They just let anyone into a Broadway theater these days, I guess.
Deranged heifer ruins “Death of a Salesman”

What did she actually say?
by Anonymous | reply 1 | December 29, 2022 2:17 PM |
The only thing that I could make out in the video that she said was "I watch you on TV, or "I'll watch you on TV." That, and give me my money back.
I would have liked to see her try that with Patti LuPone. Patti would have leapt from the stage, and clocked her.

I am disappointed that there was no actual bovine presence. This is what Broadway needs,

She’s wearing a fur coat and had an orchestra seat—so must be a woman of means.
She’s also a nut

When will she sue the theater and police for assault and racial discrimination?
by Anonymous | reply 7 | December 29, 2022 9:38 PM |
So. Strange. What was the problem
by Anonymous | reply 8 | December 29, 2022 10:40 PM |
The Hollywood Reporter suggested this shameful incident is the result of intoxicated theater goers.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | December 29, 2022 10:55 PM |
The lead actor prolonged this terrible incident. The stage manager asked all performers to leave the stage while this was handled and instead, he attempted to reason with an unreasonable person.
On TikTok, a video has been shared that recorded another disruptive audience member yelling at theater goers in a separate incident. Datalounge will not permit me to link the footage here.
I stay home, people are wearying.

What trash. I saw Hadestown the other day and some fat bastard in the back kept coughing loudly as if any moment he would drop dead. An usher escorted him out and he made a fuss about it. That was bad enough. This belligerent beast in OP's video should never have tried to attend. Stay home if you can't be decent.

Not following protocol makes bad situation, worse.
This incident reminded me of the Academy Award fiasco. Things sometimes go sideways but there is a protocol that deals with situation that go sideways.
When the stage manager advises the performers to leave the stage, follow those directions.
Smith charges the stage to assault a peer? You treat that situation like any other medical emergency.
The program goes to commercial and you attend to those in need of medical treatment.
You don't keep the camera rolling and allow Smith to remain in attendance to receive the award.

This is old news but this incident disturbed me. What a disgraceful incident, infuriating really.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | January 24, 2023 1:05 AM |
Patti LuPone would've leapt from the stage, dragged that bitch down the aisle and through the lobby by her ratty-ass Korean weave, and dumped her on the sidewalk.

I went to an otherwise lovely orchestra event last weekend. Some dumb parents brought their 2 teenaged boys, who brought their gaming devices (with headphones, thank goodness). However, the lighting was such a huge distraction, and the boys never once looked up, stood up for applause, etc. Every once in a while the dad would gently knock one of them for talking or laughing. It made my partner become even less interested in going out to these events. Why are people trash now? Why can't we just go to a play or something and have a nice, quiet, lovely time?

Reminds me that all theater patrons should have to watch this PSA from Coco Peru before attending events.

Don't people WANT audience drama at the cinema or theatre, if there's a black audience? I was told this is part of the multiculti experience.

r11/13 are absolutely correct. Wendell Pierce made this much worse by not clearing the stage when told to by the Stage Manager. The delay was twice as long, and the unruly patron was validated because she got Pierce to "see" her.
Yet every report I read after this lauded him for "calming down" the patron.
Bullshit. She interrupted the performance.
He destroyed it.

Get the actors offstage, close the curtain, bring up the house lights. Get the house manager and at least a couple others over to the offending person and tell that person to leave, if not the cops will arrive. If the person doesn't comply, wait for the cops to get there. That's how this is usually handled. What kind of ghetto-ass shit was this? Totally mishandled.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | January 24, 2023 6:16 PM |
The safety protocol is there to protect the performers and the audience. Follow procedures and protocol.
The first aim in any unavoidable conflict is deescalation, this could not happen when the lead actor is going back and forth with the drunk.
