hamm. Sounds like they like box office poison actors.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | January 23, 2023 6:03 AM |
I think that his body is so below average it touches a nerve with a lot of posters here. How dare he become or think of himself as a success when he looks like that….I’m worthless and so is he.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | January 23, 2023 3:03 PM |
Make no mistake they are panicking over at Team Chalamet Headquarters right now. The movie flopped hard and he didn't even get in at the Indie Spirit awards where he had won before. They can say he was borderline supporting all they want but what other high profile male actor was above him in that movie? His PR's narrative has been spoiled now that we know what happens when he doesn't have a franchise or genuine stars to help him out. Also, the rise of Austin Butler isn't making the situation any better.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | January 24, 2023 12:00 AM |
The fact he demanded a producer credit makes me think he actually thought Bones had a chance at best picture too
by Anonymous | reply 59 | January 24, 2023 12:20 PM |
This guy is everywhere but the top of the box office.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | January 24, 2023 1:03 PM |
A producing credit doesn't mean shit. All he did probably was raise some money and then go on vacation.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | January 24, 2023 1:53 PM |
He must be through the roof right now. Austin Butler, Paul Mescal, and Barry Keoghan all nominated and not a single thing for his flop film. He'll have to be put on suicide watch if Butler wins.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | January 24, 2023 2:00 PM |
Not even a lone screenplay nomination for his flop film and he was a "producer" on it.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | January 25, 2023 8:38 PM |
R64 Don't switch the blade on the guy in shades!

[quote]They want they're fashion back

by Anonymous | reply 66 | January 25, 2023 9:42 PM |
Of course he had to get the spotlight back after Mescal and Butler’s nominations.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | January 25, 2023 9:50 PM |
Ooooh. Is he going to make an appearance on the Aniston/Witherspoon Morning Shitshow?
by Anonymous | reply 68 | January 25, 2023 9:57 PM |
R68: Why do you say that?
by Anonymous | reply 69 | January 25, 2023 9:59 PM |
R66 You're right but I was hoping no one would notice 🤣
by Anonymous | reply 70 | January 25, 2023 10:12 PM |
What’s the deal with the sunglasses on 24/7? I guess he really thinks he’s that hot and at the top of the box office.
by Anonymous | reply 71 | January 26, 2023 3:26 AM |
Words cannot describe the depth of my hate for this POS.
by Anonymous | reply 72 | January 26, 2023 3:36 AM |
So we can expect commercials of Timmy for the upcoming Apple+ limited series "Masters of the Air," then?
by Anonymous | reply 73 | January 26, 2023 3:44 AM |
He is so ugly.
by Anonymous | reply 74 | January 26, 2023 4:36 AM |
He's with Deneuve. Many of us gays here would consider that enviable.
by Anonymous | reply 75 | January 26, 2023 4:47 AM |
Maybe he’s wearing the glasses because he’s been crying
Oooh that almost makes me hard thinking about it
by Anonymous | reply 76 | January 26, 2023 10:33 AM |
You're scary R76. Are you on any kind of watch list?
by Anonymous | reply 77 | January 26, 2023 10:46 AM |
Or to hide the dilated pupils
by Anonymous | reply 78 | January 26, 2023 12:13 PM |
It's obviously just a fashion statement and nothing to spazz out over. I think you guys are too harsh on this kid. He's still young and finding himself. Leave him alone.
by Anonymous | reply 79 | January 26, 2023 12:16 PM |
How old are you that 27 can be considered "still young"?
by Anonymous | reply 80 | January 26, 2023 12:18 PM |
Lol, Chalamet cannot compare to Mescal’s easy masculinity, talent, charisma, or sex appeal. And the entire industry agrees and just showed it to him by nominating Mescal for BA. Mescal is heading up the next Gladiator. Timmy would never in a million years be even considered for Gladiator. Mescal could easily replace Timmy in Dune, however. It’s not looking good for nepo baby Timtim.
by Anonymous | reply 81 | January 26, 2023 12:22 PM |
R80 I'm turning 32 this year, but I believe your 20s to be the decade of exploring yourself and finding out what works for you. You dont necessarily need to have life all figured out and most 20 somethings don't. 30 and up you should start getting more serious about life.
by Anonymous | reply 82 | January 26, 2023 12:28 PM |
I don’t know what the reason is behind the sunglasses but it’s beyond annoying. Thank God it’s the beginning of the end for this nepo baby and box office poison.
by Anonymous | reply 83 | January 26, 2023 12:57 PM |
I'd love to see an alternative history where Call Me By Your Name was a straight film, with the Hammer character played by a woman, and see just how much praise and adoration Chalamet would've gotten then.
by Anonymous | reply 84 | January 26, 2023 1:53 PM |
R84 Do you think that Timmy could not play pussyhound convincingly?
by Anonymous | reply 85 | January 26, 2023 2:32 PM |
Looks like he has a new bodyguard. The tall white guy that's been with him I think since the filming of Wonka. I guess he couldn't take all the online hate directed at him.
by Anonymous | reply 86 | January 26, 2023 3:23 PM |
The sunglasses, the bodyguard- it’s all just a status symbol. He wants people to think he’s an even bigger, successful movie star than he actually is. He won’t need the bodyguard for much longer because he’s a movie away from Hollywood realizing he can’t carry a film to profit.
by Anonymous | reply 87 | January 26, 2023 7:33 PM |
R84, Wasn't that plot done?
by Anonymous | reply 88 | January 27, 2023 12:53 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 91 | January 28, 2023 3:06 AM |

My “friend” Austin Butler.
by Anonymous | reply 95 | January 29, 2023 2:16 PM |
R93: He and his PR act like the Bob Dylan film is still happening. He did the guitar photo op after Cabo and again in 2021.
by Anonymous | reply 96 | January 29, 2023 2:25 PM |
Oh look who's suddenly active again on social media. Trying to win some attention back
by Anonymous | reply 97 | January 29, 2023 5:02 PM |

Beautiful to watch!
by Anonymous | reply 98 | January 29, 2023 5:15 PM |
R97: The whore is high on drugs.
by Anonymous | reply 99 | January 29, 2023 7:00 PM |
Crazy question, but is anyone watching the Eagles game?
Because they just showed a strange TC/Apple+ commercial. He is restlessly reclining, noting other actors with shows on Apple+, punctuating each with "I can do [comedy; weird; whatever]."
The ending is his looking into the camera, imploring, "Apple, call me."
Now, I get the self-referential "call me," but does Timothee get that his script is known as "kidding on the square"?
by Anonymous | reply 100 | January 29, 2023 8:47 PM |
After making millions and having everybody kiss his ass, I guess anybody would turn into a desperate and narcissistic attention whore.
by Anonymous | reply 101 | January 30, 2023 12:29 AM |
From the cover of Time to ...... commercials. Bitch is the new Jon Hamm.
by Anonymous | reply 102 | January 30, 2023 11:45 PM |
I’m kinda surprised at his attention seeking lately. He used to be more elusive.
by Anonymous | reply 103 | January 30, 2023 11:54 PM |
I love how this campaign points out the flaws to Apple’s entertainment strategy which is to just order projects from celebrities
The biggest hits of the past few months, Wednesday and The Last of Us, don’t star very famous people.
by Anonymous | reply 106 | January 31, 2023 11:45 AM |
R54 I actually liked Timothee in Bones and All.
by Anonymous | reply 107 | February 1, 2023 4:43 AM |
It’s the first time I got his appeal as an actor.
by Anonymous | reply 108 | February 1, 2023 4:44 AM |
Did he release a new commercial where he talks while his mouth is full of food? Stupid girl.
by Anonymous | reply 109 | February 1, 2023 5:04 AM |
R94 What is that denim vest? Is he hoping someone will remake The Outsiders, staring him? I don't know which is more mortifying: that vest or the ad.
by Anonymous | reply 110 | February 5, 2023 12:47 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 111 | February 5, 2023 3:44 AM |
SNL really did a good one on Apple last night
by Anonymous | reply 112 | February 5, 2023 11:24 AM |
It's still happening. Third one is out. I think the tone is supposed to be ironic and self-deprecating, but instead it is Le Cringe. The ad writer should find another line of work. Between this and Bones and All, I suspect Chalamet is lacking in good judgment and good guidance by those who should know better.
by Anonymous | reply 113 | February 6, 2023 4:54 PM |
Everyone is saying it will culminate in an announcement of an apple project with chalamet. I think it would be really funny if there is never a payoff. They just keep the ads going.
I thought the 1st one was funny and self deprecating. This 3rd one doesn't quite hit that vibe. The joke is wearing thin.
by Anonymous | reply 115 | February 6, 2023 5:11 PM |
I told Timmy that Gladiator 2 will stream on Apple. He said he'll promote it for us.
by Anonymous | reply 116 | February 6, 2023 5:15 PM |
I think the ads are the bomb!
by Anonymous | reply 117 | February 6, 2023 5:22 PM |
I guess the ads will keep on coming until the Oscars after which Mescal and Butler won’t be in the news nearly as much.
by Anonymous | reply 118 | February 6, 2023 8:55 PM |
I’m perversely rooting for Butler to win just to watch this mouse implode.

by Anonymous | reply 124 | February 9, 2023 12:23 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 125 | February 9, 2023 12:25 PM |
These Apple TV+ commercials are all kinds of wrong, for TC.
First of all, they are too serious to make it seem like he's in on the joke.
Secondly, there's no joke. Apple really has NOT hired him---except for these commercials. Meta!
Thirdly, TC is publicizing the works of others. I can't recall ever seeing anything similar by a major star.
Fourthly, the scripts have Timothee identifying with "art," "beauty," and "fragile" creatures such as ladybugs. Well, isn't that special?! Such arrogance in a boyish voice!
Lastly, the incredulity at not being chosen along with the humiliation of having to implore---not attractive.
What's the next one (surely to debut during the Super Bowl)? Timmy---who will not be ignored!---shows up on the doorstep of Apple TV+'s CEO, ready to camp out?
by Anonymous | reply 126 | February 9, 2023 4:30 PM |
Austin Butler may win that Oscar. Timothee is gonna push hard for the Bob Dylan film.
by Anonymous | reply 127 | February 21, 2023 7:27 AM |
Forget the actors. Think about comparing some successful biopic to not successful.
Elvis. Freddie. Ray. Johnny Cash. Dynamic, charismatic, with varying anti-establishment behaviors.
Then you have mumbling genius Dylan, whose major personal struggle wasn't with drugs or sex or illness but with religion. Maybe Joan Baez.
Who is the expected audience? I'm a Boomer who thinks "If Not For You" is underappreciated, and I don't know if I'm interested.
by Anonymous | reply 128 | February 21, 2023 10:21 AM |
R127: He already is. Last month he was spotted in NYC walking around with a guitar. He pulled the same stunt when he was with his father in the summer of 2021. He wants people think the Bob Dylan flick is still getting made. His Cabo shenanigans didn't help one iota.
by Anonymous | reply 129 | February 21, 2023 1:05 PM |
