Deranged heifer ruins “Death of a Salesman”

They just let anyone into a Broadway theater these days, I guess.

What did she actually say?

by Anonymousreply 1December 29, 2022 2:17 PM

The only thing that I could make out in the video that she said was "I watch you on TV, or "I'll watch you on TV." That, and give me my money back.

I would have liked to see her try that with Patti LuPone. Patti would have leapt from the stage, and clocked her.

by Anonymousreply 2December 29, 2022 2:25 PM

I am disappointed that there was no actual bovine presence. This is what Broadway needs,

by Anonymousreply 3December 29, 2022 2:28 PM

I'd pay to see THAT show!

Death of a Patron.

She’s wearing a fur coat and had an orchestra seat—so must be a woman of means.

She’s also a nut

by Anonymousreply 6December 29, 2022 2:33 PM

When will she sue the theater and police for assault and racial discrimination?

by Anonymousreply 7December 29, 2022 9:38 PM

So. Strange. What was the problem

by Anonymousreply 8December 29, 2022 10:40 PM

The Hollywood Reporter suggested this shameful incident is the result of intoxicated theater goers.

by Anonymousreply 9December 29, 2022 10:55 PM

Mugshot revealed.

The lead actor prolonged this terrible incident. The stage manager asked all performers to leave the stage while this was handled and instead, he attempted to reason with an unreasonable person.

On TikTok, a video has been shared that recorded another disruptive audience member yelling at theater goers in a separate incident. Datalounge will not permit me to link the footage here.

I stay home, people are wearying.

by Anonymousreply 11December 30, 2022 12:17 AM

What trash. I saw Hadestown the other day and some fat bastard in the back kept coughing loudly as if any moment he would drop dead. An usher escorted him out and he made a fuss about it. That was bad enough. This belligerent beast in OP's video should never have tried to attend. Stay home if you can't be decent.

by Anonymousreply 12December 30, 2022 12:40 AM

Not following protocol makes bad situation, worse.

This incident reminded me of the Academy Award fiasco. Things sometimes go sideways but there is a protocol that deals with situation that go sideways.

When the stage manager advises the performers to leave the stage, follow those directions.

Smith charges the stage to assault a peer? You treat that situation like any other medical emergency.

The program goes to commercial and you attend to those in need of medical treatment.

You don't keep the camera rolling and allow Smith to remain in attendance to receive the award.

by Anonymousreply 13December 30, 2022 7:58 PM

Embarrassing.

by Anonymousreply 14December 30, 2022 8:43 PM

Who is this woman?

by Anonymousreply 15December 30, 2022 8:46 PM

R15 Random drunk trash

by Anonymousreply 16December 30, 2022 8:48 PM

She was an acclaimed Marty Maraschino in the Camp Laurel South Theatre's production of "Grease."

by Anonymousreply 17December 30, 2022 9:01 PM

We only dealin wit a perception uh crime.

by Anonymousreply 18December 30, 2022 9:06 PM

They should sue her

by Anonymousreply 19December 30, 2022 9:07 PM

This went on too long

The theater should sue this couple for loss

by Anonymousreply 21December 30, 2022 9:41 PM

Loss of what?

by Anonymousreply 22December 31, 2022 1:29 AM

Let's bring more black people to the theater!

by Anonymousreply 23December 31, 2022 9:51 AM

Attention, attention must be finally paid to such a cunt!

by Anonymousreply 24December 31, 2022 10:45 AM

Sharon D. Clarke shouldn't have poured red paint on the lady's fur.

by Anonymousreply 25December 31, 2022 12:05 PM

Has the woman been ID-ed?

by Anonymousreply 26December 31, 2022 12:59 PM

Gotta love the no-taste fur coat?!!! Were sippy cups of $24 “a glass” awful wine involved!?!?

by Anonymousreply 27December 31, 2022 1:25 PM

This is old news but this incident disturbed me. What a disgraceful incident, infuriating really.

by Anonymousreply 28January 24, 2023 1:05 AM

Patti LuPone would've leapt from the stage, dragged that bitch down the aisle and through the lobby by her ratty-ass Korean weave, and dumped her on the sidewalk.

by Anonymousreply 29January 24, 2023 1:39 AM

I went to an otherwise lovely orchestra event last weekend. Some dumb parents brought their 2 teenaged boys, who brought their gaming devices (with headphones, thank goodness). However, the lighting was such a huge distraction, and the boys never once looked up, stood up for applause, etc. Every once in a while the dad would gently knock one of them for talking or laughing. It made my partner become even less interested in going out to these events. Why are people trash now? Why can't we just go to a play or something and have a nice, quiet, lovely time?

by Anonymousreply 30January 24, 2023 9:55 AM

Reminds me that all theater patrons should have to watch this PSA from Coco Peru before attending events.

I like the person that asks Is this part of the show?

by Anonymousreply 32January 24, 2023 10:11 AM

We need Rikers back. Now.

by Anonymousreply 33January 24, 2023 11:35 AM

Don't people WANT audience drama at the cinema or theatre, if there's a black audience? I was told this is part of the multiculti experience.

by Anonymousreply 34January 24, 2023 12:07 PM

r11/13 are absolutely correct. Wendell Pierce made this much worse by not clearing the stage when told to by the Stage Manager. The delay was twice as long, and the unruly patron was validated because she got Pierce to "see" her.

Yet every report I read after this lauded him for "calming down" the patron.

Bullshit. She interrupted the performance.

He destroyed it.

by Anonymousreply 35January 24, 2023 12:49 PM

And then he died

by Anonymousreply 36January 24, 2023 5:08 PM

Get the actors offstage, close the curtain, bring up the house lights. Get the house manager and at least a couple others over to the offending person and tell that person to leave, if not the cops will arrive. If the person doesn't comply, wait for the cops to get there. That's how this is usually handled. What kind of ghetto-ass shit was this? Totally mishandled.

by Anonymousreply 37January 24, 2023 6:16 PM

The safety protocol is there to protect the performers and the audience. Follow procedures and protocol.

The first aim in any unavoidable conflict is deescalation, this could not happen when the lead actor is going back and forth with the drunk.

The 38-year-old man was walking on Greenwich Street near Rector Street around 1:40 a.m. when the suspect confronted him with the question, authorities said.
